ASAP Rocky Shooting Case Going To Trial, Judge Finds Probable Cause: Report

ASAP Rocky’s court case and trial for an alleged 2021 assault in Hollywood, in which he stands accused of shooting ASAP Relli, just got some crucial updates, according to Meghann Cuniff on one end and TMZ on the other. Moreover, on Monday afternoon (November 20), the Los Angeles judge in this case ruled that there is enough probable cause, as determined by preliminary hearings, to support his present charges of two counts of first-degree assault with a firearm. As such, the case will move to a trial in the near future. Cuniff also indicated that the court will arraign the rapper on January 8.

Not only that, but according to TMZ, prosecutors submitted what they claim is video evidence on Monday of ASAP Rocky holding a gun before shooting his colleague. While he isn’t very identifiable in the footage in question, attorneys opposing him from across the courtroom are dead-set on defending this. For assistance, Los Angeles Police Department detective Frank Flores testified that they found the clip while investigating the case. Throughout this testimony, the publication also reported that the New York MC remained calm and collected. Now that this is officially moving to trial, perhaps the two will reconsider reports that they were hashing out a settlement.

ASAP Rocky To Be Arraigned For Shooting Case On Jan. 8, Meghan Cuniff Reports

A judge in Los Angeles just ruled there’s enough probable cause for rapper A$AP Rocky, Rihanna’s boyfriend and the father of her two children, to support two counts of first-degree assault with a firearm. He’ll be arraigned Jan. 8, and the case will proceed to trial.

In addition, prosecutors also presented alleged audio-centric footage of the two shots that ASAP Rocky allegedly fired off at his fellow Mob affiliate. However, as of writing this article, there is no unquestionable footage available of the shooting itself. For those unaware, ASAP Relli claims that his group mate shot his hand, and also made various statements about his mental state throughout it all. Not only that, but the court also saw body cam footage from seven police officers. Furthermore, these cops arrived at the scene of the incident and scoured for clues, evidence, and any other relevant information present.

After their efforts, they announced that they did not find a firearm anywhere on the premises. ASAP Relli’s side of the story is that he and ASAP Rocky feuded for a while before this alleged shooting. His testimony alleged that the father of two put the weapon up against him, placed directly on his stomach. While he didn’t shoot in that moment, Relli claims that shots rang out shortly after they moved apart- four, to be exact- and that he ran away. Contrary to police reports, Relli also alleged that he found a pair of 9mm shell casings when he returned to the supposed crime scene later that night. Law enforcement and forensics experts did not identify any fingerprints on the casings that he presented.

Moreover, the closest thing we have to that is the Barbadian singer’s appearance in the “Fashion Killa” music video, but nothing else. As such, many folks wonder what a team-up on wax between the two would sound like, especially as they still haven’t dropped their long-awaited follow-up albums. Furthermore, the New York MC recently told Complex of what a joint effort from him and his boo would sound like. In fact, he named his favorite collaboration of theirs, and it’s as wholesome of an answer as you’d want.

“If me and my lady was to collab, what could we, like, team up and just f***ing smash and go cr*zy on?” ASAP Rocky remarked while repeating the question. “I think we do a real great job at collaborating and making children. I think that’s our best creation so far. Nothing’s better than that, I don’t think. Any design- I mean, we had a third designer coming to help. A ghost designer named God, you know, shaped everything. And we have these beautiful angels, so that’s the best collaboration,” he concluded with a laugh.

Rihanna and ASAP Rocky aren’t taking the traditional approach to starting a family, but so far, remaining boyfriend and girlfriend while raising their two sons together seems to be working well for them. There will always be critics who attempt to shame them for getting pregnant before marriage, but the Barbadian has made it clear that she’s comfortable where she’s at with Rocky for now, and not in any rush to walk down the aisle. Of course, she and her man still support each other like spouses would, most recently stepping out together for his Puma x F1 pop-up event in Las Vegas on Friday (November 17) evening.

Ever the style icon, Rih kept warm in a long, brown leather coat with abstract detailing. Her long hair, which has been notably lighter as of late, was worn up in a high bun, giving a markedly glamorous touch to her street style. ASAP obviously looked great beside her, using neon gloves and sneakers to keep all eyes on him. The rest of his look consists of a graphic tee, navy carpenter pants, a jacket from his collection, and a baseball cap reading “ALLAH.”

RZA, Rihanna, & ASAP Rocky Are The All-American Family Sans Baby Riot At The Park

Not every celebrity who takes on the daunting task of parenthood has an easy time tackling the job. So far, ASAP Rocky and Rihanna seem to only be settling more comfortably into themselves since welcoming two sons over the past two years. When they filmed the “Fashion Killa” visual together over a decade ago, it’s unlikely the lovers (who were then only friends) saw themselves forming a family together in the future. However, they now have the ever-pleasant RZA running around on them, as well as newborn Riot Rose Mayers.

After taking some time out of the spotlight to recover from her second pregnancy, we’ve been seeing the Bad Gal back outside in recent weeks. Many appearances have been showcasing a notably lighter hairstyle for the coming winter, though Rocky has been spending less time by his partner’s side as of late. Seeing as he’s in the midst of court proceedings for allegedly shooting ASAP Relli, some fans have expressed concern that trouble is afoot for the pair as the “Changes” artist awaits his fate. Thankfully, DailyMail reported on Monday (November 13) that he and his better half spent the last of their weekend relaxing at a Los Angeles park with their firstborn.

Parenthood Looks Good on ASAP Rocky and Rihanna

As per usual, the multi-talents coordinated their outfits to look as cool as ever. While Rih rocked a vibrant, red sport jacket from Loewe, Rocky provided the perfect contrast in his navy colorway of the same model. Both artists wore blue baseball caps and oversized, light-wash denim for their day out together. 17-month-old RZA rode in his stroller in front of them, looking more like the perfect blend of his mom and dad with each passing day.

Unfortunately for Rocky, the joy of being a new father to RZA and Riot has been slightly overshadowed by his beef with ASAP Relli. In an interview with Complex Magazine, A$AP Rocky named the three best dressed rappers of all time; Brand Nubian’s Grand Puba, music/fashion mogul Kanye West and super producer Pharrell Williams.

Rocky, whose given name is Rakim Allah Meyers, names Puba first for his truck jewelry and signature Tommy Hilfiger gear that was gifted to him by Mr Hilfiger himself in the early 90s.
