“Don’t Worry Darling” Crew Slams Reports Of On-Set Drama Between Olivia Wilde & Florence Pugh

Forty members of the Don’t Worry Darling crew and production team have shared a statement addressing reports of on-set tension between star Florence Pugh and director Olivia Wilde, labeling them “absurd.” Vulture had reported that the two got into a “screaming match” on the film’s set.

“As a crew, we’ve avoided addressing the absurd gossip surrounding the movie we’re so proud of, but feel the need to correct the anonymous ‘sources’ quoted in a recent article,” the statement begins. “Any allegations about unprofessional behavior on the set of Don’t Worry Darling are completely false.”

The statement goes on to call Wilde “an incredible leader and director” and states that the “screaming match” never took place.

They continue: “We are happy to put our names on this, as real people who worked on the film, and who have witnessed and benefited from the collaborative and safe space Olivia creates as a director and leader. We’re also thrilled that the movie is in theaters this weekend. We can’t wait for you to see it on the big screen.”

Vulture’s original report claimed that a “blowout argument” took place between Wilde and Pugh in January 2021. Pugh was apparently upset with Wilde’s “frequent, unexplained absences,” and that she and Harry Styles, who are dating, “would just disappear.”

Despite the behind-the-scenes dramaDon’t Worry Darling made its box office debut over the weekend, claiming the top spot and bringing in $30 million globally. The film also stars Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll, Wilde, Sydney Chandler, and Timothy Simons.

Dwight Howard Says He’s Serious About Joining WWE: “No Doubt”

Dwight Howard, who recently appeared at a tryout for the WWE, says that he’s serious about making the transition to professional wrestling. Howard discussed his future after the NBA during a recent interview with TMZ Sports.

“Whatever opportunity is best,” Howard told the outlet when asked how he’d respond to being offered a bigger contract in wrestling than the NBA.

When asked whether he’s serious about the pivot, he added, “Of course. No doubt.”

Howard is still currently a free agent after spending last season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Howard’s comments come after Triple H, who now works as the WWE’s Chief Content Officer, spoke about the 18-year NBA veteran’s wrestling potential.

“The ball’s in his court,” Triple H told Sporting News. “It’s a funny thing, Dwight, in the conversations we had was like, ‘You know, I really want to do this. I’m serious, I really want to do this.’ We hear that a lot, and there’s a difference between saying, ‘I want to do this,’ and putting in the grind and doing the work to get there.”

He continued: “[He] came by our tryouts in Nashville, was incredibly entertaining. Jumping in promos by himself and then with others, incredibly entertaining. Really driven to want to do this, it’s just a matter for him, he’s got a lot of things going on, right? So when he says,’ Hey I want to give this a shot,’ he’s got my phone number. All he’s gotta do is call me, and we’ll see what can happen. And if he’s willing to put in the grind and the drive that guys like Logan Paul, and Bad Bunny and Tyson Fury are willing to put in, then let’s go.”

Solange Called A “Witch” By TikToker, Fans Clap Back With Racism Claims

In one of the oddest allegations made this week, a TikTok star has gone viral for the wrong reasons after she theorized that R&B artist Solange, who recently composed music for the New York City Ballet, is a witch. Many fans were not just weirded out by the claim, but also criticized the theorist for misinterpreting what could easily be Solange’s personal spirituality and accused her of racism and forming something out of nothing.

The user in question, handled “gettingwitchywitit,” also dragged the singer’s sister Beyoncé into the mix. “To be honest,” she began, “I think Beyoncé and Solange are both very witchy, these things run in their family.” “Witchy” claims that Solange posted and deleted pictures of her altar on her Instagram and referenced voodoo at the 2018 Met Gala by carrying a bottle of Florida water. “Not to mention her living in New Orleans, which is tied to voodoo,” the TikToker said, finalizing her conspiracy with an old blog post where Solange said that she worships many goddesses and deities.

Now, apart from the obvious weirdness of the claim, many in the comments feel like this user is reading too deeply into Solange’s personal faith and her style choices. There’s also the the question of race, as this seems to be a white woman accusing a Black woman of witchery. It’s likely not out of malice, as these accounts often speculate for some viral fun. But the main issue people are referencing is the user’s lack of knowledge and quick assumptions about another culture’s beliefs and the beliefs of an individual.

On the music side of things, fans caught a few potential references to Jay-Z and Solange’s beef on her latest chart-topping album RENAISSANCE, and Solange herself was seen working on her new album with Master P. No one’s holding their breath on whether she’s a witch; we’re just waiting on some new heat from the creative.

Mississippi Residents File Lawsuit Due To Water Crisis

For a few months now, the city of Jackson, Mississippi has had insufficient or completely unavailable access to water. It’s been months of boil water notices and weeks without water, and four town residents have filed a class-action lawsuit against the state.

According to The Clarion-Ledger, the lawsuit seeks damages against ““various government and private engineering defendants over the neglect, mismanagement, and maintenance failures that led to an environmental catastrophe leaving more than 153,000 Jackson-area residents without access to safe running water.” The lawsuit alleges they have been in crisis for years.

Lieff Cabraser, the plaintiff’s attorney, said that “all families are entitled to clean and safe drinking water. Government officials turning a blind eye to contaminated water and letting a major American city’s infrastructure crumble into disrepair is neither representing nor caring for its people. This lawsuit seeks to bring justice — and safe, clean water — to the Jackson community.”

Last August, more than 150,000 Jackson residents were reportedly without water for weeks. Mississippi’s governor, Tate Reeves, had declared a state of emergency in Jackson a little under a month ago, urging residents not to drink water until further notice. While it seems that things have gotten better for the city in the past few weeks, amid federal intervention urged by President Joe Biden, this lawsuit is sure to tackle the more systemic issues that allowed the crisis to endanger citizens in the first place.

The town of Jackson is home to over 163,000 residents, with over 80% of them being Black. For years, the city has struggled with inadequate infrastructure and a lack of available resources for proper sustainability. According to a New York Times report, boil water notices were given a month before the crisis was declared an emergency. As of now, water is safe to drink in Jackson homes, and we will see if this lawsuit results in a positive change for the city’s community.

Aaron Carter Visited By Police After Fans Thought He Was Doing Drugs On Instagram Live

Aaron Carter’s been making headlines as a boxer lately, but in a recent Instagram Live, he got attention for a more concerning reason. On Tuesday, police received a call that Carter was “possibly overdosing on social media.”

During the live video, Carter was chatting with followers, but things took a turn when the screen went black and noises that sounded like huffing came over the stream. Fans started to worry that Carter was huffing air duster and contacted law enforcement.

When the police arrived at the singer’s place, they found him asleep and unharmed, and didn’t locate any drugs in the home. Authorities also confirmed that there was no evidence of a suicide attempt.

The “I Want Candy” singer then explained himself to TMZ. He said it was just a joke, and claimed he’s a “troll hunter.” “I’m tired of people coming after me so I trolled everybody,” he said. The joke might not have landed because Carter has been quite vocal about his drug addiction in the past. He says that he’s now five years sober.

In addition to boxing, Carter’s been keeping busy by suing his ex-girlfriend Melanie Martin for defamation. Martin had claimed that he broke her ribs, and Carter has denied the allegations. He told TMZ that the forthcoming lawsuit will be “Johnny Depp/Amber Heard 2.0.” Martin and Carter lost custody of their 9-month-old son Prince, and the child is now living with Martin’s mother after a court mandate which cited drug use and domestic abuse.

Nicki Minaj Breaks Another Record

The past few months have been exceptionally great for Nicki Minaj. From dropping singles to being honored at award shows, the mother of one has managed to remain relevant for more than a decade. Of course, her hard work comes with accomplishments, and she boasted about her most recent one on social media.

Earlier today (September 25), Nicki, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, retweeted a post about her new earnings. The original tweet, written by Chart Data, stated, “[Nicki Minaj] becomes the first female rapper to earn a milestone ten #1 hits at US Rhythmic Radio.” The 39-year-old quoted the statement with three emojis: champagne glasses toasting, a winking face, and an emoticon celebrating.

This achievement comes shortly after the rapper delivered a Rolling Loud performance so stellar that it caused her to trend online. While on stage on Friday, September 23, Nicki performed many old hits before bringing out a few esteemed artists to accompany her like Lil Uzi Vert, BIA, Fivio Foreign, and G Herbo.

Besides her star-studded set, the Harajuku Barbie was also a hot topic for other reasons. Video footage captured a fan in the audience attempting to snag a piece of Nicki’s long, black hair. The fan’s attempt was apparently successful, as internet users found a listing selling her strands for thousands of dollars.

The description for the pieces read, “Nicki Minaj’s hair from Rolling Loud ’22,” and was priced at a whopping $12,200. As of now, the hair has 21 bids.

Moneybagg Yo Walks Out With Tennessee Titans

Football season’s underway, and the stars are coming out to play, too. Moneybagg Yo walked out with the Tennessee Titans today for their victorious game against the Las Vegas Raiders. After teasing new music this week, he came out to his song “See Wat I’m Sayin,” complete with a roaring crowd and all the smoke the stadium could afford.

The Tennessee native’s appearance comes just after his performance at this weekend’s Rolling Loud New York, and a few months after his label CMG released the tape Gangsta Art. Many readers, though, might be more familiar with his public relationship with social media star Ari Fletcher. She was also at the Titans game showing Moneybagg some support.

The couple’s gone through a few rough patches recently, though, or at least it seems their status isn’t quite defined. Fletcher recently was filmed rapping Glorilla’s “F.N.F.,” a single anthem, directly at Moneybagg, and she had confirmed she was single weeks prior. Whatever might’ve happened seems to have passed, though, as they’ve still been seen together and given that the 31-year-old rapper congratulated Ari for her Forbes feature.

There’s one little detail that fans have chuckled at concerning the “Wockesha” rapper’s walkout. Someone from the Titans team gave Moneybagg a little butt slap before he started walking, and while he keeps a straight face, he does noticeably react to the tap and looks at the cameraperson filming him. It seems that tradition hasn’t crossed over into the hip-hop world yet, but props to Moneybagg Yo for supporting his team and playing to cool for the Gram.

Jamie Foxx & Diplo Perform “Gold Digger” At A Las Vegas Nightclub: Watch

Even at 54 years old, Jamie Foxx knows how to turn up.

On Friday (September 23), the Django Unchained star was out and about in Las Vegas. According to TMZ, he and a large crew rolled into the venue around 3 AM, quickly making their way up to the stage to join the evening’s DJ of choice, Diplo.

The Mississippi-born spinner didn’t hesitate to take patrons of XS Nightclub back in time by cranking up 2005’s “Gold Digger,” which Foxx hopped on the microphone to belt out perfectly, even all these years later.

Videos taken of the comedian prove that he hasn’t lost a step as he’s gotten older, and the track remains a classic as nearly everyone in the building was singing along word for word. Later in the evening, the father of two also assisted in singing Tyga’s 2012 club banger, “Rack City.”

It’s been noted that another celebrity was at XS on Friday and joined Diplo at his post – Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons. The “It’s Time” hitmaker got on the mic to celebrate along with partygoers but didn’t provide any impromptu singing.

Diplo is said to be riding something of a high lately after winning a lawsuit against a woman who was allegedly harassing him, in which he took more a massive judgment in arbitration.

As for Foxx, the last time he caught our eye was back in August, when he opened up about how his daughters don’t believe he’s the voice behind Pi’erre Bourne’s famous producer tag – read more about that here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.

Khloé Kardashian Seemingly Gets Her Lick Back During Milan Fashion Week With “365 Days” Actor Michele Morrone

Khloé Kardashian looks to be finally moving on from Tristan Thompson. The reality star previously tried to make things work with her baby daddy after being caught up in more than one infidelity scandal throughout their relationship, but ultimately, decided things wouldn’t last between them.

Now, the mother of two has been spotted with a man much different than her usual type – Italian actor Michele Morrone of sultry, scandalous, 365 Days fame.

Buzz about the pair first spread online after they were photographed getting up close and personal backstage at the Dolce & Gabbana runway – during which big sister Kim Kardashian debuted her “Ciao, Kim” collection and even strutted her stuff down the catwalk – and sitting side by side throughout the presentation.

The Good American founder dressed in a black bodysuit complete with sparkling embellishments for the big event, accessorizing her look with black sunglasses and a matching handbag.

For his part, the actor wore black trousers paired with an orange shirt that he left unbuttoned to expose his toned chest. In the photo taken of them together, he can be seen wrapping his hands around Kardashian’s waist, seemingly whispering something in her ear.

At this time, it remains unclear if Morrone and the socialite are actually a romantic item, or if their link-up was simply a seating plan coincidence that the internet has been loving.

From the sounds of things, many Twitter users are pleased to see Kardashian interacting publicly with men besides Thompson while also commenting on how good the potential pair looks together.

Kid Cudi Reveals Why He Made “Entergalactic” Animated Special: “I Was Bored”

Despite all the hate he’s been getting from Kanye West, Kid Cudi has been staying busy. He has his tenth studio album, Entergalactic, dropping very soon, and has said that he’s working on a memoir that’s “all real, all honest.”

Cudi’s been known to dip his toes into projects that aren’t just music, and with Entergalactic, the artist teamed up with Kenya Barris to make an animated special that will accompany the album on Netflix. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Cudi explained why he added the animated component to the project.

“I was tired of making albums,” the “Pursuit Of Happiness” rapper said. “I was bored of it. I was bored of having an album, dropping two music videos, and then that’s it. I was tired of the same old thing.” To get out of the rut, he knew he had to do go outside his comfort zone.

“I was like if I’m going to do another album, it has to be exciting,” he explained. “It has to be something different that nobody’s ever done before. And that’s when I came up with the idea to try to do this musical told through animation. And it just made so much sense from that point on.”

Cudi noted that working with Barris was a no-brainer for him. “Kenya was the first person who really put the animation idea in my head cause he said that Netflix was looking for animation,” he said.

The special will come out on 10/1, with the album coming out the day before. It will star Timothée Chalamet, Jessica Williams, Ty Dolla $ign, and 070 Shake.
