Buccaneers Star Shaq Barrett’s 2-Year-Old Daughter Drowns In Family Pool

Shaquil Barrett’s two-year-old daughter, Arrayah, drowned in the family’s swimming pool in Tampa, Florida on Sunday. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers confirmed the heartbreaking news later in the day.

“Today’s tragic news is heartbreaking for all members of the Buccaneers family,” the team said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna, and the entire Barrett family during this unimaginably difficult time. While no words can provide true comfort at a time such as this, we offer our support and love as they begin to process this very profound loss of their beloved Arrayah.”

The Tampa Police Department says officers arrived at the residence just before 9:30 AM, after receiving a call that a child had fallen into a pool. They transported Arrayah to a local hospital where they pronounced her dead. “It is not believed to be suspicious in nature at this time, but a purely accidental and tragic incident,” the Tampa PD said in a statement.

Arrayah and the rest of the Barrett family just celebrated her second birthday on April 19. The star linebacker had posted a tribute to her on Instagram writing, “Happy 2nd bday to my cutie girl. So sweet and cute. You made our family complete. I love you baby girl.” Arrayah was the youngest of four children in the family. Shaq and his wife Jordanna’s other kids are ages 11, 9, and 8.

Shaq is now entering his fifth season with the Buccaneers where he’s been named to the Pro Bowl twice. He also led the NFL with 19.5 sacks in 2019. He is coming off of a 2022 season in which he suffered a torn Achilles. Shaq recently signed a four-year, $72 million contract with $34 million guaranteed to remain with the team for the foreseeable future. Ralo Reunites With His Daughter After 5 Years

Ralo has finally reunited with his daughter after spending 5 years apart due to his prison sentence. The 1017 artist had been hit with an 8-year sentence, last year, for trafficking over $2 million in marijuana back in 2018. He received time served in the sentencing. Ralo shared a picture of his reunion with his daughter on Instagram, Sunday.

“I waited 5 long years just to be able to touch my daughter. As soon as I felt her little arms wrap around me in that visitation room it felt like my soul was released from my body,” he captioned a photo of their meet-up. “That shit felt so good that I’ll never forget that feeling. I never called myself a rapper due to the lame shit that goes on in the industry, but I can now honesty say I’m thankful for the rap game, because it helped me take care of my daughter and more my entire bid.

Dwyane Wade’s Daughter Zaya Granted Legal Name & Gender Change

Zaya Wade, the transgender daughter of Dwyane Wade, was just granted a legal name and gender change, according to TMZ. Moreover, on Friday (February 25), they reported that a Los Angeles county judge approved the 15-year-old’s legal identity. Furthermore, this comes after her “proud” father Dwyane petitioned the court, which he first did in August of 2022. Now, in legal terms after coming out as trans in 2020, Zaya Malachi Airamis Wade is a female. While it might anger the most bigoted or close-minded of individuals, this is an important step in Zaya affirming her identity and being recognized as she wishes in the legal sense.

Dwyane had Zaya with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches back in 2007. While Zaya’s become an outspoken voice for trans rights and gender education, her parents had differing approaches to her identity. Moreover, the couple divorced in 2010 after eight years of marriage. The retired NBA star advocated for Zaya’s right to “live more comfortably and honestly in all aspects of her life.” However, Funches accused him of pressuring their daughter’s transition “in order to capitalize on financial opportunities.”

Moreover, she shared a part of her story in a video testimony on TikTok, which many quickly dismissed. “Okay, y’all, my name is Love,” she said in the video. “My given name. I am the biological daughter of Aaliyah Haughton and Robert Kelly, R. Kelly. I just want to tell my truth and tell my mother’s truth because I feel like it’s time and it’s needed. Lil Duval’s old tweets recently resurfaced, and fans are outraged by his explicit comments about his daughter. Moreover, the comedian also wrote about sexual assault and alluded to incredibly concerning explicit content in the same breath as his child. As such, readers are advised to proceed with caution, as Duval’s expressions are quite disturbing. Overall, it’s an avalanche of concerning and repugnant statements, and many pointed out his constant inappropriate behavior.

“I’m not even shocked that lil Duval is predator,” one Twitter user wrote. “He talks weirdly about women all the time and people laugh at this dude like he’s funny. There’s a reason most celebrities avoid him like the plague.” Also, another tweeter pointed out his proximity to other controversial figures. “Y’all surprised Lil Duval said he was gonna be the first dude to f**k his daughter,” they wrote. “As if he’s not best friends with Boosie and an R.Kelly apologist…BIRDS OF A DAMN FEATHER PEOPLE.”
