Tupac Murder Case: Police Reportedly Arrest Suspect In Drive-By Shooting

The murder of Tupac Shakur is one of hip-hop’s most tragic and infamous stories, one that continues to spark interest, mystery, and controversy. Of course, his feud with Biggie Smalls and his subsequent loss also adds to that dark context and intrigue. However, despite this case being open for over twenty years, there is still hope that we will get some answers. Sure, those answers have mostly been conspiracies up until this point, but it seems like we might get an official closure on it soon. Moreover, according to reports from the Associated Press, Las Vegas police arrested a suspect in the fatal 1996 drive-by shooting.

No further details emerged surrounding this arrest as of writing this article, so things are still pretty unclear. What’s more is that this follows a couple of other interesting developments in the Tupac case as of late, especially concerning Keefe D. Many believe, including prosecutors, that he’s responsible for the murder, but recent forensic examinations point to other conclusions. For example, authorities found bullets in his home that don’t match the crime scene in this case, and his testimonies and legal battle reignited speculation around this.

Before they get to that videotape, before they get to that camera, it’s already written down what you’re going to say. They going to tell you what they need for you to say and how they need for you to think and what you need to do to get out this situation.

“And Keefe D- no disrespect,” Deal continued. “To me, he did what he had to do to walk home. He said what he had to say to be a free man. All the players is dead right now. Gunna Photoshopped Onto Donald Trump Mugshot

Two notorious legal cases are developing in Fulton County, Georgia, with wildly different parameters, implications, and public narratives. One is the YSL RICO case, involving Young Thug and- for a couple of months prior to a plea deal- Gunna and many other collective members. The other is one of four criminal cases against former president Donald Trump, this RICO one referring to election interference in the state. The Internet and social media recently shattered when 45’s mugshot released online, and people made countless jokes and memes about it already. Moreover, one of these links these two cases in an unconventional way.

DJ Akademiks recently posted a picture of Gunna superimposed onto Donald Trump’s mugshot, and asked “Who made this?” Many fans thought he was baiting or trying to make something random and small a hit, with responses like “that was you AK” and “I didn’t laugh button.” Regardless, it’s still a kind of funny image considering the controversial context behind the rapper’s incarceration and release. It’s a purely context-based meme, and one that unwittingly equates a murky and contested RICO case with one of the most scandalous and damning crime stories of the past few years- or, at least, since news of Trump’s other indictments broke.

What’s more is that there’s actually more connections to make between these cases, believe it or not. Just goes to show that there are some news stories with absolutely no predictable “Trump crossover” bingo card available. Gunna and the disgraced political figure actually share the same lawyer, at least regarding these specific Fulton County cases. Rather, Trump hired the same lawyer that got the College Park MC off the hook.

Meanwhile, the same person, District Attorney Fani Willis, brought both of these RICO cases forward and wants to see them completed with justice. That’s a tough term to use in relation to YSL, as slow jury selection, lack of bond, and multiple antics and controversies have muddled the case for better or worse. In Trump’s case, it’s accountability that many people wanted to see following the 2020 election, but will surely have its ups and downs, too. Overall, sometimes there is more to memes than meets the eye- even if Akademiks might’ve just ghostwrote it to not deal with negative feedback. New York Rapper Naz GPG Arrested For Alleged Shooting That Struck 4-Year-Old Child

Naz GPG, a rapper from New York, was reportedly arrested by authorities for a shooting that resulted in a four-year-old boy getting shot. Moreover, the specific charges against him are attempted second-degree murder, multiple assault offenses, and weapons possession charges, as well. According to CBS News, the shooting occurred on July 26 shortly after midnight on the Upper West Side. Furthermore, police claimed that a car drove on West 94th Street and Amsterdam Avenue and shot at a residence. A bullet hit the child in the leg while his mother, who was with him, suffered no injuries.

In addition, a video surfaced online on Wednesday (August 9) of the arrest, with officers apprehending Naz. Not only that, but you can hear his sister asking for his girlfriend’s phone number so she could inform her of the situation. Also, she asked for his chain from police, who did not seem conducive to that idea in the clip. From what court documents indicate in relation to the specific charges, the MC pleaded not guilty to all charges he stands accused of.

With bail or bond set at $500,000, this is still a developing story that will surely shape the rapper’s career moving forward. A witness to the alleged crime spoke to the aforementioned news outlet about what they saw, making Naz’s case tougher. “When I got to the door right there, that’s why I heard the mother screaming,” they recalled. “So when I came, I seen the kid right there on the floor. He had blood all over him. So then when I came out, there’s an ambulance standing right over there, so I ran to the ambulance and I told them that I heard some gunshots and there’s a kid on the floor.”

Meanwhile, a man also suffered injuries as a result of this alleged attack, as a bullet grazed his foot. These victims, police believe, are not the targets that Naz intended to harm, and the four-year-old recovered from his injuries in a hospital. Police also clarified that they sought two suspects in this case, and it’s unknown whether they arrested another. 6ix9ine Arrested In Florida For No-Show In Court Amid Massive Credit Card Debt

It seems like not even jail time is enough to scare 6ix9ine into paying his six-figure credit card debt to American Express. Moreover, according to Page Six, authorities recently arrested the rapper in Florida’s Palm Beach County on Wednesday (August 9) for failing to appear in court. Unless this is an entirely different case unknown to the public, you might’ve heard of this development in relation to his credit card debts. Just yesterday as of writing this article (August 9), American Express reportedly sent out subpoenas to begin taking money from his other bank accounts to pay for the near-$120K unpaid fees. It’s still unclear how much this will actually affect his finances or if he will try to reach some sort of deal.

Furthermore, failure to show up in court when summoned can result in either imprisonment or fines, according to West Palm Beach Defense. How much these payments or jail stays are depends on the judge in the case, the severity of the crimes in their eyes, and what the case is about. With that in mind, apparently 6ix9ine got off pretty easy with this recent arrest, and perhaps his legal future over his debts will be similar. After all, the New York MC was only in custody for about three hours before posting a $2,000 bond and being free again.

Of course, the rainbow-haired provocateur is no stranger to legal trouble or court cases. Also this week, a tattoo artist named Takashi Matsuba sued him for defamatory comments. It’s ironic because 6ix9ine (also known as Tekashi) said that the ink artist is the inspiration for his rap name. However, the 27-year-old also claimed Matsuba was addicted to heroin in the past, which he claimed in his suit to have negatively impacted his business.

“I lost a number of friends, but by far the most important one is my dear wife,” Matsuba’s lawsuit read. “We divorced last year, because she no longer trusted me after Hernandez’s false statements about me were broadcast on Hulu and Showtime.” We’ll see which case ends up being more impactful on the “Shaka Laka” singer. Prince Of “Love & Hip Hop” Arrested In Miami For Burglary With Assault Or Battery

Christopher Michael Harty, better known as Prince or Prince Michael of “Love & Hip Hop: Miami,” just got himself into some more hot water. Moreover, reports recently surfaced of his arrest in Miami recently, allegedly for burglary with battery or assault, and no further details have emerged about it. While we don’t know the circumstances behind it, many people in the comments of coverage of this development remarked that he’s been in jail a lot as of late. Hopefully things pick up for him in the future, but it’s nonetheless worrisome alleged behavior. Surely within the next few days, authorities and the Florida native himself might reveal more information about the case.

Furthermore, this further concerned fans thanks to previous legal trouble that the reality TV star got himself into. For example, back in August of 2021, authorities arrested Prince for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting his girlfriend at the time, which also involved battery charges. With this history in mind, many lament that someone with an already successful career made carried out these alleged actions. If it’s not true, then something fishy’s going on with these multiple claims.

However, there are other legal battles of the 33-year-old’s that turned out a bit better for him. The most notable one concerned his consistent attempts to score a boxing match with Tory Lanez after multiple claims of physical assault against him. In December of last year, Prince and Lanez reportedly settled their lawsuit concerning these assaults, and the boxing match never manifested itself. Apparently they were able to reach a financial agreement, and ironically the two faced larger legal trouble later on.

Meanwhile, considering his high profile, this likely won’t be the last we hear of this arrest. We’ll see whether that’s mostly due to gossip or based on more legitimate and serious charges, and either is just as likely. Steve-O Jumps Off London Bridge Tower, Detained By Cops

Steve-O did some extreme sightseeing in London, England, on Thursday, July 6th. The Jackass stuntman, all clad in Union Jack streetwear and a British flag umbrella, counted “One, Two, Three” before jumping from one of the London Bridge Towers into the River Thames. A few screaming fans were in attendance for the impromptu stunt…as were the London police. Once he made it to shore, the cops arrested and detained Steve-O for the unsanctioned stunt.

The London police allowed him to change his shirt and escorted him to a cop car through a throng of people. Some fans started chanting Steve-O’s name as he talked with the British fuzz. In the middle of his getting detained, he plugged his comedy show, which he was filming while in the U.K. “We just opened up tickets for the late show on July 14th at the Hackney Empire,” he says to the camera. “It’s the taping of my Bucket List special. Be there!” He then got put into a police car.

Why Did Steve-O Jump Off The London Bridge?

This stunt was clearly part of the Bucket List special Steve-O’s filming in London. TMZ got footage of the stunt and the subsequent detaining of the infamous stunt star, showing just how unfazed he is about the whole ordeal. Perhaps there is some sort of agreement between his production crew and English officials on the legality of the stunt. However, the police informed Steve-O that they were afraid his stunt would cause others to do the same for suicidal purposes. They weren’t concerned about the filming of the bridge leap as much as they were about British public health.

Steve-O said that they let him go eventually. And while he spent some time in a cop car, it didn’t compare to the half-minute he spent in the Thames. He called the river absolutely filthy, which won’t mix well with a new tattoo he just got above the knee. And this isn’t the first jump he’s done in England. He also leaped off a double-decker bus onto the pavement, making for a tougher landing than a dirty river.

YSL Rapper FN DaDealer Arrested On Murder Charges: Report

YSL rapper FN DaDealer, real name Jakobe Moody, was reportedly arrested for alleged murder this week. Moreover, the report comes from 11Alive News, who obtained court documents detailing the arrest for the killing, which took the life of 28-year-old father of two, Tremaine Glasper. He is survived by the rest of the members of his family and his two young daughters. Furthermore, Moody (who is 20 years old) is accused of provoking a shooting on June 5 at the Columbia At Mechanicsville Crossing apartment complex. Police had three suspects potentially responsible for the murder, and the search for the other two is apparently still underway.

Of course, this unfortunate development adds to the mountain of legal issues that the record label’s members face. The most obvious of these is the ongoing RICO case against several members, including its founder Young Thug. As far as his side, his defense team motioned to block a police officer from the witness stand in court. Apparently, they believe that this official would have provided false information irrelevant to the case, mainly the claim that Thug cooperated with authorities regarding information on a homicide case.

Regardless, the case is still looking for jurors and has been in relative limbo for months, if not a year. What’s more is that its most recently delay came about because of defense attorney Eric Johnson. Police took custody of his laptop, on which they believe he allowed his client, YSL’s Christian Eppinger, to contact other members of the collective who weren’t caught up in the indictment. Until the court resolves his (for which a hearing will take place on July 12), the YSL trial is postponed.

Meanwhile, this news comes against the backdrop of Young Thug’s new album, BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. While many celebrated his return to music despite the circumstances, it seems like the moment became bittersweet. Hunxho Reportedly Arrested After Shooting At His ATL Birthday Bash

June isn’t over yet, but already it’s been one of the busiest months in terms of hip-hop and crime. We’ve had our eye on the YSL/YFN RICO trials for months now. In addition, YNW Melly’s double murder proceedings have seen plenty of ups and downs. Elsewhere, Boosie Badazz, Quando Rondo, and Jacquees were put behind bars (only the second artist remains there – the other two have since bonded out). As if all of that weren’t enough chaos to take in, reports claim that Hunxho was arrested in Atlanta on Saturday (June 24) night.

Footage obtained by @newsmadeit on Instagram shows officers at Lyfe ATL nightclub, where a shooting took place during the producer’s celebration. In the clip, a group of police run swarm toward the scene of the crime. We also see people and various cars waiting outside to see what would happen next. A truck that was in the area at the time seems to have taken some bullets, and at least one person was hit though their condition remains unknown at this time

Moments later, it’s been said that Hunxho was arrested for alleged gun possession. Another video taken last night shows the “48 Laws of Power” artist being held down on the ground by an officer. “Why they lock him up?” a female voice asks from being the camera. “They said Hunxho had a gun in his hand,” another woman explained.

The news is particularly unfortunate considering it comes little more than a year after the 24-year-old beat RICO charges. “Been fighting this RICO for FOUR YEARS,” he wrote on his Instagram Story in May 2022. “Dis s**t don’t even feel real right now .”

Charleston White Reacts To Boosie Badazz Arrest: “God Done Gave You What You Asked For”

It’s been a tough week for Boosie Badazz. The controversial lyricist was the only artist to show up in Broward County court to support YNW Melly amid his double murder trial. His presence wasn’t entirely surprising seeing as he previously beat similar accusations of his own. After a few days watching Boosie made it known that he’d like to try his hand at studying law. Shortly after sharing that message to his Instagram page, the father of eight was arrested by federal agents on Wednesday (June 14) outside of a court hearing in San Diego, California.

As HipHopDX notes, Boosie appeared before a judge regarding his charges from May. At the time he was filming a music video with Billy Three. During a traffic stop, police officers uncovered two handguns in his vehicle and booked him on person with felony convictions in possession of a firearm, concealed carry weapon in a vehicle, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and unlisted owner of a registered firearm. Those have since been dismissed, though it still remains unclear what the feds picked him up on this time. As the news continues to circulate online, reactions have been pouring in from all over – including a highly anticipated one from Charleston White.

And who better to play Daniel than you?” White continued, comparing the Baton Rouge native to the Biblical character.

“Since you so muthaf**king gangsta and you got all these gangsta codes and ethics, put your suit on like Melle Mel, ni**a, ’cause you ’bout to be sentenced,” the 52-year-old comedian predicted. “When the feds come, they don’t come just to be — ‘Oops, I made a mistake!’ No, when the feds show up, they done dotted their i’s, crossed their t’s, and they know they got you.” In other news, Boosie Badazz isn’t the only one to feel Charleston White’s wrath as of late. Beyoncé Fan Arrested At Opening Night Of “Renaissance” Tour

Beyoncé kicked off her “Renaissance” tour last night in Sweden. Unsurprisingly, there have been plenty of headlines coming from the first night of the tour. Before the show even started, parts of the setlist were leaked. A fan that got their hands on the tour book uploaded a video that shows a preliminary setlist. Now that the first night of the tour has concluded, fans finally have the full, 36-song setlist. However, even beyond the songs, there were plenty of entertaining moments for fans the world over to take in. Beyoncé was extremely shady on the first night of her tour.

First, the singer shaded demanding fans. Since the release of Beyoncé’s latest album last year, fans have been begging for some sort of visuals. A segment of Beyoncé’s set provided a very direct response to this question. In the intro to “Formation,” a narrator provides a voice-over as the words are displayed on huge screens. “You’ve asked for the visuals,” the disembodied voice says. “…but a queen moves at her own pace, b*tch.” Queen Bey also seemingly shaded Donald Glover for his show Swarm. The show revolves around a fan obsessed with a Beyoncé-like pop star. During one segment of the show where Beyoncé is dressed as a literal queen bee, she said, “Swarm these hands, n*gga.”

Beyoncé fans are infamous for their passion and unwavering support of the iconic artist. However, it appears that a fan took their enthusiasm just a bit too far at the “Renaissance” Tour. According to a video shared among Beyoncé fans online, the fan was arrested during the show for allegedly trespassing into the exclusive “Club Renaissance” area. The cordoned-off area offers VIP treatment with a team of concierges and hosts. Regrettably, the fan seemed to be unaware that the term “concierge team” likely includes high-level security personnel.

It may have just begun, but Beyoncé’s tour has already generated more than its fair share of headlines. In addition to the major shade thrown and fans being arrested, Beyoncé performed Lil Uzi Vert’s viral “Just Wanna Rock” dance. As the tour continues, we can surely expect daily headlines.
