Kardashians React To “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” Finale

It’s been a wild 14 years for the Kardashian family since the reality show detailing their lives first aired in 2007. From a string of high-class marriages and divorces to mom Caitlyn Jenner’s transition and subsequent exit from the show, the most exciting and vulnerable parts of the family’s life have aired to fans around the world. Yet that was the beauty of the show- viewers experienced the highs and the lows alongside the Kardashians every week, and the family has taken to Twitter to voice their appreciation for the support they’ve received over the years.

The five Kardashian/Jenner sisters- Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall, and Kylie- have all gone on to pursue highly successful individual careers in fields from makeup to clothing brands. Still, they thanked fans for tuning in to the show in a series of tweets post-finale.

Spearhead of the family Kim wrote “This is such a bittersweet moment for all of us. You guys have been the biggest supporters to us for over 14 years and we love you all so much!!” while younger sister Khloe offered “I will never be able to put into words what [this] show and what you guys mean to me. Please know how much I love you!” Kourtney emphasized those bittersweet feelings by tweeting “wow ok I’m getting very emotional.”

The series finalé found the family venturing on one last family vacation together. Similar to the recent Friends reunion, the Kardashians participated in a number of games surrounding important themes and events from the past 15 seasons of the show. In fact, the last episode features one of the most long-running conflicts in the series,  as Kourtney once again weighs the pros and cons of getting back together with ex Scott Disick. Suffice it to say, fans found an equal share of laughs, tears, and memories watching last night’s show.

Though this marks the end of the family’s run with E! Network, they reportedly are talks with Hulu to continue a similar family-based reality show. Did you watch the finalé last night? Did they end it right? Let us know! Check out the tweets here:

Doja Cat Brings Her Fans On Step Closer To ‘Planet Her’ With The Euphoric ‘Need To Know’

There are so many moments and achievements that arrived for Doja Cat’s thanks to her sophomore album, Hot Pink. A chart-topping song and a TikTok trend are just the half of it, but now that’s all in the past as she’s ready to start a new chapter in her career. Doja’s third album, Planet Her finally has a release date as she announced earlier this week that it would arrive on June 25. With “Kiss Me More,” her collaboration with SZA leading the way, Doja Cat returns with “Need To Know” as the second single from the album.

The track is a euphoric effort supported by a hard-knocking bass and Doja’s repeated requests for a happy ending to her night with her adoring lover. “Wanna know what it’s like / Baby, show me what it’s like,” she proclaims on the song. “I don’t really got no type / I just wanna f*ck all night.” Prior to the song’s release, she spoke about it in a post to Twitter. “Need to know isn’t even the next single is just some sh*t before the next more important single comes out for you to enjoy,” she wrote.

In addition to sharing the release date for Planet Her, Doja also revealed the tracklist and artwork for the album. Its cover art depicts her laying naked on a sparkly neon-colored rock with bright colored particles covering her private parts. As for the tracklist, Planet Her is comprised of 14 songs and guest appearances from Young Thug, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, JID, and SZA.

You can listen to “Need To Know” in the video above.

Planet Her is out 6/25 via RCA Records.

Roddy Ricch Clarifies The Grammy Comments He Directed At Kanye West Last Year

Towards the end of 2020, The Recording Academy announced the nominees for the 2021 Grammy Awards. Amid all the controversy that would pour out after the nominations were revealed, there were certainly celebratory moments for a number of artists like Roddy Ricch. The Compton native received six nominations at the show, which included nods in the Best Rap Song, Song Of The Year, and Record Of The Year categories. Despite it being a high moment, Roddy felt it was ruined for him as just months prior, Kanye West, one of his idols, delivered a golden middle-finger to the Academy by peeing in one his Grammy awards, an act Roddy would criticize him for.

“If I get nominated for six Grammys and a n**** I look to that had 22, 23, 24, 25 of these motherf*ckers and I come in here, I get nominated for six this year, I feel like that’s a good number,” Roddy said during a March Instagram livestream. “And this year this n**** just pissed on that sh*t. Like, how you think that make the world look at my accomplishment, n****? I did all this shit and you pissing on sh*t. That sh*t be lame. I don’t really like that sh*t.” However, during a recent interview on Los Angeles’ Big Boy’s Neighborhood, Roddy clarified the comments he made.

“I feel like what I was saying, I needed to gather my thoughts more and say it how I wanted to say it,” Roddy admitted. “What I was saying was, I grew up looking to a Kanye or Jay as like, if I do this, I want to have 27, 30 Grammys because that’s what they did. When I seen him pissing on a Grammy, it kinda rubbed me wrong ’cause I was like, damn n****, now that I’m getting nominated, I feel like everybody’s sh*tting on the accolades.’”

Kanye West No Longer Follows Kim Kardashian On Twitter

Kanye West has approximately 30.3 million followers on Twitter. The number of people that Kanye follows is substantially smaller: 218, as of this post. Interestingly, Kim Kardashian is no longer among that select group.

As Page Six notes, West recently unfollowed Kardashian as well as her sisters Kourtney and Khloé. It’s not clear, though, when that change happened, whether it was prompted by the birthday wishes he received from Kim and Khloé or by Kim opening up about their divorce on last night’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians series finale. It may also be related to reports that West has been dating model Irina Shayk for at least a few weeks, which Kardashian is reportedly fine with.

It’s worth noting, however, that West currently follows just one account on Instagram, and it’s that of Kardashian.

On yesterday’s episode of Keeping Up, Kardashian explained why she decided to move on from her marriage, attributing part of the reason to a lack of overlap in their lives: “I want someone where we have the same shows in common. I want someone that wants to work out with me. Like, every single day, Khloé and Tristan and I would workout at 6 a.m., the three of us, and I was third-wheeling it for a good eight months in quarantine, and I was so envious of that. I was like, ‘Wow, it’s, like, the little things I don’t have.’ I have all the big things. I have the extravagant everything you can possibly imagine and no one will ever do it like that — I know that, and I’m grateful for those experiences — but I think I’m ready for the smaller experiences that I think will mean a lot.”

Styles P Does What He Does Best On “Scattered”

Styles P is easily one of the most consistent emcees in the game, period. Never deviating from the game plan, the New York legend has kept it thoroughly lyrical since he first emerged on The LOX’s debut Money, Power, & Respect. Today, he came through with another new single “Scattered,” produced by his son Noah Styles.

Off the bat, it’s clear that Styles is as sharp as ever, his bars befitting of his formidable presence. “I got bars and I’m servin’ drinks / I got plugs and I’m servin’ links,” he spits. “Tryin to get the money like Irv did with Murder Inc / I don’t ever write cause if I did, it would murder ink / take a deep breath, hold it in n***a — murder stink.” He keeps the pace going with another relentless verse, switching up his flow and catching slick pockets like a true New York veteran.

Be sure to show some appreciation for Styles P, still murderous with the bars after all these years.

Maroon 5 Secure Nipsey Hussle & YG For “Memories” Remix

Some collaborations are, to put it simply, head-scratchers. Maroon 5’s new remix to “Memories,” released today as part of the band’s new Jordi album, is one such collaboration. Featuring a posthumous appearance from Nipsey Hussle and his longtime west coast counterpart YG, it’s certainly an interesting update of the laid-back and infectious single. But that’s not to say the combination isn’t effective to a degree.

Over the minimalist production and arrangement, YG’s opening verse gets all the more space to shine — brief though it may be, clocking it at a mere eight bars. “I run from reapеrs, dodge bullets from Glock, Ninas,” he reflects. “I live my life tryna prove myself to non-believers.” Nipsey Hussle also gets eight, though it’s admittedly nice to hear the late rapper once again. I done lost love, lost fifties, lost dubs,” he raps. “Lost fights, ni*ga, lost life of loved ones / Lost time, pressin’ rewind, it won’t budge.”

Check out the bittersweet remix to Maroon 5’s “Memories” now — rest in peace Nipsey Hussle.

The Game Praises His Son For Earning College Scholarship In An Emotional Tribute

The Game shared a heartwarming message to his son on Instagram, Thursday, after announcing that 17-year-old Harlem Caron Taylor received a scholarship to the University of Oregon.

In the statement, The Game reflected on the time Taylor was born, before his rap career took off, and the hardship he and his partner Aleska had to endure.

“I can remember your mother @___aleska telling me she was pregnant with you & us both not knowing what on earth to do or how we were going to do it… But on that day, I promised her that by the time you were born I’d be a millionaire & at the time that was 100% cap,” he explained. “I just wanted her to know that I was in it with her for the long haul no matter what was ahead. I started watching 106 & Park while bagging up dope just to keep us afloat & there was this one episode where the rapper ‘Shyne’ was on the show. I said to myself, ‘that’s it… I’m bout to learn how to rap’ !!! I was trash af in the beginning but as the months passed & your mothers stomach grew, I got better & better. By the time you were born, I was signed to Dr. Dre & looking back…”

The Game added that he “shouldn’t have made it out alive,” but praised his son for the tremendous accomplishment in an emotional conclusion to the message:

I really don’t know how the hell I was able to grind the way I did as fast as I did to secure that deal but I did it. I did it for YOU… I did it for your mother & I’ve never told you about everything that happened in between to secure your future but I shouldn’t have made it out alive. From the day you were born to your 8th grade graduation, to now, I’ve given you my all & I’m so fucking proud of you today that even shedding tears wouldn’t convey my hearts inner most joys. You are more than I expected you to become & I will always be here to support you as I have been. You are a champion & today… a CALABASAS HIGH-SCHOOL CLASS OF 2021 GRADUATE & that my son is the greatest gift you could give me & your mother at this level in life. Thank you & I love you more than life.

The Game has two other children, a son named King Justice Taylor, born in 2007, and a daughter named California Dream Taylor, born in 2010.

Kanye West Unfollows Kim Kardashian & Her Family On Twitter

Kanye West is slowly distancing himself from Kim Kardashian and her family. According to a report from Page Six, West unfollowed his estranged wife on Twitter, as well as her entire family.

Following his six-year marriage to Kim Kardashian, Kanye West has officially cut ties with the billionaire socialite, unfollowing her on Twitter. It’s unclear when Kanye pressed the unfollow button on Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, and the rest of the family. It’s worth noting, however, that he still follows only one person on Instagram, and that’s Kim. On Twitter, he’s still following dozens of Kardashian fan pages.

It was reported this week that Kanye started dating supermodel Irina Shayk. The two have reportedly been dating for a few months, most recently taking a trip to France this week to celebrate the creative’s birthday. They have history, working together as part of numerous YEEZY runway shows. Irina was also featured in the music video for “Power” and she was name-dropped in “Christian Dior Denim Flow.”

Ironically, Kanye stopped keeping up with his estranged wife’s family on Twitter the same week that their longstanding reality series, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, ended. Do you think he will end up getting back together with Kim or are they officially done for good?

Lil Wayne Looks Back On 13 Years Of “Tha Carter III”

In the mid-two-thousands, Lil Wayne embarked on an ambitious campaign to be recognized as the “best rapper alive.” A lofty goal to be sure, and one that might have shattered the resolve of a lesser lyricist. Somehow, against all odds, Weezy managed to pull it off — and quite decisively, thanks to a simultaneous output of studio albums and classic mixtapes.

In hindsight, one of the most impactful projects of the lot turned out to be Tha Carter III, which turned thirteen years old only yesterday. Featuring classic tunes like “A Milli,” “Mr. Carter,” “A Milli,” “Lollipop,” and many more, the album widened the scope of Wayne’s fanbase considerably, further establishing his presence as a commercial juggernaut.

Though he’s seldom one for sentimentality, Weezy took a moment to reflect on Tha Carter III’s milestone anniversary. “Happy 13th to the project that really showed me my fans/supporters have love for me!!!” captions Wayne. “We did “Amilli” the first week in a time where sales were down because of piracy/bootlegging!!! For that I’ll forever be grateful!”

It’s certainly interesting to hear Wayne reflect on the piracy era, given how brutally Tha Carter III was ravaged by leaks prior to its release. Fans likely recall some of the songs lost in the shuffle, and in a different timeline, Weezy’s third Carter chapter may have sounded completely different — and who knows what butterfly effect may have occurred as a result.

So once again, happy birthday to Tha Carter III — which songs have you been keeping on steady rotation?

Quavo Confirms He Took Back Saweetie’s Bentley On New Migos Song

After a three-year relationship, Quavo and Saweetie have broken up and both of them have been navigating the split in the public eye. They’ve each made ugly remarks about the other during interviews and in song previews, and we’ve heard sensational stories about Quavo possibly having Saweetie’s Bentley, which he bought for her, repossessed. In a few different new music previews, the Migos rapper could be heard seemingly confirming that he took back the expensive gift in the ultimate act of pettiness. Now that the group’s new album Culture 3 is out, Quavo made it clear that the rumors were true.

On one of the most popular songs from the album, Quavo appears to validate that Saweetie’s Bentley was taken away from her when they ended their relationship. The song is called “Having Our Way” and it features Drake. When Quavo ends his verse, his takes a quick dig at his ex-girlfriend, saying, “She had it her way, now she out of a Bentley” with “skrrt” ad-libs.

Previously, Quavo hinted that he had the car repossessed in a snippet, rapping, “Lil’ bitty b*tch, she slimy, she sneaky/I’m takin’ back that Bentley.”
