GoldLink Announces New Album With Single “White Walls”

GoldLink has come through to deliver his new single “White Walls,” which arrives complete with some trippy visuals and a hard-hitting beat by Rio. It’s certainly an interesting direction for the Washington artist, who slides over the urgent synthesizers with frantic energy.

“My hotel bigger than your house, rode to the bounce, sell ’em by the ounce,” he raps, his voice tinged in slight overdrive. “I don’t do that, sell by the pound / Sex with me, go four rounds.” GoldLink opts to take a laid-back approach insofar as the song’s structure is concerned, though that’s no to say he’s resting on his laurels. Case in point, a dagger aimed firmly at Sheck Wes and tossed with serious intent.

Though Link only delivers a single verse, it’s evident that he’s in an interesting place creatively. Overall, “White Walls” feels closer to a warm-up for things to come, and one has to wonder if he’ll be exploring this sound further on his upcoming album Haram, which is set to land on June 18th. Check out the tracklist for that below, and be sure to sound off with your comments if you’re excited for new GoldLink.

Paul George Roasted With “Pandemic P” Jokes After Clippers Loss

The Los Angeles Clippers bounced back to win their first-round matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, and even some of biggest social media targets on the team had people raving about how well they played. Most notably, it looked like Paul George was turning a new leaf, playing to his superstar potential. Fans even started joking that his disrespectful “Pandemic P” nickname, which trolls gave him during last year’s playoffs, had been passed on to Kristaps Porzingis. One game into the Clippers’ second-round series against the Utah Jazz and he’s officially earned the moniker again.

Immediately following last night’s Game 1 loss to the Jazz, “Pandemic P” began trending on social media with sports commentators and fans making fun of the 31-year-old hoops star. Finishing the game with 20 points and 10 rebounds on 4-17 shooting, PG13’s stats weren’t that bad. He could have shot more consistently but with a double-double, he still had a decent game. Skip Bayless and others took the time to challenge George to be better though, coming through with jokes as the Clippers look to come back in the next game.

“Right on schedule: Paul George turns into George Paul, Pandemic P, shrinking in the Round 2 spotlight,” wrote Bayless on Twitter.

Do you think Paul George will bounce back for a monster game in Game 2? Or do you think the Utah Jazz has this series in the bag? Check out some of the most popular “Pandemic P” memes below.

Bow Wow Clarifies It’s All Love Between Him & Soulja Boy

Bow Wow and Soulja Boy are set to face off in the next coming weeks for a Verzuz match. Ahead of their highly-anticipated showdown, the duo has been trading some lighthearted shots to build up anticipation for the show. The “She Make It Clap” artist has even bet to give up the pink slip to his Lamborghini if Bow Wow were to win the match.

Of the many parts of each other’s persons they’ve clowned, perhaps the most explosive has been when Bow Wow mocked Draco’s hairline after he inquired how the former 106 & Park host “got so lame.” Soulja followed up shortly after with a video taking a dig at Bow Wow’s net worth and living situation. Now, Bow is taking a moment to remind folks that it’s all just banter.

Pooh Shiesty Facing 20 Years Over Miami Shooting Charge: Report

Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty is reportedly facing a mandatory minimum sentence of twenty years after being charged with aggravated battery for his alleged role in a Miami nightclub shooting. The rapper was reportedly being escorted out of King Of Diamonds by security guards when a stack of money fell from his pants. An altercation happened and Shiesty allegedly fired his gun at the floor, which struck a security guard in the ankle.

According to lawyer Moe Gangat, the 1017-aligned artist will face a judge this week, where it will be determined whether he gets released on bond. Gangat said in a video posted to Instagram that Shiesty has a good chance at getting out. He will reportedly be facing the same judge in Florida that he previously had a few months ago. He was released on more serious charges then.

Benny The Butcher & Harry Fraud Return With “Sink”

This song may not be brand new, but some fans have yet to hear it. Back in March, Benny The Butcher and Harry Fraud lit up the scene with the release of their joint project The Plugs I Met 2, and it quickly became an album that Hip Hop heads had on heavy rotation. Fraud’s production was praised as it paired perfectly with the New York rapper’s applauded lyrical prowess, and now they’re back with the official release of one of the album’s tracks, “Sink.”

For those that obtained a physical copy of The Plugs I Met 2, you’d know that “Sink” makes an appearance on the tracklist as an additional song. However, it was only recently added to DSPs, so all fans can enjoy the single on their favorite streaming service. “While it’s not ‘officially’ on the project, due to the fact that [the song] was so popular with fans who had heard it, we always intended for all of our fans to have an opportunity to hear it, and add to your library,” the pair of artists shared in a joint statement, according to 2DopeBoyz

Quotable Lyrics

You was in the group of rappers with the fake watches
This the flow that got my side of the state poppin’
The trap small but it jump like Isaiah Thomas (Ugh)
I’m gettin’ letters from the legends in the federal pen

Yaya Mayweather & Jania Meshell Spotted Laughing In The Pool Together

Two of NBA YoungBoy’s baby mamas have come together for what looks to be a relaxing vacation. Regardless of how their relationships with YoungBoy have unfolded, Yaya Mayweather and Jania Meshell are dedicated to the rapper. So much so that if they’re out at a function and a song by one of YoungBoy’s alleged foes happens to play over the speakers, the ladies have been captured either stopping themselves from dancing or yelling for the song to be changed.

It was just a little over two years ago that Jania gave birth to her son Kacey and back in January, Yaya welcomed Kentrell Jr. While other rappers’ baby mama are often at odds, these ladies look to be friends that can enjoy a little R&R while YoungBoy continues to fight his case.

Back in March, NBA YoungBoy was arrested by federal authorities in Los Angeles and has been hit with charges related to firearms possession. His attorneys have been working diligently so that the rapper can taste freedom sooner than later, and although he’s behind bars, YoungBoy has continued to release new music while keeping his fans updated.

His most recent message revealed that he is reportedly expecting his eighth child with his girlfriend Jazlyn Mychelle. Check out Yaya and Jania enjoying each other’s company below.

Hip-Hop Festival JMBLYA Is Expanding To Nationwide Stops Including Boston, San Francisco And Phoenix

Now that festivals are officially back, the biggest hip-hop event in Texas — where else would it be? — is expanding beyond the state’s borders come Fall 2021. JMBLYA Fest will now travel outside of its home in the Lone Star state, beginning with an initial date on Labor Day weekend near Fayetteville, Arkansas then move back to Texas for stops in Dallas and Austin, and finally begin a first-time run through hubs on both coasts in Boston, Maine and San Francisco, California with a final stop in Phoenix, Arizona.

Anchored by artists like Future, Gunna, and Lil Tecca, along with The Kid LaRoi and Flo Milli, the event has been one of the biggest and longest running hip-hop festivals in Texas since 2013. “Our business has always been about providing something different,” he said in a press release. “JMBLYA going nationwide is the culmination of the idea of bringing an affordably priced festival experience to markets that don’t have something like it. We are known for curated events that pair big-name acts with future superstars. If you look back on our lineups, you’ll see that many of the openers we book later go on to become headliners. Save that lineup tee. See y’all soon.”

Offset “Likes” Tweet Suggesting Saweetie Is Dating A Basketball Star

Ever since Saweetie and Quavo called it quits, the internet has been gossiping about the “My Type” rapper having a new beau. Saweetie has repeatedly been asked about her love life post-Quavo, and each time she’s insisted that she’s single and not ready to mingle. Last month she told E!’s Nightly Pop, “What is my love life like? It’s the pillows, the studio, and putting more money into my bank account.”

She suggested that because relationships take so much work, she’s using this time to get back in touch with herself, but the internet has been spreading rumors that Saweetie has been quietly dating a basketball star.

A Twitter user wrote, “Now why tf are people saying saweetie and james harden fw each other…” before mentioning they saw the rumor on Instagram. However, Offset’s “like” didn’t go unnoticed, and soon users were commenting on the rapper’s attention. Check it out below.
