Because of the star’s long history in entertainment there are dozens if not hundreds of celebs who could have been roped in. One person who was reportedly worried about the memoir before its release was Justin Timberlake. As it turns out, TImberlake had plenty of reasons to be worried.

Before the memoir even made it onto shelves concerning details involving Timberlake were emerging. The biggest bombshell came when it was revealed that Timberlake got Spears pregnant while they were dating. In the book, Britney describes the excruciating experience she went through to terminate the pregnancy. Later on, she opens up on how Timberlake eventually broke up with her by text. The newest details emerging from the project about Timberlake revolve around how he interacted with Ginuwine. Spears begins talking about NSYNC. “They were white boys but they loved Hip Hop. To me, that’s what separated them from the Backstreet Boys, who seemed very consciously to position themselves as a white group. NSYNC hung out with Black artists,” Spears claims. But she had a specific story to share that could be a bit embarrassing for Timberlake.

“One day, J and I were in New York going to parts of town I’d never been to before. Walking our way was a guy with a huge blinged-out medallion. He was flanked by two giant security guards. Moreover, it seems like she wanted to take a small break from social media amid excerpt reports from the book and bombshell drama. However, it seems like that didn’t last long at all, because the singer reinstated her Instagram account within 24 hours of deleting it. Shortly before deleting it and its subsequent return, though, she shared a couple of thoughts on the headline she’s seeing about her book and how she feels people are unfairly perceiving her right now.

“I don’t like the headlines I am reading,” Britney Spears expressed on her IG via black text on a white backdrop. “My book’s purpose was not to offend anyone by any means. That was me then. That is in the past. Most of the book is from 20 years ago I have moved on and it’s a beautiful clean slate from here!!! I am here to establish it that way for the rest of my entire life!!! Either way, that is the last of it and s**t happens!!!”

In fact, one of the reflections in The Woman In Me, albeit a brief one, apparently addresses why the Mississippi native likes to take lewd photos and post them online. This is according to alleged excerpts obtained by The New York Times, which means that this is a pretty good indication that this will make the final cut. “I know that a lot of people don’t understand why I love taking pictures of myself naked or in new dresses,” Britney Spears shared. “But I think if they’d been photographed by other people thousands of times, prodded and posed for other people’s approval, they’d understand that I get a lot of joy from posing the way I feel sexy and taking my own picture.”

Meanwhile, other parts of the book touch on her Justin Timberlake relationship and breakup, which have been a big source of conversation these past few days. At this point, we all know what a rebound relationship is, but when it happens between two high-profile people, things start to get a little complex. Let’s travel back 20 years to the premiere of The Recruit, an Al Pacino film that also starred a young Colin Farrell, years before he befriended Jenny the Donkey.

At the time, Farrell made headlines for showing up to the premiere with pop star Britney Spears, who was still reeling from her publicized breakup with troll Justin Timberlake. While Farrell said they were “just mates” (so Irish!), Spears hadn’t spoken out about the relationship… until now.

Spears called their two-week fling a “brawl” in a new excerpt from her memoir, per TIME. She wrote, “Brawl is the only word for it—we were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight,” Spears and Timberlake had just broken up and the singer was still dealing with her post-breakup life. She continued, “As I had before when I’d felt too attached to a man, I tried to convince myself in every way that it was not a big deal, that we were just having fun, that in this case, I was vulnerable because I wasn’t over Justin yet.”

Though Farrell and Spears didn’t date for too long, there was a moment when the singer thought it could have been the real thing. She added, “For a brief moment in time, I did think there could be something there. The disappointments in my romantic life were just one part of how isolated I became. I felt so awkward all the time.” The duo seemed to have fizzled out after that. And now Farrell is off being a Batman villain lurking in the shadows. It’s funny how things work out.

Britney Spears’ upcoming memoir The Woman In Me, releasing October 24, will reveal a lot of personal reflections and anecdotes from the pop star’s turbulent, often scrutinized, but frankly misunderstood life. Moreover, Page Six reportedly obtained an excerpt from it which allegedly details her drug of choice during her 2000s party days. The media compared the music diva’s public persona during this time to other party icons of the time like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. However, she maintains that things were never as extreme as the press made them out to be. As for her preferred substance on a night out, the Mississippi native confessed that it was the ADHD medication Adderall.

“It was never as wild as the press made it out to be,” Britney Spears reportedly wrote in her new book, according to The New York Times. While she says she “never had a drinking problem” and didn’t partake in hard drugs, she expressed that Adderall was the one to break that rule. “[It] made me high, yes, but what I found far more appealing was that it gave me a few hours of feeling less depressed,” the “Toxic” singer remarked. This confession is particularly interesting because, last year, she claimed that her mother physically attacked her for being out too late with Lohan and Hilton.

“The first time I ever got slapped was the one night Paris and Lindsay dropped me off at my beach house with my babies,” Britney Spears wrote. She deleted the October 2022 Instagram post shortly after. “My mother was watching [my sons] Jayden and Preston. Yes I partied till like 4am. My mother [got] PISSED !!!! I walked in, she looked at me and hit me so hard that I will never forget it !!!” While Lynne Spears didn’t address this accusation, she issued a public apology a few days before it for the “pain” she caused her daughter during her 13-year conservatorship.

Elsewhere in the memoir, the 41-year-old also commented on her breakup with Justin Timberlake. As if that wasn’t enough, we have another one of those to unpack, this time from Page Six. According to sources that spoke to the outlet, her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake is “concerned” about what this book will include.

“He’s very curious what she’ll reveal from their relationship,” one source reportedly alleged to Page Six. “It’s eating at him.” While this sounds very dramatic, it’s because many expect The Woman In Me to not paint a flattering image of people in her life. After all, Britney Spears has been through a lot of hardship, personal battles, feuds with close family, friends, or partners in her life, and so on. In fact, a recent Us Weekly report claimed that the memoir goes “hard” at Justin Timberlake.

According to Page Six, a publishing insider maintained that The Woman In Me is “not a takedown” of any particular individual, or meant to take down anyone. “This is Britney finally getting a chance to tell her empowering story, and it’s nothing more than that,” they alleged to the publication. Given Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s relationship history, though, one could understand why the latter would be a bit on edge. They broke up in quite the high-profile way after three years of dating, which was back in 2002.

They made songs about each other, refused to go into detail about why they split, but also made sneaky comments about both of them being wrong. Moreover, she, J Balvin, and Maluma hit up Zero Bond for a sushi meal, and Page Six reported that the two reggaetón artists actually invited her over to their table after they saw her. Still, it’s a wild connection, as the pop star has never before been linked to them, who are good friends. However it came about, it’s at least heartening to see her spending time with some friendly faces and having fun. After all, the press run as of late hasn’t been too forgiving or anything less than chaotic when it comes to the Mississippi native.

Interestingly enough, though, it’s possible that she’s in The Big Apple to combat that very narrative. Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman In Me, comes out on October 24, and she might be in the area to do a small press run or engage in promotional activities. Whether it’s for her sometimes worrisome dancing clips, her divorce from Sam Asghari, or more, the media scrutinized her quite heavily over the past few months, if not years. Hopefully with this memoir and some more public statements (if she so chooses), the 41-year-old can find at least a bit of closure.

Still, all of this doesn’t seem to have slowed down her desire to keep coming out with new music, as she dropped a single with will.i.am earlier in 2023. In fact, maybe Britney Spears has more of that to come, or at least, that’s what she’s gunning for with a recent dance video. To the tune of Beyoncé’s “Daddy Lessons,” she called out people remixing her own songs and using this one as an example of her taking revenge. Not only that, but the “Toxic” star even asked Queen Bey’s husband for a feature.
