While Barbs may still be bummed that Nicki Minaj‘s fifth album Pink Friday 2, which was supposed to be released tomorrow (November 17), won’t arrive for another few weeks, they can still look forward to a tour announcement. Tomorrow also marks the premiere of The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes.

Ahead of the premiere, Rachel Zegler shared a hilarious story on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon about how she accidentally started a rumor that Minaj would be on the movie’s soundtrack.

“It was one of those things where there’s a character named Barb Azure in the movie,” said Zegler. “And the actress who plays Barb Azure has a great sense of humor. Her name is Honor Gillies. She’s so fantastic and posted a video of Nicki Minaj saying, ‘Calling all Barbz’ when she got cast. And her character plays the standup bass in the movie so obviously I commented, ‘Slappin’ that super bass.’ As you would.”

This comment was quickly sniffed out by the Barbz, who immediately began sharing theories on social media that Minaj would contribute to the soundtrack.

“They were screenshotting those comments, posting them all over social media, being like, ‘What is Mother doing?’ They are very, very, very dedicated and amazing,” said Zegler of Minaj’s fan army. “I am a Barb. I love Nicki. But she’s not on the album.”

At one point, Zegler herself even believed Minaj may appear on the soundtrack, recalling how Minaj once shared a video with “The Hanging Tree” from The Hunger Games playing in the background.

“She knew what she was doing. I had no idea what I was doing,” Zegler said. “I didn’t know if she was on the soundtrack so I was like, ‘Okay.’”

Barbz can look forward to hearing Pink Friday 2 on December 8, on the birthday of the Queen Barb herself.

Cardi B Came To Will Smith’s Defense Following The ‘Absolutely Ridiculous’ Duane Martin Rumor

Earlier this week, Will Smith‘s alleged former assistant claimed that he saw the Oscar winner and actor Duane Martin, who appeared in one episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, having sex in a dressing room. The “absolutely ridiculous” allegation was made on the Unwine With Tasha K podcast hosted by Tasha K, who earlier this year filed for bankruptcy after Cardi B won a nearly $4 million defamation verdict against her (a judge upheld the decision). The “WAP” rapper sounded like she was ready to forgive her, but not anymore.

“I don’t like how I got fooled a couple of weeks ago… some people just never change,” Cardi D said on Instagram Live on Wednesday night, seemingly referencing Tasha K. Vibe reports that she then defended Will Smith.

“I don’t like what people be doing to Will Smith. I be feeling like Will Smith is very unproblematic and I feel like he has a nice heart, and that’s the thing. I found out that Will Smith is a Libra… Libras, we be getting tried, we be getting tried, and then when we outburst, we outburst so f*cking heavy, that we become the ones in the wrong.”

Cardi D continued, “I don’t like that some people never f*cking change. I’m so tired of people picking on that man, dead ass. Your job as a journalist, you should be able to detect whether somebody is bullsh*tting or not. Because anybody can say something about anybody. Look what happened to me in 2018 when a b*tch… I didn’t even know her f*cking name was saying that she know me… Anybody can say a f*cking fake ass story about you and people gonna f*cking fake ass believe it. So it should be your job to detect whether something is a lie or not.”

The Full Video Of ‘Ted Lasso’s Jason Sudeikis And Hannah Waddingham Singing Lady Gaga’s ‘Shallow’ Is Now Available

Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham staged an epic Ted Lasso reunion on Sunday night as the former co-stars launched into a surprise performance of “Shallow” from the 2018 Lady Gaga film, A Star Is Born.

The Ted Lasso stars were on hand for Steps of Faith’s seventh annual variety show “Thundergong!” that raises funds for “amputees in need of prosthetic limbs and financial aid,” according to Decider. However, the “Shallow” performance originally started as a duet between Sudeikis and his old plan and former Saturday Night Live castmate Will Forte.

“There is nobody I’d rather sing this song with,” Sudeikis said as he launched into Bradley Cooper’s part of the song. But when Forte got ready to belt out Lady Gaga’s verse, Waddingham’s vocals beat him to the punch as she come out and muscled Forte off of the stage. Rolling with the punches, Sudeikis joined his Ted Lasso co-star for the rest of the duet.

The two sang so hard that Waddingham was hoarse while appearing on The View the next morning.

“As you can hear, it was quite a lot of fun,” Waddingham told the panel while sharing a clip of the musical Ted Lasso reunion. “I decided I was a rock star for the night, hence sounding quite like a drag queen today.”

Timothée Chalamet Reprised His Soundcloud Rapper Character SmokeCheddaThaAssGetta In A ‘Hip-Hop 50’-Themed ‘SNL’ Sketch

In his second time hosting Saturday Night Live, Timothée Chalamet brought back an old favorite. Reprising his Soundcloud rapper role, SmokeCheddaThaAssGetta, Chalamet spoke on a special panel honoring the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.

During the sketch, a moderator named Nunya Business, played by Ego Nwodim, hosts a group of hip-hop experts at the Museum Of Hip-Hop. On the panel are Mary J. Blige (Punkie Johnson), Dr. Cornel West (Kenan Thompason), Rick Rubin (James Austin Johnson), and SmokeCheddaThaAssGetta.

Evidently, SmokeCheddaThaAssGetta has broken the streaming record, which, according to Nunya, makes him “the most successful hip-hop artist of all time.”

While on the panel, Johnson’s Blige posits that hip-hop has thrived for more than 50 years, given the pure emotion in the music. Meanwhile, SmokeCheddaThaAssGetta is confused, as he initially thought hip-hop was discovered in 2014. However, he simply sums up his reasoning for Hip-Hop’s longevity, saying, “the opps gonna slide, but DMs be popping regardless.”

Elsewhere in the panel, SmokeCheddaThaAssGetta opens up about his struggles, hilariously noting “My dad made me get braces when I wanted Invisalign.” He also mentioned his sidekick in the rap game, Guaplord, who, in SmokeChedda’s first sketch, was played by Pete Davidson.

“He gotta lay low in Turkey for a minute,” SmokeCheddaThaAssGetta said.

Timothée Chalamet Celebrated The End Of The SAG-AFTRA Strike With ‘Shameless Self-Promotion’ On ‘SNL’

In the first Saturday Night Live episode since the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike, this week’s host, Timothée Chalamet wasted no time. Tonight (November 11), the actor hosted the show for the second time.

The first time Chalamet hosted was back in 2020, amid the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. While both of his hosting gigs thus far took place at weird times, Chalamet fully embraced the newfound freedom to talk about his work. During tonight’s episode, Chalamet was excited to promote his upcoming projects, Wonka and Dune: Part II.

He broke out into song, singing to the tune of “Pure Imagination” from the original Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory.

“Come with me / and you’ll be / in a world of shameless self-promotion / It’s okay / That my new film Wonka is out in theaters December 15,” Chalamet sang.

He was then interrupted by SNL actor Marcello Hernandez, with whom, Chalamet established that they both have baby faces. The two then broke out into a hilarious rap about the reality of living with baby faces.

They were joined by fellow SNL actors Punkie Johnson and Kenan Thompson, the latter of whom jokingly claimed to be 63 years old, but maintained a youthful appearance due to his baby face.

You can see Chalamet’s opening monologue above.

Ryan Gosling Is Now A Grammy Nominee Thanks To His Smash ‘Barbie’ Hit

ken barbie
warner bros.

It should not be a shock to you that Ryan Gosling is a talented musician, or that the man has a Halloween-themed band called Dead Mans Bones where he sings about death alongside a choir of schoolchildren. The fact that that wasn’t nominated for a Grammy is shocking, but they seem to be making up for it this year by finally recognizing Gosling’s contribution to the music industry and giving him a Grammy nom. He’s come so far.

I’m Just Ken” from Warner Bros smash hit Barbie received a nomination for Best Song Written For Visual Media, along with fellow Barbie nominee Billie Eilish, who also received a nom for “What Was I Made For,” a song that will make you cry no matter where you are or what you are doing. Also nominated are Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, and Aqua for “Barbie World” and Dua Lipa for “Dance The Night” so Barbie has some stiff competition with herself.

Unfortunately, Gosling did not receive recognition for his cover of “Push” by Matchbox Twenty but there’s always the Kid’s Choice Awards for that one.

Barbie’s director Greta Gerwig told Rolling Stone earlier this year that the track came together organically. “He has a beautiful voice, and he’s a beautiful dancer. We kind of got there organically. I think if I had said, ‘I want you to sing and dance in this movie,’ he would not have necessarily done that for me. But it was kind of that thing of boiling a lobster. I think by the time he was singing and dancing, he didn’t even totally know how we had gotten there. [Laughs] But he’s so fabulous at it.” Pete Davidson was also fabulous at it.

Until the Grammys hold the ceremony where the winners are announced, feel free to watch this video every day.

(WARNING: Spoilers for this week’s Rap Sh!t episode will be found below.)

The events in the second episode of Max’s Rap Sh!t season two, titled “Heavy Traffic,” are soundtracked by songs that help to accentuate the emotions behind each scene. You can find a list of them below and details about the scenes the records were heard in.

Hood Brat, A.Chic, TT The Artist, Raedio — “Call Me Daddy”

We hear this record during the opening scene of “Heavy Traffic” as Shawna, Mia, Reina Reign, Duke, and Francois film a TikTok on their tour bus. The group shows off the bus and their new tour lifestyle to their followers with the video.

Smino — “Settle Down” Feat. Cory Henry & Ravyn Lenae

Smino’s Luv 4 Rent record plays around the 3:03 mark as Shawna & Mia get ready for their first performance. The duo is dressed in aprons as they believe that they’ll be matching Reina Reign, but Duke informs them that Reina will not be on theme with them which frustrates both Shawna and Mia.

Nardo Wick — “G Nikes” Feat. Polo G

Nardo Wick’s track with Polo G is heard around the 4:42 mark as we check in with Lamont and his daughter Melissa. Due to an early release from her school, and the unavailability of Lamont’s grandmother and Mia’s mom, Lamont is forced to bring Melissa to the studio with him as he works with an artist.

Reina Reign — “Tongue (Remix)” Feat. Shawna & Mia

Around the 6:38 mark, this track plays as Shawna & Mia take the stage with Reina Reign to perform their remix of “Tongue.” Though the performance went well, it’s clear that Shawna & Mia aren’t on the same page during this performance. Shawna, frustrated by how she and Mia looked on stage, confronts Mia about their performance, but it doesn’t go too well.

Raedio & Lord AK — “Suicide Mission”

We hear this song around the 13:08 mark as Lord AK goes on stage to begin his performance. Shawna, impressed, is in the crowd watching the performance before she’s pulled away by Duke and Mia to go to Lord AK’s green room.

Future — “Like Me” Feat. 42 Dugg & Lil Baby

Future’s I Never Liked You song plays around the 17:13 mark as Duke finally gets into Lord AK’s green room where the party is live and active. Duke meets one of Lord AK’s closest associates, Gat, and offers him some party favors to enhance his party experience.

Ron Suno — “Door”

This track plays around the 18:42 mark as Duke finds Shawna & Mia in the party. She’s clearly under the influence after taking a bit of cocaine with Gat. Duke launches into an energetic rant about making money and finding opportunities that leaves Shawna and Mia very confused.

Dear Silas — “Smoke” Feat. Sauce Father

Around the 19:45 mark, the track can be heard as Mia joins the fun of the party to play a game of flip cup with a gentleman we later find out to be Courtney Lou, the artist that Lamont told Mia to look out for. Meanwhile, Shawna stumbles into a few awkward moments at the party including one where she’s told that she gives “Rapsody vibes… if she was a hoe.”

Peachcurls — “Ass Shaker”

Peachcurls’ track can be heard around the 22:19 mark as the party in Lord AK’s room is still going strong. Shawna tries to talk to Gat but he pays her no mind. He instead kicks off a game where the winner will get to go on Lord AK’s tour bus. This game does nothing but show Gat’s colorism, and when Shawna calls him out for it and flexes her rap knowledge, he rudely sprays her with champagne.

Baby Rose — “Fight Club” Feat. Georgia Anne Muldrow

Baby Rose’s Through And Through highlight plays around the 28:27 mark to close the episode as Shawna cleans herself after she is showered with champagne by Gat. She’s also frustrated by the disconnect between her and Mia, something that only gets worse when Mia lets the crew know that she’ll fly into the next city because she got an offer to spend some time with Cash.

New episodes of ‘Rap Sh!t’ are available on Max on Thursday at 3am EST/ 12 pm PST.

Reina Reign — “Tongue”

We hear this record during the opening scene of “Yield” as Reina Reign, Shawna, and Mia are shooting a video for their remix of “Tongue.” The trio are in a pink-lit kitchen for a video and they’re all directed to show their sex appeal while working with kitchen items, something that Shawna struggles to get the hang of.

Shawna & Mia & Raedio — “Seduce & Scheme”

This is the theme song of Rap Sh!t. It plays around the 2:17 mark in “Yield.” The song originally debuted in the inaugural episode of Rap Sh!t and it was the first song Shawna and Mia made after establishing their rap duo. An official full-length version of the song was recorded in season one, episode two.

Fana Hues — “Float”

Fana Hues’ Flora + Fana record can be heard around the 7:57 mark as Mia meets with her Melissa’s father Lamont to ask if he can watch Melissa for two of the four weeks she’s on tour. There’s some tension between the two following last season’s events, but Lamont agrees to prioritize Melissa and take care of her during Mia’s tour.

Ice Spice — “Bikini Bottom”

Ice Spice’s hit song “Bikini Bottom” plays around the 9:08 mark as Shawna, Mia, and Duke meet at Francois’ house ahead of the tour. It’s here that Shawna, Mia, and Duke learn that the duo will only be able to perform one song, their “Tongue” remix, during their slot as the opening act for Lord AK. Additionally, there’s no guarantee that Shawna, Mia, and Duke will make money. Despite Duke’s frustrations and objections, Shawna & Mia decide to still go through with the tour.

Enchanting & Gucci Mane — “Issa Photoshoot”

Around the 12:52 mark, this record plays during a going away party for Mia with her friends and family. The drinks are flowing but the tension between Mia and her mother is still high as her mother is upset that Mia won’t let Melissa stay with her while she’s on tour. Mia and her sister also share an emotional moment before Mia’s mother gives a drunken speech.

Jordan Ward & Joony — “IDC”

Jordan Ward’s Forward track plays as Shawna and Francois hang out in the latter’s pool around the 15:22 mark. The two play a game of Never Have I Ever and reminisce about the memories they had as a former music duo as well as the things that happened after they split.

Jacques Laine — “Little Haiti” Feat. Seddy Hendrix

We hear this song around the 17:11 mark as Mia takes a dive into the pool and Francois joins her shortly after. We then transition to Lamont showing up to Mia’s party with Throat Coat as a going-away gift for Mia’s tour.

Rayn Lenae — “Skin Tight” Feat. Steve Lacy

Ravyn Lenae’s Hypnos record plays around the 22:12 mark during an intimate moment between Shawna and Maurice. It comes after the two shared a toast ahead of Shawna’s tour where Maurice wished her luck and celebrated her accomplishments.

Jean Deaux — “JD’s Revenge”

This track plays to close episode one after Maurice meets with his friend Stanley to let him know that he’s been called in for questioning by the police concerning the fraud investigation that’s ongoing at the old hotel Maurice and Shawna worked at. Maurice assures Stanley that Shawna did not snitch on them to the police, despite not having any proof of that, and Stanley warns that he will throw Shawna under the bus if it comes to it.

New episodes of ‘Rap Sh!t’ are available on Max on Thursday at 3am EST/ 12 pm PST.

Joe Jonas Got A Perfectly Nathan Fielder Response After Sending ‘The Curse’ Star A Drink

Nathan Fielder

Joe Jonas is apparently a huge Nathan Fielder fan. So when the pop singer recently spotted the The Curse star at a restaurant, Jonas made a friendly gesture and the response he got back was pure Nathan Fielder.

Jonas recalled the encounter in an Instagram video posted over the weekend, and he made sure to include photographic proof of the exchange.

“So last night, I noticed Nathan Fielder was at the same restaurant I was having dinner at in L.A.,” Jonas said via Entertainment Weekly. “I wanted to send him a drink, so I asked the waiter if we could send something over, and they said, ‘You have good taste,’ which made me feel good about my loving all things Nathan Fielder.”

Later, Jonas received a “thank you” from Fielder in the form of a bowl of mayonnaise. Jonas shared a picture of the “gift” to cap off the video, which you can see below:

Awkwardness is the key to Fielder’s comedy, so the mayonnaise exchange completely tracks. The comedian is terrible at human interactions, and he also has had some terrible moments dealing with high-profile fans. According to a 2022 New York Times article, Elon Musk was reportedly obsessed with trying to make Fielder laugh. The Rehearsal star did not break.

“Mr. Musk — a huge fan — invited Mr. Fielder to lunch at SpaceX in 2016,” the NYT reported. “For years afterward, the famous businessman invited the famous fake businessman to his parties and would strain to make the deadpan Canadian laugh.”

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Is Following The NFL’s Footsteps By Luring In Taylor Swift Fans To Juice Ratings

Do you hear the faint jingling of several thousand sequins? That’s the Taylor Swift night on Dancing With The Stars coming soon to a screen near you.

It’s maybe a slight coincidence but let’s break down some facts: the Kansas City Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles on ABC next Monday, the day before DWTS. We know that Swift has been showing up to some recent games, and the NFL has been using Swiftian Concepts for their own personal benefit, so is it really far-fetched to believe DWTS is using Swift’s God-like status as a way to boost viewership after a lackluster season? You decide!

The long-running dancing competition will feature Swift’s Eras Tour choreographer Mandy Moore (not that one) as a special guest judge for its “Celebration Of Taylor Swift” night on Tuesday, November 21st. The six remaining couples will shake it off to various Swift cuts. If you ever wanted to see the likes of Alyson Hannigan and Jason Mraz battle it out on the Swift-inspired dance floor, now is your chance. Also, you must be from the year 2008, welcome.

While there is no confirmation that Swift will appear at the Chiefs game or even acknowledge the Dancing With The Stars night, she will be in Argentina this weekend, so maybe we can give her a day off from running through everyone’s brains.
