K. Michelle Responds To Selfie Backlash: “I Haven’t Did Nothing To My Face”

After her latest selfies took the internet by surprise, K. Michelle has returned to talk about the reactions to her look. The award-winning singer dropped off a few stunning photos of herself rocking pink hair, but it wasn’t her coif that caught attention. It didn’t take long for people to draw comparisons to photos of the singer back in her Love & Hip Hop days long ago, and some people insisted that K. Michelle had undergone cosmetic surgery.

However, the singer took to Instagram Live to deny the allegations while accusing people of bullying. “Clearly it’s me,” she said in the video. “I’ve been this color forever. I’ve clearly been doing a TV show… I’ve been in the studio every day. I don’t know possibly when I would have had time to get a facelift or—in two days when y’all have seen me already on live.”

“Yeah, I have hair, I have makeup, lighting, people shooting and stuff for me,” she continued. “Y’all are crazy. Do you see this is me? At first, I was just like, ‘Oh, okay. Let me just ignore it or whatever ’cause that’s just how people are.’ But you’re f*cking bullying somebody. What if somebody f*ckin’ had problems? I’m the person trying to help people with plastic surgery. I haven’t did nothing. I haven’t did nothing to my face. Y’all should stop that.”

“Why are you worried about my face, man? I’m feeling good. I’m looking good,” said the singer. K. Michelle spoke about being harassed by strangers online regarding her reconstructive surgeries, as well, as she continued to double down on not altering her face. Check out the video below to hear K. Michelle defend herself and read through a few reactions.

Saweetie is stepping up to lend a helping hand to her Asian American community. The rapper, who is of Filipino descent, announced that she is teaming up with Gen. G, the leading esports company that connects the United States to Asia, for a string of workshops. The Icy Baby Workshops begin next week and see the rapper learning skills and covering topics that include gaming, cooking, music, lifestyle, and fashion, and beauty.

According to Revolt, Saweetie’s overall goal is to bring awareness to both AAPI entrepreneurs and her Icy Baby Foundation, her non-profit that aims to inspire “Black, brown and other underserved youth through financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and technology training.” Saweetie also spoke about the workshops in a press release.

The first lesson will see her beside Twitch chef Triciaisabirdy and DJ Bella Fiasco as they dive into a discussion about food. On June 16, she will discuss fashion and beauty and the next day her conversation will be focused on gaming.

Bow Wow Rejects Revival Of “106 & Park”: “BET Just Don’t Get It”

He was once vying for an executive position with BET, but it looks as if that ship has sailed for Bow Wow. Like many veteran rappers, Bow Wow is interested in continuing his legacy not only in the studio but the boardroom. All those years ago, Bow graced our television screens as a host of 106 & Park, and he was hoping to revive the network by adding his name to their list of top executives.

“My only dream job now is i want to take over BET. I want a high position,” the rapper tweeted back in December 2020. “I was blessed to host but NOW i want an office. I want to run and come up with content for the network. I know what they missing. All you have to do is LISTEN to the people.”

“BET forgot what made them HOT! The MUSIC!!! breaking artist etc… music shows that mattered,” he continued. Six months later, a fan checked in to see if he was still working on getting 106 & Park back on the air. Unfortunately, the Twitter user was met with bad news.

“Naw… BET just dont get it and they never will. Love them to death and will always support,” Bow tweeted earlier this week. “They need help and they needed Bad! I tried.” Some Hip Hop fans questioned if the show would work in today’s music climate while others are holding out hope for a revival.

Check out the tweet below and let us know if you agree with Bow Wow that BET needs help.

Nicki Minaj’s Husband Requesting Trial Delay, Says He’s Unprepared

Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, is facing more prison time after he failed to register as a sex offender when he and his bride first moved to California from New York. After months of media attention on the case, he is still not prepared to go to trial. Petty spent four years locked up after being convicted in 1995 for first-degree attempted rape, leading to the sex offender label.

Petty was arrested and released on a $100,000 bail after he did not register in Los Angeles. He has requested a continuance in his trial for his recent misdemeanor, as he believes it would not be a fair trial otherwise. The trial was originally supposed to start June 29th, but according to documents obtained by Radar, Petty has asked the judge to push it back a few months. He is asking for extra time so that his attorneys can review the evidence in his criminal case. The evidence reportedly includes 800 pages worth of reports, audio recordings, videos, and other discovery items.

Minaj has supported her husband and stood by him throughout all of the recent allegations and legal drama, even with his previous conviction and criminal charges, claiming he is a changed man and takes good care of her and their son.

As of right now, the judge has yet to make a ruling on Petty’s request. See how the public first reacted to Kenneth Petty’s criminal charges here

Nicki Minaj Is Over Twitter: “Just A Bunch Of Corny Debates All Day”

It’s Polo G’s big night as he prepares for the release of Hall of Fame, but the Barbz are impatiently awaiting one track on the record. Nicki Minaj has been helping Polo G promote his project—an album that includes a feature from the Queen rapper on “For the Love of New York.” It’s a coveted look because not everyone can get vocals from Nicki, but she has expressed her excitement for her fellow New York artists.

Responses to the collaboration have caused the “Seeing Green” emcee to drop off a few thoughts on Twitter to make sure that the public isn’t misconstruing things. “Chile raise ya hand if u know the diff between a Nicki song & a Nicki feature,” she wrote. “Raise your hand if u know the diff between a mixtape song, album cut & an album single. I-[raised eyebrow emoji] when was the last time I put out an album single? Eat ya food. Can’t wait to bump #ForTheLoveOfNewYork.”

As people responded to that tweet, a fan wanted to know why Nicki was spending more time on TikTok than Twitter. “Cuz Twitter ain’t rlly fun nomo,” she said. “Just a bunch of corny debates all day & night chile… energy is too precious to waste on ppl or things u don’t like. Life is so much more fulfilling when u give ur energy to what & who you love. Imagine talkn bout ya opps all day. Exhausting.”

When another fan told her to just unfollow people spreading negativity, Nicki agreed. “Word. Any aggy sh*t I see from now on, I’ma hit’m w/that button. Any aggy sh*t retweeted, gon get the same energy. Discussing other ppl gon get that same energy. Talk about them on ya other page. What I miss chile? Oh yea, porn.”

Nicki also made sure that people remember that she’s one of a kind. “And compare me to who chile? Lol. Ain’t a b*tch betta & Ain’t a b*tch badda.” Some believed a few of her tweets were in response to Azealia Banks’s most recent rant. Check it out below.
