Cardi B Proudly Struts Across Massive New Kitchen Island While Singing Lady Gaga

Cardi B has expensive taste, there’s no denying that. This is exactly why the mother of two works so hard to stay booked and busy. From lending her talents to Beats by Dre ads to performing at New York’s Hot 97 Summer Jam festival this past weekend, there’s not much the “WAP” rapper isn’t willing to do if a bag is involved. After hitting the stage last Sunday, Cardi has made it clear that she’s more excited than ever about her upcoming album. It will be her first since 2017’s Invasion of Privacy.

Aside from preparing to give the Bardi gang more details on that, the Hustlers actress has also been pouring plenty of energy into celebrating the progress being made on her house. On Saturday (June 10), she took to Twitter to show off her luxurious kitchen. It boasts one of the largest counters we’ve ever seen in a unique black-and-white pattern. “My kitchen island is sooooo big!!!” the fashionista wrote along with a video shared to her account this afternoon.

Cardi B Shows Off Her Gorgeous Home

“I can’t wait ’til it’s completely finished 🖤,” Cardi added. In the accompanying clip, she happily struts across the stone countertop. At the same time, she sings Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” while breaking out some dramatic dance moves. A man can be heard snickering – presumably Offset – from behind the camera over the 30-year-old’s antics. In the replies, many users are marvelling over the sheer size of the island. “Bigger than my mattress, gahdamn,” one of them wrote. “How do you even reach things in the middle?” another person pondered.

Elsewhere in the news, Cardi B was recently ordered to halt her efforts to collect the $3M+ still owed to her by Tasha K. The YouTuber was recently forced to file for bankruptcy, meaning it’ll likely be a lengthy amount of time before the Grammy Award winner sees her money in full. Read more about that at the link below, and tap back in later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Cardi B And Offset’s Son Wave Is A “Bad Boy” In New Instagram Post

Cardi B seems to have found fresh inspiration to release new music following her experience at Summer Jam. It has been over five years since her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, won a Grammy and became available on streaming platforms. Since then, her fans have eagerly awaited her second album. While she has released a few singles in recent years, she hasn’t unveiled a significant amount of new music. Notable hits like “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and “Up” have been exceptions, but overall, it has been relatively quiet. Instead, Cardi B has been featured on tracks by other artists.

Most recently, Cardi B collaborated with Latto on a song titled “Put It On The Floor Again.” They performed the track during Cardi’s headline set at Summer Jam 2023. Although she didn’t premiere any new music at the event, her return to the Tri-State Area seems to have reignited her motivation to release fresh tracks. Cardi delivered an impressive performance, with guest appearances by 21 Savage, Dougie B, and GloRilla. Now, it appears that she is ready to return to the recording studio and work on new music. In the meantime, Cardi posts plenty of content on her socials for fans to interact with.

Cardi’s Son Wave Plays With Cash, Not Toys

Cardi B and Offset’s son is a “bad boy.” Offset recently shared a video featuring their son, Wave. In the video, he seems to already living a lavish lifestyle. The clip shows the toddler is wearing diamond earrings and playing with toys. The toys in question, however, are actually bundles of cash. Offset captioned the video with “Bad Boy Wave.” In another photo within the slide, numerous $100 bills are scattered on the floor. Wave looks on with curiosity, clearly not certain what they are. Towards the end of the video, he appears tired and amusingly prepares for bath time.

Cardi B and Offset welcomed Wave into the world in 2021. He was their second child together, following the birth of their daughter Kulture in 2018. Offset has frequently expressed his desire to provide his children with a luxurious upbringing. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in September, he explained, “At the end of the day, we went through life and we didn’t have the opportunities… So I’m just lending it to my kids. Just letting them see they can have another life too, you know? We work hard to do that.” What do you think of Cardi and Offset’s philosophy on raising kids? Let us know in the comments!

Offset And Cardi B Let Their ‘Bad Boy’ Son, Wave, Play With A Bunch Of $100 Bills In A New Post

Cardi B and Offset’s son, Wave, is already set for life — as the rapper’s husband showed him off in a new video. The toddler was complete with diamond earrings and had some fun toys, aka lots of cash, to hold and play around with.

“Bad Boy Wave,” Offset captioned.

On another photo in the slide, a ton of $100 bills are scattered around the floor as Wave looks around at them. By the end, he was tired and hilariously getting ready for bath time.

The two musicians had Wave back in 2021 as their second child together, a few years after the birth of their daughter, Kulture Kiari, in 2018.

Offset has also spoken often about treating their kids to the finer things in life. “At the end of the day, we went through life and we didn’t have the opportunities,” he shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last September. “I bet if my mama had the chance, she would have went all out and did what she wanted to do for me.”

“So I’m just lending it to my kids. Just letting them see they can have another life too, you know? We work hard to do that,” he added.

Apparently Cardi B has found a renewed sense of inspiration to release new music after her experience at Summer Jam. It has been more than five years since her Grammy-winning debut album, Invasion Of Privacy, was released on digital streaming platforms. Since then, the rapper’s fans have been eagerly anticipating her sophomore album. While she has released a handful of singles in the past few years, she hasn’t unveiled a significant amount of new music recently. Fans did get hits like “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and “Up,” but it’s been pretty quiet otherwise. Instead, she has made several guest appearances on other artists’ tracks.

Most recently, Cardi B collaborated with Latto on a song called “Put It On The Floor Again.” The pair performed the track during Cardi’s headline set at Summer Jam 2023. However, it appears that her return to the Tri-State Area has sparked her motivation to release new music. Cardi delivered an impressive performance that featured guest appearances from 21 Savage, Dougie B, and GloRilla. Unfortunately, she didn’t debut any new music at the event, but it seems like she is now ready to get back into the recording studio.

Cardi Leaves Fans Wanting More

While it may not have anything to do with new music, Cardi left fans salivating with her new set of Instagram photos. In the new post, the Bronx-hailing rapper looks ready for summer weather in a white one-piece swimsuit. Her hair was light blonde, emblazoned with multi-colored crosses. On the post, she wrote the caption, ” LET ME POP IT OFF!” Seems like someone is ready to get the summer started. Many fans are hopeful that Cardi’s summer plans may include a new song.

On a post about her Summer Jam performance, Cardi spoke about wanting to work on new music. “I haven’t released music in a long time but this definitely motivated me to get back outside,” she wrote. “Thank you to all artists who came out during my set and all of the other amazing artists on the line up… WE DID THAT!! Don’t pay attention to the negativity, when the hate don’t work they start telling lies. I’m on a high right now.” What do you think of Cardi B’s new post? Cardi B Reacts To Smoky New York Air Conditions

Cardi B and other New York-based artists have been taking to social media to talk about the insanely hazardous wildfire smoke that took over the city yesterday. Over the past week, people online have been amazed and concerned by photos of the New York City skyline. It has been covered in a hazy orange smoke, which we know was caused by wildfires in Canada. The air quality has become extremely murky and unsafe to breathe. Yesterday was reportedly the most hazardous air quality since the beginning of recorded air quality. Not only that, the look of the city was post-apocalyptic. The surreal scene has drawn comparisons to the visual style of movies like Blade Runner and Dune. Some online posts have even made whimsical connections to the recent trend of Wes Anderson memes.

Cardi B, known for her bold statements on Twitter, made an interesting comparison to the strange sky. “I kid you not the sky is literally yellow today…” she tweeted. “It’s giving smoking on opps.” There was some interesting reactions in the replies to the tweet. Some simply had no idea what she was talking about. “Brah what.. wtf that even mean,” one user tweeted. Another accused her of copying Nicki Minaj by using the word “opps.” The Barb wrote, “U wasn’t saying opps until dwhap dropped im loving that u still a fan of though still stabbing the queen in secret I see.”

Cardi B Wasn’t The Only Rapper Who Was Shocked By The Smoke

Cardi B was just one of many of the hilarious reactions posted to the smoke. Yesterday, Jim Jones posted a hilarious video in response to the situation. 50 Cent, known for his trolling antics, humorously commented on Instagram about the situation. He said he was heading to the store while sharing a still from Blade Runner 2049. Furthermore, Questlove of The Roots found humor in the situation outside his window. He shared a hilarious photo of a billboard with “welcome to hell” written on it and appreciating the clever marketing. However, he also urged his followers to take climate change seriously in a separate post.

As of now, the poor air conditions have not led to the cancellation of many events in New York. Governor’s Ball is scheduled to proceed as planned this weekend. However, some Broadway performers have experienced difficulty breathing, leading to show interruptions due to the smoke. This raises the possibility of performances being affected at the festival as well. While Cardi and others have joked about the situation, it is actually something that should not be taken lightly. With any luck, the air will clear up for New Yorkers soon. What do you think of the situation? Be sure to sound off in the comments below!

Cardi B Had A Truly Wild Comparison For The Smoky Air Conditions In New York City This Week

For the past week, social media users have been marveling — and fretting — over photos of the New York City skyline as a haze of smoke from Canadian wildfires has rendered the air quality a murky shade of orange (and not very safe to breathe). The tableau has been compared to the aesthetic of films like Blade Runner and Dune, with one post I saw today drawing an unhinged parallel to the Wes Anderson memes that have been going around online lately.

Not to be outdone, Twitter’s reigning queen of audacious statements, Cardi B, made a truly wild comparison for the eerie scene in the NY sky. “I kid you not the sky is literally yellow today,” the “Tomorrow 2” rapper wrote. “It’s giving smoking on opps.”

Meanwhile, other New York artists have also commented on the situation in their own ways. 50 Cent, internet troll extraordinaire, cracked “I’m headed to the store, if anybody need anything just call me,” on Instagram next to a still from Blade Runner 2049 from the scene where Ryan Gosling’s K enters the irradiated ruins of Las Vegas.

Questlove of The Roots, however, found humor in the world right outside his window. He posted a photo of a Diabo IV billboard reading “welcome to hell” and noted the “divine timing,” calling it “genius marketing.” In a separate post, though, he begged his followers to start taking climate change seriously.

So far, the poor conditions haven’t prompted New York-based events to shut down yet; Governor’s Ball is set to proceed as scheduled this weekend. However, some performers on Broadway reported difficulty breathing, halting shows due to the smoke, so it’s possible that performances could be affected at the festival as well.

Hot 97’s Summer Jam was on fire Sunday night. Taking Over USB Arena, the show was stacked with Ice Spice, Coi Leray, GloRilla, Lol Brooke, French Montana, Fivio Foreign, and Lil Tjay. But the night belonged to Cardi B, who headlined and also brought out Latto for a special appearance so the two could perform their new banger “Put It On Da Floor Again.”

Last week, Latto returned with another banger tagging with Cardi B for “Put It On Da Floor Again.” The new release, arriving courtesy of RCA Records, arrives with a new video taking the two rap queens across Atlanta and running into surprise cameos from Offset, BabyGrill, and LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese.

The original version of this “Put It On Da Floor” remix, created by Go Grizzly, Squat & Pooh Beatz, and others, was first performed at Coachella Weekend 1 this year and has since received over 15 million streams across all platforms and playlists including RapCaviar, Rap Life, New Music Daily, and others.

You can see the new video below.

11 Rap Songs That Are RIAA Certified Diamond

The Recording Industry Association of America awards artists various certifications for their singles and albums sold. Overall, the highest of these certifications is Diamond, awarded for sales of 10 million units and above. Many rap songs have achieved this feat, with some artists having multiple Diamond-certified songs and albums. Here are 11 rap songs that have been certified Diamond by the RIAA.

11. Travis Scott ft. Drake – “Sicko Mode” (2018)

Travis Scott may have numerous acclaimed songs in his repertoire, but “Sicko Mode” is arguably his signature single. In 2020, the rap song was certified Diamond for over 10 million units of sales. Because of its success, “Sicko Mode” is often heralded as the highlight of his third album, Astroworld. It was also Scott’s first song to top the Billboard Hot 100.

10. Drake – “God’s Plan” (2018)

Drake is one of the most commercially successful artists in music history, and this feat extends to his certifications. As a lead artist, Drake has three Diamond-certified songs across the genres rap, afrobeats, and R&B. His 2018 single “God’s Plan” was certified 15x Platinum in 2022 and is one of the most successful singles. It also debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 and broke numerous streaming records. Additionally, the music video was praised for showing the artist’s generosity to fans and institutions in Florida. “God’s Plan” won the Grammy for Best Rap Song. His other singles to also achieve Diamond status are “One Dance” featuring Kyla and Wizkid, and “Hotline Bling.”

9. Lil Wayne ft. Static Major – “Lollipop” (2008)

“Lollipop” was released in 2008 and remains one of Lil Wayne’s most radio-friendly singles. The Diamond-certified rap song featured Static Major and was released two weeks after his death. “Lollipop” was notable for featuring heavy use of auto-tune and its several suggestive lyrics. The single hit the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and was one of the biggest songs of the 2000s decade. “Lollipop” won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song in 2009. It was certified 10x platinum in 2022.

8. Eminem – “Lose Yourself” (2002)

Eminem is no stranger to achieving Diamond status. He holds the record for the rapper with the most Diamond albums in history. Adding to that, he has three Diamond-certified rap songs to his name. The most iconic of the trio however, is the Oscar winning “Lose Yourself” from the film 8 Mile. “Lose Yourself” was acclaimed upon its release, and the song’s most recent certification in 2022 is a testament to its longevity. “Lose Yourself” is also officially certified 13x Platinum. His other two songs to additionally achieve this feat, are “Not Afraid” and “Love the Way You Lie”, the latter featuring Rihanna. Unsurprisingly, both songs are featured on his impressive seventh studio album, Recovery

7. Cardi B – “Bodak Yellow” (2017)

Cardi B’s rise to fame remains one for the books. After becoming a Vine star and a growing fan base from her time on Love & Hip Hop: New York, Cardi B struck gold. Her debut album Invasion of Privacy received critical acclaim and housed two Diamond-certified rap songs. Specifically, her official major label debut was “Bodak Yellow,” which turned Cardi B into a household name straightaway. The aggressive single became a significant turning point in Cardi B’s career. As of 2022, the song has been certified 11x Platinum.

6. Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth – “See You Again” (2015)

“See You Again” by Wizk Khalifa and Charlie Puth quickly rose to the top of the charts following its release. The rap song was certified Diamond in 2019, four years after its release. “See You Again” was a part of the soundtrack for Furious 7 and was a tribute to Paul Walker. Walker was most known for his role in the Fast & Furious franchise. “See You Again” is also second to Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” for the rap songs that have spent the most weeks at the peak position on the Billboard Hot 100.

5. Post Malone – “Congratulations” (2017)

Post Malone holds the record for the artist with the most Diamond-certified songs in RIAA history. The rapper has a whopping eight singles that have achieved this feat. One of these singles, and one of his most popular, is “Congratulations,” which features Quavo. “Congratulations” was released in 2017 as a single off his debut album Stoney. All in all, Post Malone’s seven other songs to achieve this feat are: “I Fall Apart,” “Better Now,” “Circles,” “Psycho,” “White Iversion,” “Rockstar,” and “Sunflower.”

4. Fetty Wap – “Trap Queen” (2014)

In late 2014, Fetty Wap rose to prominence with his official debut single “Trap Queen.” The song earned the rapper his highest charting single on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at the penultimate spot. Fetty Wap achieved Diamond status in 2019 when it was officially certified 10x Platinum. Moreover, the sleeper hit also secured the rapper with a record deal at 300 Entertainment.

3. Nicki Minaj – “Super Bass” (2011)

Nicki Minaj’s widely popular single “Super Bass” achieved Diamond status in 2021 after being certified 10x platinum. “Super Bass,” like other singles off her debut album Pink Friday, successfully merged Hip Hop and pop rap. The music video also further reiterated Minaj’s Barbie-esque style, featuring numerous pink props. It won the award for Best Hip Hop Video at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

2. Lil Nas X – “Old Town Road” (2019)

Lil Nas X has achieved numerous record-breaking feats with his debut single, “Old Town Road.” It is also the fastest song in history to be certified Diamond. The country-rap single, which featured Billy Ray Cyrus, also combined two genres that have previously failed to achieve mainstream attention as a unit. In addition to these, “Old Town Road” is also the longest-running song atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart, rap or otherwise. The single remained at the No. 1 spot for 19 consecutive weeks. With 17 million units sold, it is the second-most certified single.

1. “Stronger” (2007)

“Stronger” by Kanye West was certified Diamond in 2021 for 10 million units sold. The single, which was notoriously mixed to perfection over 70 times, blended electronic and rap music. An iconic staple in Kanye West’s incredible discography, “Stronger” featured a sample from Daft Punk’s “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.” After the song’s commercial success, Daft Punk achieved mainstream fame in the United States. Furthermore, the high-octane song is a techno club favorite and is credited for revitalizing disco-infused music in the 2000s.

Fans Are Convinced Cardi B Dissed Ice Spice At Hot 97 Summer Jam But Cardi Thinks They’re Being ‘Messy’

Here we go again. Cardi B has spoken before about how much she dislikes being pitted against “every new female rapper” but that won’t stop fans from looking for signs of friction every chance they get. The latest opportunity came with Cardi’s set at Hot 97 Summer Jam this weekend, where one of Cardi’s background graphics caught fans’ attention and has them thinking that Cardi’s latest target is “Boy’s A Liar” rapper Ice Spice.

During Cardi’s set, she set up her performance of “Tomorrow 2” with a clip from Annie while an illustrated caricature of the red-headed orphan appeared on the screen behind her. Fans seeing this image online decided that this was somehow a reference to Ice Spice because the rapper’s look — which usually consists of bright orange curls styled into an afro — has become so iconic in such a short amount of time. This led to an avalanche of tweets accusing Cardi of spoofing Ice Spice’s look — although, inarguably, Annie did it first.

Of course, it should be noted that the fans driving this particular narrative seemingly all come from a specific fan base (rhymes with “carbs”), while others — including, apparently, the person who created the graphic in the first place, called it out as ridiculous. A video of Cardi defending Ice Spice recently also surfaced as evidence she wouldn’t feel the need to shade the new rap it-girl, even though she recently collaborated with Cardi’s ostensible rival.

Incidentally, Cardi’s verse on “Tomorrow 2” contains a nod to Ice Spice’s breakout hit “Munch,” which Cardi also considered remixing, although she decided later not to put the song out. But Cardi herself went on Instagram Live shortly after her performance to lay the speculation to rest. “Cut the bullsh*t, please,” she said. “Get the mop. Y’all being too messy and y’all being annoying.”
