Central Cee Releases His Highly-Anticipated New Project “23”

One of the most exciting new rappers in the UK right now is Central Cee. Since the top of the year, he’s been dumping out new singles in anticipation of his forthcoming album. “Khabib,” “Retail Therapy,” “Straight Back To It,” and “Cold Shoulder” kicked off the campaign, and now, he’s delivered 23 in its entirety. Cee puts his street tales to high-energy drill bangers with minimal features.

“I locked myself away in the studio for about two weeks,” he told Apple Music about his official debut. “I don’t really enjoy spending days in the studio much, but we set up a really good creative space, with all of my guys, a few that make music, too. So there we were: all being productive, and getting it.”

Chief Keef Responds After Twitter Users Nominate Him For Russia-Ukraine War

Can Chief Keef save us from World War 3? Twitter users certainly think so…

On Friday (February 25), the Chicago rapper’s name started trending on Twitter and it’s not because of his music. It’s actually because, through no fault of his own, the internet decided to nominate him for World War 3, unanimously deciding to send the drill rapper to Ukraine to fight off Vladimir Putin and Russia’s soldiers following this week’s invasion of the country.

If you click into the “Chief Keef” trend on the social media platform, you will immediately notice a large number of memes and jokes suggesting that the rapper will be sent to Ukraine to help fight off an impending world war. Some cleverly edited photos actually show him in battle as fans are convinced that the Glo Gang general can save us from doom and terror.

The memes went viral enough for the 26-year-old rapper to catch onto the trend, joking that he’s packing his bags and flying off to Ukraine.

“On the way to Ukraine,” wrote Keef on Instagram alongside a gun emoji.

Do you think that Chief Keef has what it takes to save the world from disaster? Let us know in the comments and scroll below to check out some of the most popular jokes involving Chief Keef heading to Ukraine.

Wendy Williams Rumored To Be On the Verge of a Podcast Deal

wendy williams309

The Wendy Williams Show may be gone, for now, but that’s not the end of Wendy. According to TheJasmineBrand, Williams is currently staring down a multi-million dollar podcast deal.

On Fox Soul, host Al Reynolds spoke to the forthcoming deal, citing it as “word on the streets,” emphasizing the credibility of the murmurs by stating “these are the deep deep streets.”

He added, “Now, we know that Spotify gave Joe Rogan $100 million. Everybody know that you heard it first right here on ‘Fox Soul,’ that I think that Wendy Williams is up to something and that’s why she’s not posting or anything. I think this is a lead-up to a bigger announcement that we’re going to see coming down the pipe on her newfound home.”

In fall 2022, Sherri Shepherd will officially host her own talk show. Titled Sherri, the show will replace The Wendy Williams Show. According to Variety, Williams is currently battling health-related issues. Sherri will be produced by the same company behind Wendy Williams, Debmar-Mercury of Lionsgate. During her hiatus, Shepherd has been one of many guest hosts that have rotated throughout the season. Sherri Shepherd will executive produce her new show with her producing partner, Jawn Murray. The Wendy Williams Show executive producer and showrunner, David Perler, will join Sherri.

Last week, Williams made headlines when she filed a lawsuit against Wells Fargo over claims made by a former employee who claimed Wendy Williams denied her access to “Wendy’s financial matters.”

According to the lawsuit, the bank withheld access to her “financial assets for weeks without presenting her or her counsel with an acceptable reason or evidence to support its judgment.” Wells Fargo is also accused of failing to honor her power of attorney, prompting Williams to pursue a restraining order against the bank. Williams also asked the court to “reopen any frozen accounts or assets” and provide him “access to all associated statements.” Williams also requested that the bank be barred from “freezing any and all assets including funds that have been withdrawn and/or withheld.”

Today in Hip-Hop History: Boogie Down Productions Dropped Their ‘Sex And Violence’ Album 29 Years Ago

On this date in 1993, KRS-One and the rest of the Boogie Down Productions crew dropped the Sex And Violence album, which was the fifth and last album put out by the pioneering Bronx-based Hip Hop collective.

The album produced less than lackluster sales, partially, according to KRS, because of his incident where he threw PM Dawn rapper Prince B off the stage during one of their performances. Kris also used this album to address his beef with X-Clan because of KRS’ proclamation of humanism rather than embracing X-Clan’s aggressive form of Afrocentricity.

This album touched on many of the social issues of the time, including the rape trial of Mike Tyson on “Say Gal,” “Build And Destroy,” where he addressed his humanist views and “13 And Good,” where Kris talks about the commonality of statutory rape.

Salute to “The Teacher” and the rest of BDP including Prince Paul, Heather B and Kenny Parker for making this album an underground classic!
