JT Pays Tribute To Her Late Brother While Celebrating Her Birthday

JT opened up about an unimaginable personal loss, sharing a moving tribute to her younger brother, who recently passed away. On Thursday (Dec. 5), she took to social media to honor her brother’s memory. “Lost my little brother,” she wrote, sharing a poignant note about the challenges of being the eldest sibling. “Being the oldest, I really didn’t get a fair chance to grieve because I have to make sure he goes away nice and my mom is happy. I love you, JR.” She accompanied her words with a touching childhood photo of the two, their bright smiles a testament to their bond. In another post, JT expressed her hopes for his peace in the afterlife, writing, “I pray you’re somewhere so safe and comfortable.”

The details surrounding his death remain undisclosed, but the rap star’s heartfelt messages offered a glimpse into her grief and resilience. JT’s raw and emotional tribute serves as a reminder of her strength and authenticity, hallmarks of her artistry. As she grieves this profound loss, her fans and peers continue to offer support, celebrating the resilience she has shown throughout her career and personal life. JT’s vulnerable moment comes as she and Yung Miami, her partner in the City Girls, navigate separate careers.

JT Remembers Little Brother

This year, the duo announced a hiatus, allowing them to pursue individual projects. “We were just in two different spaces,” JT told Complex. “The rollout of the album was bad, and it didn’t perform well. That motivated me to focus on my solo music.” Yung Miami emphasized their enduring friendship, reflecting on how personal growth shaped their individual journeys. “I had to really get back in my bag. People had been talking crazy, and going through all that pushed me to get back in the studio.”

As JT enters a new chapter, it seems he has left past conflicts behind. GloRilla recently revealed that the two rivals are now “actually cool” after briefly feuding earlier this year. JT’s solo debut, City Cinderella, received positive reviews and charted higher than any City Girls album on the Billboard charts.

Asian Doll Reignites Her Beef With Yung Miami & JT Following “Caresha Please” Episode

After a turbulent series of events, Yung Miami is bringing back her award-winning podcast, Caresha Please. Before today, the most recent episode of her show aired back in October of last year. Sadly, the return is one of the shorter programs, clocking in at just 34 minutes and change. There’s obviously a lot to catch up on like her tumultuous relationship with Diddy and the official split of City Girls as a duo. Still, it’s creating quite a bit of discourse and back-and-forth debates online, which is an outcome that Miami could see happening. “I knew the interview would be 50/50 but I feel good telling my truth!”, she began on X. “I’m about to go outside and have a ball I deserve it see yall later :)”.

She certainly deserves to celebrate, though. Yung Miami’s sit-down with close friend and fellow rapper Saucy Santana has raked in over a million views in just 15 hours on YouTube, which is good enough for #1 on Trending. That can be partially attributed to the Asian Doll conversation and her reaction to being namedropped in the episode. While revealing why her and JT split, it’s clear that Miami is always going to have love for her former collaborator. So, when Asian Doll was calling out the City Cinderella MC for allegedly stealing her style after trashing it previously, Miami was willing to thrown down for her girl.

The Caresha Please host’s comments elicited a reaction out of Doll on X and in her response, she makes it clear she’s been ready to scrap. “He asked why you ain’t defend yo friend when she was arguing with cardi b stay on topic boo”, Asian Doll replied. “Cause you & Santana know how it give it up I done see yall TOO MANY TIMES & I always gave “ONNAT”. I’ll fight both of yall to this this day 😂😘”. Are these three about to catch each other outside?

What are your thoughts on Asian Doll wanting to fight Yung Miami and JT following the Caresha Please host’s namedrop? Could you see all three of them throwing down in the future? Could this potential brawl reunite the City Girls? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. JT Shared The Official Cover Art For Her Solo Debut Mixtape ‘City Cinderella,’ And Fans Have Chills

With “Dade County Dreaming,” Camila Cabello seemingly treated fans to the last time we’ll hear the City Girls on a track (for now). While, the culture shaping duo is officially done, former member JT is just getting starting.

In March, the “Okay” rapper hinted at her debut solo project, City Cinderella. Yesterday (July 2), JT officially unveiled the forthcoming body of work’s cover art and release date.

“City Cinderella coming….7/19 👑🧊✨,” she wrote. “My hands shaking posting this. Juvies we here…..🥹.”

Users online were frozen with shock over the creative direction of the cover. Many quickly praised JT for taking an artistic risk.

“This one of the best covers I’ve seen from a rap girl this year ngl,” wrote one user.

“BEST COVER ART OF THE YEAR. YES JT!! 😍💎,” echoed another.

“The cover? WE READY, WTF,” chimed another.

Others pointed about the direct references subtly hidden in the photograph—specifically the incorporation of high fashion house, Margiela’s highly sought after Spring 2009 Cinderella Glass Heels.

“JT aligning her fashion interests with her solo music pursuits/positioning is so intentional,” penned another.

Although the official tracklist hasn’t been rolled out, JT has dropped several tracks including “Okay,” “Sideways,” and “No Bars,” all of which fans hope will make the final cut.

City Cinderella is out on 7/19 via Quality Control. Find more information here.

JT Unveils The Cover & Release Date For Her Solo Debut “City Cinderella”

JT has taken some serious steps away from her time with Yung Miami and the City Girls over the last year or so. Now, the Miami, Florida native is taking a massive leap after making a huge announcement just moments ago. With the unapologetic femcee dropping singles under just her name it was only a matter of time before she decided to see what she could do solo. So far, her decision has been paying off and quite tremendously we might add. Because of this, JT is comfortable (sort of) revealing key details about her upcoming debut EP called City Cinderella.

She shared the bombshell on her social media while captioning the post, “City Cinderella coming….7/19 👑🧊✨ Pre-save link in bio. My hands shaking posting this. Juvies we here…..🥹”. Multiple fellow female artists were quick to show her support and love for this career move. Kali Uchis is excited for what is in store, saying, “She’s coming !!!!!”. R&B act Snoh Aalegra was also hyping JT up, “⏳ sheeeesh 🔥🔥🔥”.

According to Genius, it appears that “OKAY”, its two versions, including the Jeezy remix, “No Bars”, and “Sideways” will all land on the possible 10-song tracklist. As for the release date of City Cinderella, JT is dropping her EP on July 19 and it will compete with some pretty heavy hitters like Childish Gambino and Denzel Curry. The cover art is also now available to us, as it shows the “Alter Ego” artist looking stunning, with the lower half of her body being made of glass and some it shattered off. She also is donning a tiara, which is fitting for the title of the project. Congratulations to JT on the announcement and we cannot wait to check it out.

What are your thoughts on JT announcing her debut EP City Cinderella? Do you think she should have gone solo even sooner than this, why or why not? Do you think she will become more successful after branching out to work on her own material? What single have you been bumping the most so far? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding JT. City Girls Confirm Hiatus as Yung Miami and JT Pursue Solo Projects

City Girls Unveil Cover Art for Upcoming Album 'RAW'

In April, fans of the rap duo City Girls were left in suspense after a public spat between Yung Miami and JT hinted at potential trouble. On Monday (June 3), Yung Miami confirmed the rumors: City Girls are taking a break from their group efforts.

During an interview with Complex, Miami detailed what led her to pursue a solo project. “I think when the City Girls album [RAW] just dropped, and it didn’t do too well, and we were just trying to do our press run. The whole rollout of the album was just so bad because we were in two different spaces,” she explained.

The album, despite featuring high-profile collaborations with artists like Usher, Lil Durk, Juicy J, Kim Petras, and Muni Long, only sold 10,000 copies. Tracks such as “Good Love,” “No Bars,” and “Work For It” were included in the 18-song collection but failed to make a significant impact.

Miami elaborated on the duo’s evolving dynamics: “We’re older now, and she was doing her own thing. She’s on the West Coast; I’m in Miami. I’m doing my own thing. And I felt like naturally, when she was doing her own thing, it just worked for her. And when I’m doing my own thing, it worked for me. But when we get together as a group, it just wasn’t connecting.”

Reflecting on their decision, Miami said, “It just wasn’t working no more. So, I think we both were at a point where we were just like, ‘We probably should just do our own s**t.’”

Earlier this year, Yung Miami released her first solo single in nearly three years, “50/50,” where she addressed her critics, including DJ Akademiks. In April, she followed up with “CFWM,” featuring Detroit’s Skilla Baby.

Meanwhile, JT has also been busy with her solo career, dropping tracks like “Sideways” and “OKAY” in anticipation of her debut EP, City Cinderella.

This hiatus marks a shift for City Girls, who have been a dominant force for women in the hip hop scene. While fans may be saddened by the pause in their joint efforts, the promise of fresh solo projects from both Yung Miami and JT offers an exciting new chapter for the artists and their followers.

Yung Miami Celebrates Her Son’s 5th Grade Prom

Yung Miami isn’t shy about being one of the proudest parents in rap. Even though the competition for that can be pretty stiff she makes a pretty good case for herself by celebrating her kids online regularly. The most recent example came from her son, who is in fifth grade. He’s already on his way to a school dance and Miami went full parent mode celebrating. She took to Instagram to share a photoshoot of her son and his date hilariously posing in a car they’re far to young to drive.

In the comments, fans have a variety of reactions to the post. Some find it totally adorable that Miami is so proud of her son. But others are trying to point out issues they have with the arrangement. “Lil Momma gotta a full face and a wig on? 😮In the 5th grade I could barely wear vaseline on my lips” one comment says in reference to the girl accompanying Miami’s son. “The only prom I got in 5th grade was PROMotion to the 6th grade 😩😭😭😭😭” another fan jokes about how young the pair are. Check out the adorable photo shoot and some of the fan reactions to it below.

Yung Miami Is The Proudest Parent

For much of 2024 Yung Miami has been dealing with fallout from her association with Diddy. She recently unfollowed him on Instagram after the leaking of a video that reportedly showed him assaulting Cassie on hotel security footage. Nearly every time Diddy found himself in trouble this year, Miami ended up trending on social media. Some fans pointed out that many online seemed more mad at Miami then they were at Diddy himself.

What do you think of Yung Miami setting up an adorably photo shoot for her son’s 5th grade prom? Do you agree with some fans in the comments that 5th grade is too young to be going to something like a prom? Let us know in the comment section below.

Yung Miami Called Out By Fans For Support Of Sukihana’s JT Diss

It’s been nothing but turbulence dating back to last year for the City Girls. They dropped their new album RAW back in October. The album sports an impressive feature list with Lil Durk, Muni Long, Juicy J, Usher, and Kim Petras all made contributions. Despite that, the album underperformed commercially and today only “No Bars” and “Good Love” sit with more than 10 million streams on Spotify. The albums like of commercial success led to questions about the future of the City Girls as a duo and turbulence between JT and Yung Miami since hasn’t helped.

The alleged rumors of hard feelings between the two came to a head earlier this year when they had a brief spat online. Though they made up with each other pretty quickly fans still can’t help but suspect things might not be perfect. The newest example of why is a comment Yung Miami left on a Sukihana song that contained disses aimed at her City Girls contemporary. Fans of the duo and of JT herself didn’t take that too kindly. That led to a series of interactions on Twitter between Miami and fans commenting on her seemingly endorsing a JT diss track. Check out what she had to say to some people online below.

Yung Miami Argues With Fans Over Sukihana’s JT Diss

After asking an upset fan on Twitter if they “had a problem” another fan explained the issue. She called out Miami for the “character” that she puts on while getting in social media drama. She accuses Miami of knowing exactly why people get mad at her and plays into it. With the rapper’s response all she could say was that she talked to JT and things were fine.

What do you think of Yung Miami’s interactions with fans online after commenting on a Sukihana song that takes shots at JT? Do you believe her when she says she’s talked to her fellow City Girl and cleared things up? Let us know in the comment section below.

JT Calls Out Even More Rappers On Extended Version Of “Okay”

JT had more to say. The City Girls rapper caused quite a stir when she dropped her single “Okay.” The lyrics saw her take aim at a very specific peer, but she didn’t name names, so fans were unsure of who she meant. The target was whittled down to either Cardi B or Sukihana. The former didn’t bother saying anything, and the latter addressed the situation over social media. JT didn’t like that. She took Sukihana to task for not asking her in private, and proceeded to insult her several times via X (formerly Twitter).

Now, JT has an extended version of “Okay.” The rapper felt like she didn’t quite nail the aggressiveness of the original, so she added additional bars. To nobody’s surprise, they are mean-spirited. The City Girls rapper doesn’t include names again, but they once again register as pointed. “Ain’t no way I’m ever layin’ down for you stank h*es,” she raps on the new version. “Tell these b*tches why you really mad. Cuse you said I couldn’t do it, look at my black a*s.” It’s obvious that all the speculation and fan attention only gave JT more incentive to up the ante, and that’s exactly what she does here.

JT Calls Out 3 Specific Rappers Out Of “Boredom”

“Y’all h*es know you can’t f*ck with me,” JT adds. “That’s why y’all in a huddle trying to see how y’all can f*ck with me.” The rapper then clarifies that she has lots of time to go to war with whoever wants to heed the call. She went as far as to describe herself as bored, and ready for the smoke. “I clapped back in the air cuse a b*tch bored,” she asserted. The hardest-hitting line, though, is towards the end of the verse, when JT decides to be specific and vague at the same time.

She calls out three specific targets without mentioning names, but it seems like these targets know who they are. And they don’t intimidate JT for a second. “To be clear h*e, this for you, you and you (p**sy),” she tauntingly raps. “You ain’t a threat or a f*cking goon. City Cinderella coming soon.” City Cinderella is the name of JT’s upcoming solo album, and frankly, she’s doing a great job of drumming up attention. It is the year of the rap beef, so what better way to get eyes on your project?

JT Shuts Down Sukihana Diss Rumors By Savagely Dissing Her

Rappers really hate other rappers in 2024. JT already had beef with her City Girls partner Yung Miami this year, which spurred her to drop more solo material. She dropped the single “Okay,” but the lyrics sparked even more controversy because fans thought she was talking about someone in particular. Sukihana and Cardi B were the rumored targets, and the former hopped on Instagram to clear a few things up. Sukihana claimed that she and JT were on good terms. She did, however, ask JT to clarify who’s really in her crosshairs.

The rapper got what she asked for. JT took to X (formerly Twitter) on May 3 to clear the air between her and Sukihana. She stated that the “Okay” lyrics were not aimed at Sukihana, but then proceeded to bash her mercilessly throughout the explanation. It’s fascinating to read. “Sukihana You KNEW I wasn’t talking about YOU I would’ve answered quicker if you didn’t try to do a 2 for 1 special,” JT wrote. “I never knew your tooth fell out from eating crab legs you go viral for stupid sh*t Daily.”

JT Went On An Insult-Filled Rant Against Sukihana

JT took umbrage with the fact that Sukihana posted about the alleged diss on Instagram instead of asking her privately. “You kept writing me back to back you could’ve DM’d me but you was trying to distract me,” she tweeted. “AND use me to run your sh*t up so you can run a special for page promo sucka a*s h*e.” It seemed as though JT’s temper raised with each post. The third tweet aimed at the “Hood Rats” rapper was even uglier.

JT claimed that Sukihana attended her birthday party without permission, and tried to benefit from music that’s not connected to her. “You definitely was at my party UNINVITED always wanna be seen & heard ass bitch,” she wrote. “Search my page I been supporting you never had a issue with you so why would I enter a booth & think of YOU? sewer p**sy???!” The last insult is far and away the most devastating. It’s the last thing fans expected, especially given that the two rappers were seemingly on good terms.

The ironic part of the whole encounter is that Sukihana brought about her own feud. When she posted about “Okay” on Instagram, she ruled herself out from being a target because she had no reason to beef with JT. “I don’t take her as a girl that just start trouble with random people when she droppin’ a song,” she said. Evidently, speculating about JT on IG was enough to start trouble. There wasn’t beef before, but there certainly is now.
