Big Hit recently shared a video of himself linking up with The Game in the studio on Instagram. “What took you so long, n***a?” Hit asks in one clip as they meet up. “You regulatin’, Blood. You runnin’ this sh*t.” In another post, the two perform along to what appears to be a new collaboration. “My daddy dead and my momma dyin’/ On my daughter, I’m just out here trying,’” The Game raps.

The post had fans on Instagram stoked for the team-up. “Big hit got a verse from game with out a name drop!?!?!?” one user commented. Another wrote: “Sh*t sounds f*ckin nuts [fire emoji].”

Big Hit recently collaborated with his son, Hit-Boy, to drop his first project since getting out of prison, The Truth Is In My Eyes. The two celebrated its release at Bottom Bunk Sneaker House in Los Angeles, earlier this month. Metro Boomin reportedly had the most streamed rap album of 2023 with his project, Heroes & Villains, according to OurGenerationMusic. The album earned 3.3 Billion streams on Spotify, making it the only hip-hop effort to cross the 3 billion mark. He dropped it as his second studio album on December 2, 2022.

Heroes & Villains was a star-studded release for Metro with features from John Legend, Future, Chris Brown, Don Toliver, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Young Thug, the Weeknd, ASAP Rocky, Takeoff, and Gunna, among others. It debuted atop the US Billboard 200, with 185,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, marking Metro’s third time doing so.

Looking forward to 2024, Metro Boomin is hoping to continue his success after the new year. He has a long-awaited collaborative project with Future slated for release and recently teased another effort with Zaytoven as well. For the latter, he revealed on Twitter, earlier this week: “Me and @zaytovenbeatz probably got 100 [three flame emojis] beats by now. I got on here to ask you guys what artist should we do a tape with first but now I’m thinking maybe it should be a compilation tape of various artists over these masterpieces!” He added in a subsequent post: “The sound of these beats me and @zaytovenbeatz make together are so unique like nothing my ears have ever heard before. I think we need a name as a production duo.. any ideas?”

Tyga & Blac Chyna Will Fine Attendees Of Their Son’s Baptism $500k For Violating NDA

Tyga and Blac Chyna will have no patience for attendees of their son, King Cairo’s baptism who plan on spilling details on the internet. According to Page Six, they’re making guests sign a non-disclosure agreement that carries a $500,000 fine if violated. The agreement also mandates that signees not speak badly about the couple afterward. Furthermore, the couple will be allowed to inspect all electronic devices brought into the space.

Tyga and Chyna finally settled their custody dispute over the 11-year-old, earlier this month. The decision to have their son baptized comes after Chyna did so herself back in March. She also now uses her legal name, Angela White, to refer to herself.

Chyna recently reflected on the custody battle during an interview with The Viall Files in October, revealing that she thinks the matter could’ve been resolved sooner. “For the first four years of Kingy’s life, I had him Monday through Friday,” she said. “And then that’s when I had became pregnant with Dream [her daughter with Robert Kardashian Jr.]. And it was like, the school and [being] pregnant and [in] a new relationship — it was a lot for me. So then that’s when our schedules had changed. You [Tyga] have obviously more money than me. Why can’t we just settle this stuff outside of court, like [by] talking to you? He didn’t wanna do that, so now I have to go to court. We just both don’t need this. … The whole world’s watching, and it’s like, ‘We could’ve just had a conversation, man.’”

This year, hip-hop culture celebrated its 50th anniversary. Each month has been filled with notable concerts, televised specials, and, most importantly, flower-giving to pioneers in the space. So, when an interview clip from HipHopDX (a fellow subsidiary of Warner Music Group) surfaced of Trina dubbing Beyoncé, the queen of rap, lovers of the genre were sent into a tailspin.

As a twenty-year veteran, fans wondered why she didn’t name herself, longtime friend Missy Elliott, or even former collaborators like Nicki Minaj during the chat. Users online began to speculate that there was a deeper reasoning behind her answer, specifically her not mentioning the latter. So, do Nicki Minaj and Trina have beef? According to Trina, the answer is no, but the Barbz beg to differ.

In a 2019 Instagram Live promoting their joint song “BAPS (Bad Ass Pretty Sagittarius),” Trina shut down the reports of friction between the two. “There is no beef between me and Nicki Minaj. There will be no disrespect for Nicki Minaj or nobody else that’s on my album,” said Trina.

However, during a Queen Radio episode following the song hit streaming platforms, Nicki Minaj revealed that members of Trina’s team did express frustration with her for not promoting the record to their standards and not working with them to film an official visual for the track given that she had for Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer.”

“I always show the same love to everybody anytime I do a song with somebody. I show love just because I appreciate being a part of their record. But, for [Trina’s] team or anybody’s team to feel like I owe you anything or to go out and disrespect me because I’m showing love to another female and you’re not gonna check them, that’s not cool,” said Nicki.

So, in the eyes of the Barbz, there could still be lingering animosity between the rappers, hence the inferred dig in the HipHopDX interview.

Chad Johnson Defends Russell Wilson

Chad Johnson called the NFL a “dirty business” after more information about the rift between Russell Wilson and the Broncos emerged. “It’s a dirty game but at the end of your day, you have to play the game your way,” Johnson lamented. Furthermore, Johnson’s comments come after Wilson confirmed speculation that the Broncos benched him because he refused to make significant adjustments to his contract. “They definitely told me I was going to be benched and all that. That whole bye week I didn’t know what was going to be the case. I wasn’t going to remove the injury guarantee, this game is such a physical game, I’ve played 12 years and all that. And I want to be able to play, I want to be able to help this team win. Every time I step on the field it’s a physical game. I never play timid; I never play scared,” Wilson confirmed to reporters Friday.

Specifically, as Wilson alluded to, the Broncos had wanted the veteran QB to defer an injury guarantee to 2025. Under the current language of Wilson’s contract, he would receive $37M in guaranteed money if he wasn’t able to pass a physical in March 2024. Meanwhile, head coach Sean Payton, who cited the desire to trigger an “offensive spark” when benching Wilson, denied any knowledge of the contract dispute. “I’m not privy to any of those [discussions], I’m handling the football. I know how this has been written. But this decision is strictly what I believe gives us a chance to win No. 8. Hard decision [but there] will be no other reasons,” Payton said.

In short, the Broncos owe Wilson a lot of money. As a result, benching him potentially saves them having to pay out even more money. However, the team can’t simply just cut the veteran. There is a lot of guaranteed money baked into Wilson’s contract that the Broncos will owe him either way. If they do cut Wilson, they will also be hit with $85M in dead money. That would greatly impact the options that would be available to Payton and the team in replacing Wilson.

However, it’s clear that Wilson isn’t the answer that the Broncos were hoping he would be. While his play has declined somewhat, he is not a terrible quarterback by any means. Despite this, the bigger problem is that the Broncos as a team unite. They have not been able to put together a team with consistent chemistry. The answer might be to reset completely and use their projected 13th-overall pick to draft the best available quarterback. That is currently projected to be Michigan’s JJ McCarthy or Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. Meanwhile, Wilson will likely be able to find a team. Atlanta, New York (Giants), or New England may all be looking for a veteran QB. However, this is a story that is likely going to play out for the coming months.
