Diddy Labels Lil Rod’s Claims “Pure Fiction” In New Motion

Diddy is fighting back against Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ bombshell lawsuit, in which he accuses the Bad Boy mogul of sexually harassing, drugging, and threatening him. NBC News obtained a motion from Diddy’s legal team on Monday, in which they argue to dismiss Jones’ case. His attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, originally filed the lawsuit back in February. They’re seeking damages amounting to $30 million.

The motion claims that Jones’ lawsuit is rampant with lies. “Running to nearly 100 pages, it includes countless tall tales, shameless celebrity namedrops, and irrelevant images,” it reads. Diddy’s lawyer Erica Wolff, added in a statement: “Mr. Jones’s lawsuit is pure fiction — a shameless attempt to create media hype and extract a quick settlement. There was no RICO conspiracy and Mr. Jones was not threatened, groomed, assaulted, or trafficked. We look forward to proving — in a court of law — that all of Mr. Jones’s claims are made-up and must be dismissed.” They further accused Jones of trying to “generate media hype and exploit it to extract a settlement.”

In response, Blackburn said that he hasn’t gotten a chance to read through the motion in its entirety, but reaffirmed his support for his client. “This is clearly a billing exercise by individuals who are late to the game and are attempting to fill their pockets before their client is indicted,” he said. Blackburn is also representing April Lampros, who is suing Diddy for four alleged instances of sexual assault. Diddy has already denied those claims as well.

The string of lawsuits against Diddy began last year, when Cassie accused him of rape, sex trafficking, and physical assault in a lawsuit of her own. The two quickly settled that case. Be on the lookout for further updates on Diddy on HotNewHipHop.

Boosie Badazz Addresses Snitching Accusations After Gun Case Dismissal

Earlier this month, Boosie Badazz finally got a happy ending to his longwinded legal battle, as his federal gun case was dismissed in San Diego. As expected, the Louisiana-born rapper got emotional while sharing the news with fans on Instagram, thanking god and sharing his hopes for the future. Unfortunately, however, some social media users were immediately suspicious of how exactly he got off.

This led to speculation that Boosie might have “snitched” on someone else in order to walk free. He denied this during a recent interview with VladTV, insisting that the accusations don’t even make sense. According to him, there wasn’t anyone he could have snitched on, as nobody else was facing charges. “Four people got caught, I’m the only one that got charged,” he explained, laughing. “Who the f*ck imma tell on? That sh*t cr*zy.”

Elsewhere in the interview, he shared that he’s currently preparing to file to legally carry a gun again for his own peace of mind. “We should be allowed to protect ourselves,” he also added. “We’re targets, everybody wants what we got, bro.”

Upon revealing that his case was dismissed, he also said that he planned to travel with his family, something he seems to have missed since getting charged. “I’m at a loss for words right now, man,” he explained following the exciting news. “I’m gonna take me a trip cross country, bro. Got to about three different countries. God good, boy. He’ll make a way out of no way. That n***a love me, bro.” What do you think of Boosie Badazz facing snitching accusations after his gun charge got dismissed this month? Alec Baldwin Sobs In Court As His Manslaughter Case Gets Dismissed

Today was the third day of Alec Baldwin’s manslaughter trial, and already, the actor has gotten some great news. Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer granted the defense’s motion to dismiss the case. Unsurprisingly, he broke down in tears upon hearing the judge’s ruling, as this has surely been a hard road for the 66-year-old. He could have spent up to 18 months behind bars had he been convicted. Baldwin was also spotted hugging his wife, Hilaria, in the courtroom.

In the defense’s motion, they argued that live ammunition related to the accidental shooting that took the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was “concealed” from them. Judge Sommer says this “injected needless delay into the proceedings,” and was “highly prejudicial to the defendant.” She also dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning that Baldwin cannot be retried on the same charge.

Alec Baldwin Gets Emotional While Judge Explains Her Ruling

“There is no way for the court to right this wrong,” she explained as Baldwin grew emotional. The dismissal comes after lead prosecutor Kari T. Morrissey took the stand, giving her account of why the ammunition was not handed over to the defense. “It was my impression that they did not match the live rounds from the set of ‘Rust,’” she explained, also claiming to have only seen a photo of it. The evidence was later brought into the courtroom in an envelope and examined. It was then determined that some of the rounds did match the ones found on set. “I never saw them until today,” Morrissey claimed.

“They buried it,” one of Baldwin’s lawyers Luke Nikas said of the evidence at the time. “They put it under a different case with a different number.” Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the film’s armorer, is currently serving an 18-month sentence for loading the live rounds into the gun that killed Hutchins. What do you think of Alec Baldwin’s manslaughter case getting dismissed with prejudice? What about his emotional reaction to the judge’s ruling? As such, I have determined that the proper course of action is for all of the claims and all of the allegations to be withdrawn immediately.”

Diddy Scores Legal Win In Diageo & DeLeon Tequila Case, Will Move Forward

In the ongoing case of Diddy versus Diageo, the company that allegedly mismanaged his DeLeon tequila brand and was discriminatory, he just scored a significant victory. Moreover, the liquor conglomerate motioned to dismiss the case altogether or reach private settlement, according to court documents from Thursday in New York state court. The Bad Boy mogul watched as Judge Joel M. Cohen rejected these proposals, thus moving the case forward into state jurisdiction and opening the trial to the public. Sean Combs initially filed this lawsuit in May. It claimed that the company breached its partnership deal by failing to support profits and promotion,

Furthermore, this also prompted accusations of racism from Diddy, as he claimed Diageo mistreated their agreement due to his race in comparison to their other lucrative deals. In June, the company denied any and all claims, accusing the musician, executive, and businessman of trying to squeeze even more money out of them. They severed ties with him, alleging that he “repeatedly undermined [their] partnerships. [He] threatened to publicly defame Diageo if [they] did not meet his unreasonable financial demands,” according to a spokeswoman.

In addition, Diageo labeled Diddy as “an unreliable and untrustworthy business partner” who did not fulfill his responsibilities in the deal. Simultaneously with these claims, they motioned for dismissal or closed-doors settlements, given that the parties signed a binding arbitration agreement. Still, the judge did not grant these requests after hearing arguments on both sides for over 90 minutes. “This case has always been about getting fair and equal treatment,” John Hueston, Combs’ lawyer, stated. “Today’s decision is an important step in the right direction. Diageo tried to end this action. Today the judge soundly rejected that effort.”

“I’m fighting for fair and equal treatment for everyone,” the hitmaker chimed in. “This isn’t just about me. I look forward to continuing this fight in court. We all deserve the same 24 hours.” Here’s what a spokesperson for Diageo had to say about this. “While we are disappointed with yesterday’s procedural decision, it is important to underscore that this is not a ruling on the merits of the claims, which we maintain are false and baseless. We are currently considering all legal options.” On that note, check back in with HNHH for the latest updates and more news on Diddy.
