50 Cent Shows Support To Coi Leray After First Week Album Sales

If 50 Cent says, he got you, better believe it. The music and film mogul recently defended his Shady label boss Eminem after Jay-Z addressed the Real Slim Shady as “the white boy.” 50 responded by saying Jay-Z is trying to look like a “gay painter,” as Hov’s look is similar to the legendary late artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Now Curtis Jackson is defending another artist in the Hip-Hop community, his rival Benzino’s daughter Coi Leray. 50 and Benzino have been feuding for a while now, but that didn’t stop 50 from backing his daughter. Coi Leray has been the butt of a social media joke since arriving in the rap game. After she dropped her Trendsetter album, the anecdotes kept coming. She became even more of a victim of internet bullying when fans learned that she reportedly sold only 11 thousand copies in her first week.

50 Cent has heard enough of it and has stepped in. Not even mentioning Benzion’s name, 50 took it to social media to warn fans about the Coi Leray hate. Despite selling only 11k on her first week, 50 still thinks Coi Leray is a star and wants to bring her to a t.v near you.

“Now would be a good time to stop hating on @coi_leray,” he wrote. “I’m gonna make her show up on your Tv. STOP worrying about a first week WORK. GLG GreenLightGang #bransoncognac#lecheminduroi.”

Since taking over the cable television industry, 50 has been breeding stars or revitalizing careers. He made Big Meech’s son Lil Meech a star for his acting in BMF, and he even cast Jeremih in Power Book IV: Force.

Currently, 50 Cent is off television for six months, but he will return to STARZ for the upcoming season of BMF and the Power series.

50 Cent Defends Coi Leray Over Album Sales

50 Cent is coming to Coi Leray’s defense.

After being criticized for the underwhelming first-week sales of her album, the hip-hop mogul stepped in to call for an end to the hate.

“Now would be a good time to stop hating on @coileray,” 50 wrote alongside a photo of Coi on Instagram.

The “Power” producer also announced that he wants to put the 24-year-old rapper on one of his TV shows. “I’m gonna make her show up on your Tv,” he added. “STOP worrying about a first week WORK.”

Coi responded after seeing 50’s supportive post. “GLG !!!!! LETS GOOOOOOO,” she wrote, while her “Blick Blick” collaborator Nicki Minaj also commented, “King shit.”

Coi’s debut album Trendsetter, which features Lil Durk, G Herbo, and Polo G, debuted at No. 89 on the Billboard 200 with around 11,500 units. While she was clowned on social media, Coi remained positive.

“God has been the best father to me. I can’t complain about anything. My debut album is amazing and not one song can you say is bad,” she tweeted. “I understand Coi Leray is so viral & works good on blogs headlines but trust me,it’s all part of the game just ride out andstayfocus.”

50’s post about Coi did not sit well with her father Benzino, who called out his longtime rival for trying to “use my own kid against me.”

“Hey RATMAN aka 59 I appreciate u putting my Coi on but does she know you and STARS ain’t been seeing eye to eye lately,” he tweeted before claiming that 50 doesn’t own the “BMF” trademark. “Well I just got my hands on a federal lawsuit saying that the ‘BMF’ trademark isn’t yours & knew about it & never told Meech or STARS. Big mistake you dummy.”

He continued to slam 50 along with his own daughter, with whom he has an estranged relationship. “You crossed a line with my kid but that’s ok, she’ll have to live with the decision she made to go against her father to deal with the opps,” Benzino added. “Everyone who is a real person will recognize her disloyalty and it will be her downfall. Smh, people who sell their souls always regret it.”

Coi Leray Linking Up With B-Lovee for “Trendsetter Tour”

While many were laughing at the sales of her most recent album, Trendsetter, haters may want to buckle up for Coi Leray’s next move as she is gearing up to go on tour with Bronx drill rapper B-Lovee.

“OUT BREAK TRENDSETTER TOUR WE OUTSIDE !!!!” Leray posted on Twitter. “TRENDSETTERS LETS GO CRAZYYYYY !!!!”

The traveling trendsetter will be touring across 12 cities in the U.S., kicking off in San Fransisco and ending in Charlotte.

Although Coi Leray’s album only sold 11K units and didn’t land a top Billboard entry in its first week, the 19 track album was packed with many favorites in the music industry, such as Nicki Minaj, A Boogie, Polo G, NAV, H.E.R., G Herbo, Yung bleu, Young Ma, and Fivio Foreign.

In response to all of the negativity, Coi Leray tweeted, “My debut album is amazing and not one song can you say is bad. It been 5 days. I understand Coi Leray is so viral & works good on blogs headlines but trust me, it’s all part of the game just ride out andstayfocus.”
