Travis Scott has revealed a lot to us and the rest of the music world over the past few hours with his feature in GQ magazine. From giving us an inside look at his thoughts on the Astroworld tragedy to his desire to hit the books and become an architect, and even turning UTOPIA into a musical, there is a lot to unpack. Travis is clearly one of the biggest rappers in the world and that is because of his excellent record. Fans waited five years and they got a GRAMMY-nominated tape. What was so cool about UTOPIA was that it ditched the traditional formula that the Houston artist has put forth.

While it does draw heavy inspiration from Kanye West’s Yeezus, it still feels uniquely Travis. One of the reasons for that is due in part to a car ride with his daughter, Stormi. In the interview, he details how he brought back the 2013-2014 La Flame era that many longtime fans would call it. “I was actually riding with Stormi… we were getting fireworks in Houston… Her favorite song is “Mamacita”—it’s like, her favorite song of all time. She plays it all the time in the car, over and over and over, and that’s from this mixtape Days Before Rodeo.”

And I got so excited about that.” It sounds like a special moment for the daddy and daughter and you can certainly hear elements of that time in his career. Gunplay Loses Custody Of Daughter With Vonshae Taylor-Morales

Gunplay has reportedly lost custody of his daughter, Osanna, who he shares with his estranged wife, Vonshae Taylor-Morales. According to TMZ, the rapper failed to appear in court to address the temporary restraining order Vonshae currently has against him. After the court’s ruling, Taylor-Morales spoke about the court’s decision with The Shade Room. She says the Department of Child and Family Services found reasonable grounds for her claims.

Taylor-Morales’ restraining order came after Gunplay was arrested on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, and child abuse. She claims she asked him to quiet down while he was playing Xbox and an argument ensued, eventually turning violent.

Taylor-Morales told The Shade Room: “I was given custody of our daughter. Medical examiners saw my daughter over the weeks to document her strangulation progression. It was concluded that there was no major bodily harm, but it was documented that it happened. [Gunplay] did miss three hearings for my permanent restraining order for us both. I’ve requested a restraining order for [Osanna] until she’s 18 when she’s legally an adult.”

She added that for Gunplay to participate in co-parenting their daughter, he’ll have to use the courts-monitored application, TalkingParents. Visits would also be monitored by the court. As for whether Taylor-Morales will let Osanna keep up with any of the rest of Gunplay’s family, she admitted: “Not most of his family. His son is always welcome to see his sister. His cousin, that I’m close with, still comes to see her and check on her. During a recent interview with People, Ice-T opened up about his parenting style. The 65-year-old admits that the way he and his wife Coco raise their daughter is unconventional, however, he says it works for them. He also shared his thoughts on the 50th anniversary of hip hop, claiming that it’s a genre that brings different generations together.

“The thing about hip-hop is beside being 50, it’s one of the few musics where parents are almost in the same culture as their kids,” he explained. “The only thing is our generation, the early generations, we refused to let our kids be cooler than us. We’re like, ‘You think you understand hip-hop, but you’re not from that golden era.” He went on, revealing what he believes to be the key to parenting.

“The key to having kids is having parental guidance — not necessarily parental control, but guidance to help them understand what it is,” Ice-T says. “My daughter was listening to 2 Live Crew and whatnot. My son used to sing Wu-Tang Clan without saying motherf*cker, and it was amazing.” He adds, “When you talk, it’s kind of like they grow up with you and you share that common bond which is beautiful. It’s beautiful.”

Although the way Ice-T raises his kids is far from the norm, he’s not worried about criticism. “You got to remember this: for anything anybody says about me and Coco, there’s a million billion people that are like f*ck that,” he explains. “So are you gonna listen to the negative? I always say you’re insulated by love. You got so many people out there that love you. You can’t pay attention to the idiots, you know?” He also says that his 7-year-old daughter with Coco, Chanel, is just a “normal kid” enjoying social media. “It’s fun and she likes doing it,” he explained, “We’re not afraid of anything happening.”

As such, it’s no surprise that they would keep things steamy at pretty much any event- including their daughter Kulture’s fifth birthday party. Moreover, Cardi grinded on the former Migo at the Super Mario-themed celebratory bash, which took place on Sunday (July 16) a few days after Kulture’s actual birthday. Still, it seems like they went all out for their daughter, and they both shared sweet messages for her on their social media pages.

“My baby is five,” Cardi B shared on Instagram with various pictures of Kulture. “Happy birthday to my pretty princess. Despite Boosie’s lengthy reply, Tori’s mother has called cap on the rapper’s claims. “What’s funny about a 16-year-old getting her car taken by her father who financed it? If he feel he can’t control the situation. How many times has he wrecked his car and got a new one the next day. Most of the time I can walk away from this. But not this time. He want to do this just because this girl want to come home and help her momma whose been in a car accident and can’t walk.” It definitely appears that there are two stories at play here. On the one hand, you have Boosie claiming that this is all about his daughter’s mother filing for child support. Shaq Barrett Honors Late Daughter With New Tattoo

On April 30, the family of Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Shaquil Barrett suffered a terrible tragedy. Two-year-old Arrayah, Barrett’s youngest daughter, died after drowning in a swimming pool at the family home. The news shocked the NFL, given both Barrett’s well-known status as a family man, and the fact that just the week prior, they had been celebrating Arrayah’s birthday. Barrett has played in the NFL since 2014. Initially an undrafted free agent with the Broncos, he has become a vital part of the Buccaneers’ defense. He is currently recovering from a torn Achilles that sidelined him for the second half of the 2022 season.

On May 11, Barrett made his first comments about Arrayah’s death. “I miss you sooo much baby girl. I love you please watch over us 😘😘#TGBTG” Barrett wrote in a caption on an Instagram video of him and his daughter. Several of Barrett’s teammates shared messages of solidarity. His wife replied, “We love you forever and ever babygirl💕 until we meet again my baby!” In a separate post, Barrett thanked the wider community for all of their support during the difficult time.

Barrett Gets Tattoo To Honor Daughter

According to TMZ, Barrett and his wife recently visited celebrity tattoo artist Tattoo Red to get pieces honoring Arrayah. For Barrett, that was a large forearm piece immortalizing an image from Arrayah’s last birthday. Barrett’s wife Jordanna got a smaller piece on her wrist. According to Red, Barrett’s piece took about 5 hours to complete. “Knowing what an emotional piece this was for the family made me feel honored,” Tattoo Red said. “I wanted to give them the best piece I could.”

It was also recently announced that the Barretts are expecting another child later this year. Reportedly another girl, they couple have chosen to name her Allanah. “Arrayah had a special hand in picking this sweet girl to add to our family!” Jordanna said on social media. “We miss our Arrayah every second of every day, but I rest in knowing she’s going to be the best big sister angel to little miss Allanah.”
