C-Murder’s Alleged Murder Victim’s Brother Slams Kim Kardashian

The brother of C-Murder’s alleged murder victim, George Thomas, says that Kim Kardashian working to free the incarcerated rapper is a “slap in the face” to his family. Thomas spoke about Kardashian’s efforts during an appearance on BOSS TALK 101.

“It was a slap in the face to the family,” he said during the interview. “It’s a high-profile case, so you jumped on a case without reading all of the facts.” He added: “Had you done the research, you would say: ‘Hey, I’m not getting in this case.’ And then my family can’t properly mourn because every year — whether it’s BET, whether it’s something on YouTube, where there’s something else coming forward — it’s like it’s always he’s innocent, he was railroaded.”

Kim Kardashian Speaking Out On Second Chance Hiring

Kardashian has been actively working with Master P and others to spread awareness about C-Murder’s case. In August she shared an update on the situation in a lengthy statement on social media. “There is no remaining evidence that even suggests that Corey Miller is any more culpable than the hundreds of patrons who were at the Platinum Club on January 12, 2002, when Steve Thomas was tragically shot,” Kardashian wrote at the time. “Rather than search for the real perpetrator of the crime, the local sheriff’s office zeroed in on proving a case against Mr. Miller. The lead detective harassed multiple witnesses and mishandled the case to such a degree that the trial court had no choice but to grant Mr. Miller a new trial after he was convicted in 2003.”

George Thomas Calls Out Kim Kardashian

C-Murder was arrested in connection with the murder of 16-year-old Steve Thomas back in 2002. He was eventually found guilty and sentenced to life in prison on August 14, 2009.

Allen Hughes Knew Tupac Would Be Dead After The Release Of Hit Song

Allen Hughes continues to share behind-the-scenes information about his relationship with legendary rapper, Tupac Shakur. The filmmaker recently joined Michael Rapaport to talk about his rapport with the artist. HipHopDx shared some information about this discussion that reveals another dour claim around the world-stopping death of perhaps the most well-known and influential hip-hop artist of all time. Hughes is a very candid person, as we have known for quite some time now, and he was not afraid to share a prediction that might surprise you.

Both Rapaport and Hughes discuss one of Tupac’s biggest hits ever, “Hit ‘Em Up.” The director recalled the first time he listened to the extremely aggressive cut and he felt it had some severe underlying results. Hughes talked to Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine after he played it for him. We can only imagine the reaction Iovine had but Hughes said to him, “‘Him and 2Pac and/or Suge [Knight] would be dead in less than six months.’ Hughes continues, “And it wasn’t the words; it was the energy. It’s the power of how he did it — particularly the outro.”

This Is Not The First Time Allen Hughes Has Done This

We can see why Hughes feels this way, especially with the threatening lyrics from Tupac. For example, he proclaims, “Out here in California, n****, we warned ya / We’ll bomb on you motherf*****s! We do our job! / You think you mob? N****, we the motherf*****g mob!” Ironically Hughes made this statement a few days before the tragic day of September 7, 1996. But, this is not the only time Hughes has shared his thoughts on the never-ending mystery. Although, he does not believe it is a mystery. “In the community, as we know, and in the streets, there was never a mystery to who killed 2Pac. What happened that night at the MGM Grand Casino and that violent incident that 2Pac and gang had with that individual — again, that guy [supposedly Orlando Anderson], everyone knows, came back and shot 2Pac.”

Joseline Hernandez was easily one of the biggest stars on Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta during her run between 2012 and 2017. Overall, Love & Hip-Hop is one of the biggest reality TV series in America, and the Atlanta version has proven to be a success. That said, when you think of all of the talent on these shows, you would expect them to be paid accordingly. After all, doing reality TV can be seriously hard work. Recently, according to The Jasmine Brand, Hernandez recently sat down with Carlos King for a conversation about her life on LHHATL. As Hernandez explains, she was constantly being given raises for her work. However, there was good reason for this. Overall, she was the cast’s most popular personality, and the network wanted to keep her on board for many years. “Within the first week I went from making like $1,500 per episode to making $11,000 per episode,” she revealed. “In a week. I didn’t ask for them to bump me up, they bumped me up.”

She then continued about her salary trajectory and how it eventually reached $50K per episode. “Then second season, I was making like $15,000, and then like by the end of second season I went up to like $20,000…they just kept bumping me up,” Hernandez says. “They was just throwing money at me they was like ‘we don’t want her not to come to work’…they would just bump me up. They did that for years.” Considering the amount of episodes in a season, Hernandez could make close to $2 million per year. Moreover, she was getting a bonus that was close to $250K, every single season. Needless to say, she was bringing home a lot of cash.

Sean Payton Puts Russell Wilson On Blast For Lack Of Football Focus

Many view Sean Payton as the savior of the Denver Broncos. The veteran head coach came out of retirement to try and fix a Broncos team that hasn’t had a winning season since 2016. While a revolving door at quarterback hasn’t helped that situation, the franchise appears to be cursed after not even bringing in Russell Wilson helped right the ship.

In a comedy of errors that proves satirical writing is dead, the Broncos went 5-12 with Wilson under center in 2022. If that wasn’t bad enough, they didn’t even have the high first-round draft pick that would usually have afforded them because they had traded it to the Seahawks for Wilson. Now Payton has taken the reins and is already bringing his hard-nosed attitude to the Mile High City.

Payton Doesn’t Have Time For Wilson’s Antics

In a recently published ESPN+ profile of Payton, Seth Wickersham revealed that Payton may already be at odds with his new QB. “He told Wilson that to salvage his career he needed to focus less on Russell Inc. “Will you fucking stop kissing all the babies?” he said. “You’re not running for public office.” It’s no secret that Wilson has leaned hard into his off-field ventures in recent years. Who can forget the bizarre and much-mocked Subway commercial? However, it’s clear that Payton, who coached Drew Brees to a Super Bowl, wants Wilson to be a football player first and a brand sponsor second.

Most experts see the Broncos improving on 2022 but not becoming a winning team just yet. For example, Fox Sports has the Broncos winning seven games in year one of the Payton Project. While it’s unlikely that 7-10 would be good enough for the top two in the draft, it might be enough to give the Broncos trade material to go after their QB of the future. The 2024 draft is highlighted by USC’s Caleb Williams and North Carolina’s Drake Maye. However, it appears that Payton views the main obstacle as Wilson’s lack of focus on football. SOURCE SPORTS: James Harden Tells 76ers to Build Team and Give Him "Whatever is Left" in New Contract

Much to his chagrin, James Harden is still a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. Harden has openly expressed his desire to be traded from the Sixers, claiming the Los Angeles Clippers are his preferred landing spot.

In a new story on ESPN, Senior Writer Ramona Shelburne details a rocky season in the city of Brotherly Love, where some of his behavior put off then-coach Doc Rivers and Harden’s teammates.

In mid-December, Rivers lit into Harden for taking the final three shots in regulation of a double-overtime loss to the young and lottery-bound-again Rockets, sources said. It wasn’t that Rivers didn’t trust Harden to take the final three shots — he had allowed him to run the offense and call his own number on the final play of regulation by not calling a timeout following a defensive rebound. It’s that the Rockets had no answer for Embiid (39 points) all night and Harden wasn’t shooting well (4-for-19).

When questioned in the film session, Harden demurred, saying he just couldn’t get the ball to Embiid, sources said. These flare-ups between Harden and Rivers continued throughout the season.

After dropping back-to-back games to East contenders, Harden took an early flight to Miami, separate from the team, to enjoy nightlife. The move was stated to be a common practice for Harden but did not sit well with his teammates. A team meeting followed, leading to a win against the HEAT but a run that would include another second-round playoff ousting and Rivers being fired. The main reason Rivers is tossed is believed to be because Harden didn’t want to play for him in the future.

The NBA has fined James Harden $100,000 for August 14 and 17 comments against Daryl Morey and calling for a trade. The NBA’s note states Harden’s comments lead to believe he would not perform under his contract unless he plays for a team different than the Philadelphia 76ers.

The NBA revealed they investigated Harden, including an interview, before arriving at their final decision.

Earlier this month, the Philadelphia 76ers called off all trade talks involving James Harden and stated they would expect Harden to be at training camp. Early Monday morning, NBA Insider Shams Charania shared a video from Harden’s China tour for Adidas in which he blasts 76ers president Daryl Morey. Morey and Harden have a relationship dating back to the Houston Rockets.

“Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of,” Harden told those gathered. “Let me say that again: Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of.”

On Saturday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski ended trade talks for Harden, who has a preferred destination of the Los Angeles Clippers. Harden picked up his $35.6 million player option but the Sixers’ request for Harden was too high for most bidders.

Happy 58th Birthday To The Juice Crew’s MC Shan!

Sean Moltke, aka MC Shan of QB’s Juice Crew, turns 58 today.

The first solo MC with a major release from the “infamous” Queensbridge Projects celebrates his 58th birthday today. MC Shan was at the top of his game during Hip Hop’s “Golden Era,” along with crewmates Roxanne Shante, Craig G, Tragedy, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Masta Ace, and of course DJ Marley Marl, who formed The Juice Crew. Shan’s first album, Down By Law, was a hit among Hip Hop aficionados of the 80s, with his epic battle against KRS-1 and Boogie Down Productions was one of the greatest crew beefs in Hip Hop all time. BDP vs. Juice Crew is a prime example of a good, healthy beef that stayed on wax and even managed to morph into a Sprite commercial featuring Shan and Kris.

Mike Williams, Former Buccaneers And Bills Wide Receiver, Dies In Construction Accident

Mike Williams, a former college standout who played five years in the NFL, has been reported to have died at the age of 36. Williams played college football at Syracuse, where he remains 7th in career receiving yards. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Following an electric rookie year, he came within 100 yards of a 1000-yard season on two separate occasions, 2010 and 2012. He finished second in Rookie of the Year voting behind Sam Bradford. He was traded to the Bills ahead of the 2014 but only made eight catches in nine games and was cut. While he, briefly attempted to make a comeback in 2016, he was cut by the Chiefs during training camp.

According to a GoFundMe set up to help Williams’ family, he was struck in the head by a steel beam on September 1. Williams had been working in Tampa and that is where he was hospitalized and later died, according to the GoFundMe launched by his mother.

Teammates Mourn Mike Williams

“Dang man hurts my heart seeing the news of my former teammate and Buccaneers 2010 draft class brother Mike Williams. “Always great energy brought joy and laughter to the locker room and a heck of a player!! Prayers and blessings to his family!!,” Williams’ Bucs teammate Gerald McCoy wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “The top two receivers on the 2012 Bucs were Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams, combined for 17 touchdowns that season. Neither of them made it to 40 — Jackson lost at 38, Williams at 36. Just tragic,” added Fox Sports’ Greg Auman.

Neither the Bucs nor Syracuse have released a statement about Williams’ passing. However, social media has been filled with fans lamenting his passing. One blog described him as “never scoring a boring touchdown” while many were shocked to see someone they had enjoyed watching die at such a young age. Williams may not have had the longest NFL career. However, it was a career that clearly touched the lives of many people. Rest in peace, Mike.

In August, Elon Musk declared of X (formerly Twitter), “Block is going to be deleted as a ‘feature’, except for DMs,” adding, “It makes no sense.” That has left X/Twitter icon Dionne Warwick scratching her head, and she’s like to have a chat with Musk about what’s going on.

When asked by People about Musk’s desire to remove the ability to block X/Twitter users, Warwick responded, “I have yet to speak to that young man and I intend to because I am not quite sure what he’s doing or if he knows what he’s doing. So until that happens, I’ll reserve my answer to that question.”

Warwick also spoke about a potential chat with Musk back in December, saying, “I have to meet him. I know a lot of people have walked away from Twitter. That’s prior to knowing exactly what he’s going to do. He’s new to the game. His attitude is freedom of speech, which is mine as well. However, there’s a way to do it. That’s one of the conversations I’m going to have with him. What is your true intent? I understand your freedom of speech attitude but how are you going to contain it, so it does not get out of hand?”

Janet Jackson Reacts After Barbz Claim She Threw Shade At Nicki Minaj

Misunderstandings are common in the world of social media but once stan culture gets involved, tensions could rise rapidly. That is especially the case whenever the Barbz come along. Most recently, Janet Jackson nearly found herself in the crosshairs of Nicki Minaj’s dedicated fanbase. The Barbz came out in droves after the Control singer shared a photo of herself in a white jacket. The tweet also included a gif of Black-ish star Marsai Martin putting on a pair of shades with the caption simply reading, “#fashhhionn.”

None of this seems problematic to the average person but the Barbz are a detail-oriented bunch. Just days prior, Nicki Minaj shared one of two possible covers for her upcoming album, Pink Friday 2, revealing the Queen rapper donning a white jacket. So, the Barbz called out Janet Jackson in an attempt to defend Nicki Minaj but what they got instead was a measured response from a legend in the music industry who undoubtedly paved the way for the “Barbie World” rapper in the first place.

Janet Jackson’s Response

The tweets surrounding Jackson’s supposed shade garnered significant attention across social media. The Barbz passionately defended Nicki while others explained that the white jacket was a mere coincidence. Eventually, the discourse landed on Jackson’s radar and she set the record straight. “It’s a shame that people want to pit one artist against another,” she wrote in response to a fan who said Jackson was “showing off her fashion.” Moreover, the R&B legend actually liked the post of Nicki’s cover art.

Evidently, Janet Jackson holds no negativity towards Nicki Minaj. The Queens native later paid her respect toward Jackson, quoting the tweet and writing, “Icon. Legend. Royalty. The original definition of #ICanBeAllTheWayCoveredItsSTILLgivingSEXY.” With Pink Friday 2 set to drop later this year, perhaps, we might catch Nicki Minaj and Janet Jackson on the same song soon.
