Matt Champion Unleashes Danceable New Single “Slug”

It looks like 2024 will be a major year for former Brockhampton member Matt Champion, who dropped off his second solo offering of this month earlier this week. Towards the beginning of February, the performer teamed up with Dijon to unleash the melancholy single “Aphid.” Now, the Texas-born performer has delivered yet another atmospheric track, “Slug.”

The bright single also arrives alongside a creative accompanying music video, which sees the performer covered in slime, dancing in a clear plastic bubble in the woods. Eventually, he’s joined by several other dancers, who confidently strut around him as he crawls around on the ground looking out of place. The fun, danceable track is grounded by heartfelt lyrics about pining for someone to love, and being willing to do anything to keep them around.

Matt Champion Unveils Second Solo Single Of The Month

The release of “Slug” has certainly managed to impress fans, who are now flooding Matt Champion’s comments section with demands for more new music. Luckily for them, it appears as though he has additional releases on the way. “Stay tuned for more from Matt Champion soon,” a recent press release advises. It remains unclear whether or not the performer has any plans for a full project anytime soon. Regardless, fans are glad to see him broadening his artistic horizons with his latest solo releases.

Producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones accuses the Bad Boy Records mogul of groping his genitals, showing him explicit videos, and more. He also claims that Diddy told him he slept with two fellow artists, though their names were redacted in the suit.

One of the individuals was described as a “Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.” The other “performed at the Super Bowl and had a successful Vegas residency.” These descriptions prompted speculation that the artists in question are Meek Mill and Usher. Since the chatter began, Meek Mill has been desperately denying the allegations on Twitter/X, insisting they’re nothing but an attempt to bring him down.

J Balvin is celebrating the ladies. Today (February 29), J Balvin has shared his new single, “Triple S,” which stands for “Suelta, Soltera, Sin Nadie Que La Joda” — which when loosely translated to English means “Single, Strong and Not to Be Messed With.”

On “Triple S,” Balvin teams up with De La Ghetto and Jowell & Randy, tapping into his reggaeton roots. Over a rhythmic, percussive beat, Balvin and crew champion strong women, celebrating their determination and strength.

In the song’s accompanying video, Balvin, De La Ghetto, and Jowell & Randy carry out a master plan for a brilliant woman mafia leader. The video, which takes place at Charles Sieger’s luxurious estate Chateau Artisan, contains a twist, ultimately leading this woman to the top.

For this new era of his illustrious music career, Balvin is pulling out all the stops. This April, Balvin will perform at Coachella on the main stage. And then soon after, he will embark on the Que Bueno Volver A Verte International Tour, during which, he will visit 20 European cities.
