Not only did she show up to the Met Gala in a literal cat suit, with feline prosthetics, she also meowed her way through several interviews. While not a bit itself, Doja may have gotten herself barred from future Met Galas after vaping on the red carpet.

Also on display is the aforementioned back tattoo, with the picture doing a great job highlighting the work. However, it is pretty where your eye is meant to be drawn to.

If that was the first image she was dropping, one had to wonder just how far the other eight images in the posts would go. Except, surprise, the post is a perfectly executed troll. The other eight images are just the same shot from behind as the second image in the set. “The way I swiped thru every one lol” reads one comment, that has received over 16,000 likes. The set itself has received nearly 1.7 million likes after being posted on Saturday morning. “well u didn’t lie” reads another comment with over 11,000 likes. Designer duds weren’t the only thing the “Kill Bill” rapper left New York City with. In a series of images uploaded to the entertainer’s Instagram page, she shared an epic new bat skeleton tattoo that spans across the entirety of her back.

Last month, the musician set the internet ablaze after sharing a picture of her previous tattoo. Users called the singer “demonic” and declared the ink was proof that she was recruited into the secret society group, the Illuminati. The 2023 Met Gala went with a theme honoring late designer Karl Lagerfeld, and while that decision may have proven to be controversial, the assembled stars certainly went above and beyond to stick to it — especially Doja Cat, who went as Lagerfeld’s beloved cat Choupette. Doja really committed to the bit, even going so far as to only “meow” in response to questions during her red-carpet interview with Emma Chamberlain.

The special effects artist who helped to create Doja’s facial prosthetic for the cat look shared some process photos on Instagram, while Instagram itself — along with Vogue — posted a few videos detailing the behind-the-scenes creation of Doja the Cat. While Oscar de la Renta co-creative directors Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim designed the look, prosthetic artist Malina Stearns and makeup artist Ernesto Casillas created the mask. It took four hours to apply, but Doja was alright with that since it was her idea in the first place.
