Anonymous NBA Poll Announces Most Overrated Player

The NBA has in the most important leg of their season. The opening round of the playoffs has already started with a bang. Including all the drama that took place on Monday night with Draymond Green and Damontas Sabonis. However, it appears as if the league can never run out of fresh drama. This time, the drama will not have a direct person to blame. Because the source doesn’t have a name. However, that doesn’t mean the latest news won’t cause a stir.

The Athletic recently took an anonymous player poll around the league. The range of topics was from best fan base to worst fan base, to even who is the most overrated player in the league. Calling someone overrated is a statement that carries a lot of weight. However, calling someone overrated without repercussions may be a little easier. On the topic of the most overrated player in the game, one name earned the most votes. That name belongs to Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young.

Trae Young Voted Most Overrated Player

Young took home the crown of most overrated, an award I’d assume makes him proud. However, there were other big names that received votes in the category. The first stunner would be Damian Lillard. Lillard grabbed nearly 4% of the vote in a category he doesn’t belong in. Dame has long been highly regarded as one of the best to play the game. But for some, those praises may not state the case of who he is as a player. The list is bound to ruffle a few feathers. Including Green, who may not be the best at holding back his feelings.

It is strange that everyone aside from Lillard on this list at least qualified for the play-in tournament this season. Maybe the anonymous voters all played on teams that are currently sitting at home. Whatever the case may be, Young has bigger fish to fry. The Hawks have the huge challenge of trying to take down the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs. So, maybe this is the bulletin board material Young needs. Do you believe that Young is the most overrated player in the NBA? If not Young, who earns your vote? Bravely let us know in the comment section. NBA YoungBoy Reportedly Welcomes His 11th Child

NBA YoungBoy has had an impressive ascent to superstar status in the rap game. Despite not being a mainstream artist, he remains one of the most influential rappers in youth culture. Moreover, if you were to look at his YouTube numbers, you would realize they are astronomical. He is constantly outperforming some of the biggest artists in the entire world. Overall, this includes people in the pop music space with a huge machine behind them. It is simply a testament to the artist’s talent and consistency.

At the age of 23, NBA YoungBoy and his legacy are pretty well cemented. If he were to stop making music right now, he would likely go down as a legend. It just goes to show that having a strong start to your career can make all the difference. Aside from music, however, YoungBoy has been building a large family. Prior to recently, he had 10 children with eight different baby mothers. According to outlets like No Jumper, YoungBoy has since had his 11th child, this time with a ninth mother.

The baby mother in question is Drew Valentina, who is an Instagram model. Reports about this 11th child circulated months ago, at the end of 2022. The speculation concerning the child was brought up when Valentina took to her IG with the caption, “thank u for choosing me to be your mommy.” As you will see, the vast majority of the comments have to do with NBA YoungBoy. Moreover, in Valentina’s last few posts, she no longer has a baby bump, which suggests that she has, indeed, had the child.

Various facts surrounding the baby are still unknown, such as the name and gender. However, YoungBoy tends to be a private person, so it makes sense that he has yet to reveal these details. Hopefully, the baby is healthy and thriving as YoungBoy continues to add to his family. Be sure to stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the music world. Consequence Clarifies Recent Comments On Q-Tip & Previews New Collab

Consequence has taken to social media to clarify his recent comments on Q-Tip doing the “shadiest shit ever.” He had been referring to the legendary A Tribe Called Quest rapper signing with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music back in the day during an interview with VladTV. Cons says that his comments made it appear as if he still holds a grudge against Q-Tip, but that isn’t the case. He also previewed an upcoming collaboration between the two of them titled, “Good Luck With That.”

“Vlad did a great job, but as a prerequisite, when I did the interview, he asked me could we go through my whole career,” Cons began in a video he posted last Friday. “And so, we just kind of chronologically went through each chamber so in particular with Q-Tip, I wanna just clarify a couple things. When I said, ‘the shadiest thing he ever…’ whatever, that was just due to the fact that I was just thinking about that time period.”

He continued: “Right now me and Q-Tip – we good, everything cool. I spoke to him not too long ago. This week is his birthday, my birthday is this Monday coming up. We usually celebrate our birthdays together but he been busy, I been busy but definitely I wanna say happy birthday to Q-Tip.”

From there, Cons took the time to “fill in a couple blanks.” He explained: “Number one, you know I did ‘The Chase Pt. 2’ – Q-Tip made sure I got paid. He also gave me access to Violator Management. I was dealing with Keisha Harris. Keisha Harris plugged me with Dino Delvaille who did the Cash Money deal eventually. He was A&Ring for Jeru The Damaja and he started managing me. After we linked up, being that he was dealing with Gang Starr and Preemo’s from Texas – there was a guy from Texas who was like the white version of Preemo. His name was Overtime. Me and Overtime connected, we started working on joints. We hit a little wall tryna shop them because everybody was like, ‘Yo you Q-Tip cousin and he should be the one tryna get you a deal.”

“So I had to have a heart to heart with Tip,” he added. “Tip got on board, we did this joint called ‘Living It Up’ and it was a joint. Unfortunately that’s one of the records that we lost in the fire at his crib. So, it was a few things that led to him shopping me to Puff but nonetheless, he did it and that’s when I wound up joining Tribe.”

He concluded by hinting at putting out a new album in the near future. “Me and Q-Tip celebrate our birthdays a week apart – he’s April 10, I’m April 17. I’m in a great space right now, I have no venom or vitriol for anybody,” he said. “I’m looking forward to putting out this new album and actually, me and Q-Tip got a joint. Let’s run that real quick.” Check out Consequence’s full video below.

The Drake & The Weeknd AI-Generated Song Was Removed From DSPs After A Statement From Universal Music Group

It was fun while it lasted, but it looks like the era of AI-generated reproductions of rappers’ voices online is already facing its end. As I predicted a couple of months ago, it only took the right/wrong artist being unwillingly exploited for profit before the labels stepped in, shutting down some of the more notable tracks.

“Heart On My Sleeve,” one such track that had gone viral after being posted on DSPs, was the subject of a takedown request by Universal Music Group, which had it pulled from streamers. The track garnered attention for pairing the voices of Canadian artists Drake and The Weeknd for a song about The Weeknd’s ex Selena Gomez; it was a reunion of sorts for two artists who were once a dynamic duo but have since seemingly kept each other at arm’s length after a falling out.

Drake, it should be noted, wasn’t laughing when an AI-generated cover of his voice rapping Ice Spice’s “Munch” came to his attention. It’s just one of many fan-created joke tracks, which even include a phony Eminem verse on a David Guetta song.

And while proponents said “Heart On My Sleeve,” created by anonymous TikToker ghostwriter977, sounded just like something the two performers would actually make, detractors derided the song for only doing so on a surface level, throwing in additional criticism for listeners who praised it, calling them nothing short of racist for downplaying the true creativity that goes into hip-hop (you don’t see, for instance, AI-generated pop-punk or country music going viral for sounding “authentic”).

In a statement to Billboard, UMG decried the practice of generative AI copies of artists’ vocals, saying:

The training of generative AI using our artists’ music (which represents both a breach of our agreements and a violation of copyright law) as well as the availability of infringing content created with generative AI on DSPs, begs the question as to which side of history all stakeholders in the music ecosystem want to be on: the side of artists, fans and human creative expression, or on the side of deep fakes, fraud and denying artists their due compensation. We’re encouraged by the engagement of our platform partners on these issues – as they recognize they need to be part of the solution.

And hey, look: The irony of a major label complaining about “denying artists their due compensation” is not lost on me here. (Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.) But they’ve got a point: AI doesn’t just cut out the middleman (in this case, the labels), it also cuts out artists, who don’t get a say in the sort of subjects these fan-generated AI reproductions will ultimately indulge in (it’s only a matter of time until someone turns Kanye’s borderline neo-Nazi rants into a song, sung by an artist like Beyoncé or Rihanna). So, it’s probably best someone steps in sooner rather than later — at least to get some sort of legal framework in place so artists have recourse when they’re inevitably “forced” to “say” something they never said.

Ice Spice Tried Using Her Real Name In A Post But Instagram Took It Down

Ice Spice and Instagram might have some issues now. The “Bikini Bottom” rapper had her post removed, citing it represented “violence and dangerous organizations,” which went against the app’s community guidelines.

Her original post was a selfie, which she captioned “Ayo Isis,” along with an eye emoji. She then posted a screenshot of the deletion alert to her Instagram story, writing, “can’t type my name is ode,” with a crying emoji. Because the Bronx musician’s real name is Isis Naija Gaston.

While Ice Spice has millions of followers on the platform, you’d think it wouldn’t have gotten flagged for what it thought it was referencing, but the social media algorithms seem to just be… doing whatever these days.

As for her music, she recently collaborated with Nicki Minaj on “Princess Diana” and PinkPantheress on the “Boy’s A Liar” remix.

“I’m so excited to be collaborating with her because I’m really a huge fan, ever since I first heard of her I’ve been a fan,” Spice shared with Dazed about PinkPantheress earlier this year. “So for her to ask me to hop on ‘Boy’s a Liar,’ I’m really excited. And the video is fire too. It’s unexpected, but we still have a correlation to each other somehow. Even before the record, fans really wanted it. There was already requests for that.”

PinkPantheress is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
