Diddy Confirms He’s Dating Yung Miami, Opens Up About Relationship

Diddy is ready for the smoke.

The hip-hop mogul sat down with Yung Miami for a “real raw and uncut” interview as part of her new REVOLT series “Caresha Please.” The City Girl put her man in the hot seat while questioning him about their much-talked-about relationship.

“What’s your relationship status?” Miami asked off the bat.

“I’m single, but I’m dating, taking my time with life,” said the 52-year-old icon before she asked him to define their status.

“We date. We’re dating. We go have dates, we friends. We go to exotic locations, we have great times,” he said. “We go to strip clubs, church. I’ma take you to church.”

Caresha then asked her man what it is that he likes about her. “‘Cause you authentic. You’re like one of the realest people I ever met,” he said. “You’re authentically yourself and you’re a great mother and a great friend.. You the funnest.”

Later, she described the difference between Yung Miami (“I’m outside, I’m acting bad”) and Caresha (“Old lady, in the house, kids, watching Lifetime”).

Diddy says he fell for Caresha. “I get advice from Caresha. Caresha tell me don’t be in your head. You’re just a good friend.”

For their first date, which occurred after the BET Awards in June 2021, he planned to take her surfing, but she didn’t show. “I was like I can’t go surfing with my wig,” she laughed.

Instead, he took her on vacation to Love Island. “Love Island was lit. I wanna go back,” she said.

When asked if he considers himself “toxic,” he said, “I would say that it gets toxic. I’m not tryna be toxic.” When pressed further, he admitted that he is toxic. “I think, like, at times.”

Miami also asked him if he is a cheater (“I used to be a cheater”) and what label he would put on their relationship. “We go together now?” he asked Caresha, who responded, “Real bad.”

Plus, he addressed the drama between Miami and his ex Gina Huynh. “It was messy. Just one of those days. Had to polish things up. Had to press the reset button and keep it moving,” said Puff. “I’m not tryna get messy. I’m just tryna live my life and have a good time and stay out the way, do whatever the f**k I wanna do.”

In addition to their love life, Diddy opened up about his newest business venture, Love Records. He has signed Jozzy as the first artist and plans to release his new R&B album on the label.

“Don’t you miss R&B?” he asked. “R&B hasn’t been around… It got like canceled or something. It just got off the radio and people stopped buying it and treating it like the part of African American culture that it is, so I’m just doing what I love to do and R&B, that’s my first love.”

The album may include a collaboration with City Girls called “Act Bad.” “It’s an act bad summer,” said Miami, while Diddy added, “Acting bad is just having fun.”

Diddy: Biggie’s “Hypnotize” Video Shoot Was First Time We Tried Ecstasy

Screen Shot 2022 05 25 at 12.16.24 PM

While posthumously celebrating the 50th birthday of the Notorious B.I.G., Diddy participated in TIDAL’s Twitter Spaces convo about the King Of New York, where he shared some of his most memorable experiences with the late Brooklyn legend. One memory that has raised eyebrows, especially during the country’s opiate epidemic, is Diddy telling the story of when he and Biggie first tried Ecstacy on the set of the “Hypnotize” video.

During the TIDAL convo, Diddy said, “Ah man, the video was fun.” He continued: “That was like the first time we both tried ecstasy. I mean, it was an experience, you know what I’m saying? Ayo, Biggie’s 50. Check this out, we have nothing to hide. That was a long time ago… it was the first time. It was just a little nibble, it was all right. It was a little nibble. But we was in extra high, high spirits. Yeah, this breaking news and s**t. F**k it. On his 50th birthday, I wanna let y’all know that.”

Diddy Said He And Biggie First Tried Ecstasy During The ‘Hypnotize’ Video Shoot

On what would’ve been The Notorious B.I.G.’s 50th birthday, his friend and collaborator Diddy took to Twitter Spaces alongside Jay-Z and Fat Joe (per HipHopDX) and shared stories about the late rapper. Often known for their debauched, lavish music videos, Diddy recalled the shoot for “Hypnotize.” When speaking of the video, Diddy revealed the shooting of the video was the first time the two tried ecstasy.

“I mean, it was an experience, you know what I’m saying?,” said Diddy. “Ayo, Biggie’s 50. Check this out, we have nothing to hide. That was a long time ago… it was the first time. It was just a little nibble, it was all right. It was a little nibble. But we was in extra high, high spirits. Yeah, this breaking news and sh*t. F*ck it. On his 50th birthday, I wanna let y’all know that.”

During a special dinner on Biggie’s 50th birthday, his Junior M.A.F.I.A. collaborator Lil Kim told People she believes Biggie would still dominate hip-hop if he were alive today.

“It’s always important to honor the king. He’s the king. The king lives on,” Kim said. “He’s just an amazing person, amazing artist. […] His legacy. It’s just great. Like, I mean, look at the catalog. Look at everything that he’s accomplished, even at such a young age.”

Diddy Says Jay-Z ‘Filled The Shoes’ Of The Late Notorious B.I.G. And Tupac

This past Saturday, Christopher Wallace, aka The Notorious B.I.G., would have turned 50 years old. Among the many, many celebrations of the Brooklyn rapper’s life and legacy over the weekend was a Twitter Spaces event hosted by Tidal. Thousands of listeners tuned in to hear B.I.G.’s contemporaries, friends, and peers share their stories and remember the giant-sized footprints he left on hip-hop despite his short reign.

One of those peers was Jay-Z, who said that a void was left behind by the deaths of Biggie and his friend-turned-rival Tupac. “That’s a big void,” he admitted, before allowing, “Others stepped in to fill it as well, not just myself.”

Jay received praise from Sean “Diddy” Combs, Biggie’s benefactor as the founder of Bad Boy Records, who told him, “You filled them shoes, though. You came in and we definitely give thanks. You definitely came, and I just know how much Big really looked up to Jay. They looked up to each other. That is crazy you had to step into the shoes of two people. That’s all it was was those two people. They had things on lock.”

He continued, pointing out how, before the two titans’ deaths, Jay was still something of a neophyte, having only released one album, Reasonable Doubt, in 1996. Unfortunately, by the time he’d released its follow-up, In My Lifetime, Vol. 1, both Tupac and Big had been gunned down. “Hov was coming,” Diddy explained to the Spaces listeners, “but it was like these two cats was just so big… I think Hov kept the art of it going and took where they was at and took it even higher.”

In addition to the celebration on Twitter, Big’s birthday was honored by the city of New York with commemorative MetroCards, a series of murals throughout the city, and a crown atop the Empire State Building.
