Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs’ Release Date May Have Been Revealed With A Little Help From The Rapper’s Braids

Take the following news with a grain of salt. We may finally have an idea of when Drake’s new album For All The Dogs is scheduled to come out. While previously speculated dates turned out to be very wrong — and we were admonished that we should really know better by Lil Yachty, of all people — people just can’t help but try to predict Drake’s moves like whodunit fans trying to guess the murderer before the investigators figure it out.

This time, the clues come in the form of some fascinating hair decorations. Drake’s been sporting braids lately, and was seen backstage at his latest It’s All A Blur show with a collection of brightly colored number barrettes dangling from them. There’s a zero, a nine, and two twos, which fans have interpreted as “09/22” — i.e. September 22, the possible release date for Drake’s hotly anticipated eighth studio album.

If the project should drop on September 22 as conjectured by fans, that gives Drake a little over two weeks to drop a single or reveal the tracklist and features for it. So far, the only things we know for sure are that his son Adonis drew the cover art and his longtime friend Nicki Minaj is set to appear on it. It looks like we’ll see whether the album is really due on 9/22 sooner or later, but Drake’s fans may want to hold off on getting too excited until he explicitly states when the album is dropping.

Spotify Confirmed They’re Testing Putting A Feature That’s Currently Free Behind A Premium Paywall

Spotify announced recently that they’re considering putting one of the most-loved user features behind a paywall — making it so only Premium subscribers can access. According to Billboard, the streaming company confirmed that as a test, they will be hiding the lyrics to songs from users in some areas who are not subscribed.

“At Spotify, we routinely conduct a number of tests, some of those tests end up paving the way for our broader user experience and others serve only as an important learning,” a company spokesperson told the publication. “In keeping with our standard practices, we’re currently testing this with a limited number of users in a pair of markets. We don’t have any further news to share at this time.”

Right now, the lyrics appear for most songs through the app, when users scroll up. Those in the free-with-advertisements tier were alerted of the potential paywall change coming, as people reportedly pointed it out on social media.

Even those subscribed to Premium don’t seem too pleased with the change. “Why would people have to pay for it when lyrics are frequently wrong, the sync is usually off by a line or two/not available, and many songs don’t even have lyrics shown,” one user asked.

Others jokingly pointed out that people can just google the lyrics to songs for free — defeating the point of trying to get more subscribers.

Jake Paul Pummels Adin Ross In Sparring Session

Jake Paul has become the latest fighter to humble Adin Ross. Ross has been on an IRL stream tour as of late, with a focus on sparring with a number of high-profile fighters. None of them have gone well for him. He lasted just 36 seconds against Ryan Garcia. Furthermore, he told Dillon Danis that he had “shit his pants” during their sparring session. The problem is that Ross does not appear to take the sparring seriously. Every video sees him talk a big game and then immediately start cowering and trying to laugh it off as “just jokes” when his opponent actually attempts to put him through his paces.

Furthermore, in the videos circulating of his stream with Paul, Ross drops his guard so quickly that Paul nearly clocks him with a hook to the jaw. However, Paul is able to pull the punch in time and instead uses it to push Ross into the corner. A doubled-over Ross attempts to charge Paul, who neatly sidesteps out of the way before working Ross again. In the final clip of the video, shared by Happy Punch on X, Paul works Ross against the ropes with easy before dropping him to the mat.

Maybe Adin Ross Should Stop Trying To Spar With Actual Boxers

It is painfully clear at this point that Adin Ross has absolutely no business being inside a boxing ring. For all this trash talk and peacocking, he immediately loses it all when even mildly challenged by an actual boxer. It’s just another thing to add to this sad streamer’s resume. It really drives home that Ross may cosplay the lifestyle but at the end of the day, he really ain’t shit.

However, it’s not the first time in recent weeks that Ross has been checked by the reality of his situation. During a call with Fousey last week, Ross became outraged to learn that Fousey had been texting with Ross’ sister Naomi. Despite the texts not being particularly egregious, Ross threw a massive tantrum. Going off Ross’ reaction alone, you’d think that Fousey was fucking Naomi right in front of him. But no, Ross has recently seen his whole facade collapse recently. He’s just a guy who found fame streaming online and running his mouth. Additionally, Travis Scott’s manager recently told him that he aint’ shit and considered a literal brand risk.

Luka Doncic And Dillon Brooks Both Ejected From Canada-Slovenia World Cup Match

Canada secured a place in the FIBA World Cup semifinals on September 6 with a 100-89 victory over Slovenia. It marks the first-ever semifinal appearance for Canada, whose previous benchmark was sixth-place finishes in 1978 and 1982. It once again showed the might of Canada’s current golden generation. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put up 31 points while RJ Barrett added another 24. Slovenia had been attempting to reach its first semifinal since becoming an independent nation in 1991. However, they simply didn’t have the firepower to match the Canadian output. Luka Dončić had 26 points for Slovenia.

However, Dončić was ejected partway through the second half. The Mavericks star had been chirping at the refs all night over various calls and non-calls. With 6:37 remaining, the officiating team had had enough and issued Dončić his second technical of the game. The Slovenian star returned to the court in flip-flops after the final buzzer to congratulate the Canadian players.

Dillon Brooks Also Ejected

However, Dončić wasn’t the only NBA star who left the game earlier. Dillon Brooks, the newly acquired Houston Rocket, left the game shortly before Dončić did. Like Luka Dončić, Brooks was booted after picking up his second technical of the game. It’s unknown at this time whether Brooks will be available for selection against Serbia later this week.

The result was a crushing blow to Slovenia, who went into the half tied at 50. However, Canada opened the third period with a 19-5 run and never looked back. They will now face Serbia for a place in the final. If they can overcome another Eastern European powerhouse, they will face either the US or Germany in the final. All four semifinalists have booked their place at the Olympic tournament next summer in Paris. While Canada won a basketball silver medal at the 1936 Games in Berlin, the 2024 Olympics will mark just their third appearance at the Games since 1984. Do you think Canada can go all the way? Travis Scott Was At The Same Beyonce Show As Kylie Jenner And Timothee Chalamet

While there’s always plenty of reason for excitement on Beyonce’s Renaissance tour, there was also reason for drama during a recent series of LA shows. The mega-star has been attracting big names to her concerts all summer and in the always star-studded Loa Angeles that was even clearer. Musicians like SZA, GloRilla, and City Girls showed out alongside reality stars like Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, even Prince Harry and Megan Markle made it out to a show. But it was one couple in particular in attendance that everyone was paying attention to.

After months of speculation Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet made their public debut as a couple during one of Beyonce’s LA shows. Subsequently videos shared of the event caught the couple getting up close and personal and even sharing a kiss. While that already caught plenty of attention, fans put two and two together when videos of Kylie’s ex Travis Scott were also shared from the exact same concert. Scott was seen running into Lil Durk and Jay-Z in the crowd and it’s unclear if the parties involved even knew that each other were there. Check out the video of Travis Scott at the show below.

Travis Scott Could Have Run Into Ex Kylie Jenner

It’s probably for the best that Travis Scott didn’t run into the couple. He’s expressed some negative feelings for Chalamet in the past. Consequently, he took shots at his ex-girlfriend’s new man on one of the tracks from his recently released album UTOPIA. In the song, he takes aim at Chalamet for his starring role in the upcoming WONKA film.

That highly anticipated new album has earned some praise from high places. Drake himself called UTOPIA the best album on the market. That will probably only be his take until he drops his own new project For All The Dogs. The album is expected later this month. What do you think about Travis Scott going to the same Beyonce show as Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet? Let us know in the comment section below.

Nicki Minaj Reaches Historic Spotify Milestone

Nicki Minaj has become the first female rapper in history to have 75 songs surpass 100 million streams on Spotify. According to Hip Hop All Day, the next highest artist is Doja Cat with 39 overall. The feat comes after her Beam Me Up Scotty song, “Seeing Green,” featuring Drake and Lil Wayne cracked 100 million streams. Its success was fueled by a reissue of the 2009 mixtape by Minaj in 2021.

Minaj recently discussed the success of Beam Me Up Scotty on streaming services during a rant on Twitter, back in July. “Let’s not forget beam me up scotty doing 80K first week. A mixtape with 12 year old songs that were free to listen to on YouTube so glad Drizzy gave me that pep talk when he sent me #SeeingGreen so glad Weezy sent me a voice note rapping when I needed it.”

The continued dominance of Nicki Minaj comes ahead of the release of her next album, Pink Friday 2, which will be dropping later this year. She released a new single from the effort, “Last Time That I Saw You,” last Friday. While discussing the track with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, she explained that she didn’t plan on releasing it as a single initially.

“This time when I heard the beat, the first thing I did was I wrote the hook. And when I wrote the hook, to me, it felt it was… The vibe of it was really talking about a loss, a real loss you know. But to not make the song feel only directed at one kind of loss. When I wrote the singing verse, I tried to expand it and think even about relationships,” she explained. “And then by the time I got to the rap, it was like I had included all relationships that I had lost before, because I mentioned even best friends and stuff like that. I just wanted the next song that I put out, Zane, to represent my growth, but not just as an artist, but as a human being. I’ve experienced so many things that I hadn’t experienced five years ago, and that’s just the truth.” Be on the lookout for the rest of Pink Friday 2 on November 17, 2023.

Drake Says He Would Live In Phoenix For At Least A Month

Drake always knows how to get his fans uncontrollably excited. Whether it is teasing albums, bringing out special guests for his shows, or saying anything really, the Six God has that type of effect. People are really buzzing about him right now because of his next album, For All The Dogs. So much information has come out throughout the past few months, but alas the project is not out just yet. The original rumored date was August 25, when Amazon Music was hinting at it on Twitter.

The music world was highly disappointed, but Drizzy never actually confirmed the reports to begin with. At one of his shows, he addressed the issue. “I know everybody’s upset because I didn’t drop my album last night. I didn’t say it was dropping last night. So don’t be mad at me. I just said it was coming soon,” he said. Hopefully, it does drop soon, as we recently discovered a unique tease of a possible release date from Drake’s IG. In other news from the other night during The Boy’s show, he made a statement during his performance in Glendale, Arizona.
