We never quite got to see what could’ve played out in love between Quavo and Karrueche Tran, though longtime stans of the rapper and actress continue to ship them. The latter hasn’t been seriously linked to anyone in some time, though the former has been somewhat quietly spending time with a gymnast by the name of Erica Fontaine. It’s been roughly a year of casual date nights for them, and we even saw a video of Quavo publicly planting a kiss on his rumoured boo a few weeks back.

Despite the Atlanta-based lyricist seemingly getting comfortable with the athlete, his past flame couldn’t resist teasing him on Instagram earlier this month. Rather than pressing people to answer the age-old question – $500K or dinner with Jay-Z? – Quavo asked his followers, “Lunch with Qua-Z, or take the cheese?” Before long, Karrueche dropped by the comments to let us know she’s going with option B, no questions asked.

Upon seeing this, internet sleuths speculated we might be seeing Q&K sneaking in and out of restaurants to enjoy each other’s company again soon. Instead, The Shade Room reports that 24-year-old Fontaine and Quavo were outside in Paris together earlier this week. She opted for an all-black Prada ensemble, meanwhile, her beau layered a brown and black furry sweater over pants with zipper details. He accessorized with a few silver chains, looking dapper as always as paparazzi cameras flashed away at the pair.

Since his unexpected split from Saweetie, Quavo has yet to publicly adore another woman as much as he did the Icy Girl. As the blogger tells it, he was responsible for trying to set the B2K alum up with Tran. At the time, he brought a group of beautiful young women to the club with him for a night out with Omarion and Chris Brown, and Lee noticed one of his guests was vibing with the former singer. “I thought y’all were gonna be a thing,” he recalls predicting. “Yeah, that’s true,” Jason’s guest agreed before they noted that Rueche was photographed with Breezy not long after.

The half-Vietnamese, half-Black entertainer suspects that they could’ve either been referring to Coi Leray or Jhene Aiko given her recent hairstyle change. Apparently she just walked away from the fan while laughing, which is pretty cold-blooded but perhaps exactly what they deserved in her eyes if they didn’t have their receipts on deck. It’s a small but curious peek into a celebrity’s life that we don’t always get to peep, but always results in entertaining antics.

“Someone asked me for a picture today,” Karrueche Tran wrote on a picture of herself on her Instagram Story recently. “And then said ‘Thank you so much, I love your music!’” “I didn’t ask who they thought I was,” Chris Brown’s 35-year-old ex elaborated on Twitter. “I just laughed and kept walking. Fans have hit the comments section of The Shade Room‘s clip to share their thoughts on the funny moment.

“Me too girl,” one fan writes. Another acknowledges that it appears as though Karrueche may turn up a little too much after the major swig. “Take her home,” they write alongside laughing emojis, “it goes downhill from here every time.” Several fans found the clip relatable, describing Karrueche as “so authentic.” “Always me hunni. Karrueche Spills Her Drink

Earlier this year, Karrueche Tran’s father passed away. The loss prompted the actor and model to share a touching tribute. She posted several photos of her and her late father on Instagram along with a heartfelt caption about the loss. “The past seven says have been tough…receiving the call I always feared,” she began on social media. Tran continued, “Making decisions I wasn’t prepared for… being at Sundance which is something I prayed for… trying to celebrate my accomplishments while in pain… feeling so many emotions all at once and at the same time feeling numb.” She told her father, “Rest in paradise dad.” Karrueche was later met with an outpouring of love and support from fans, who acknowledged the difficult loss.

In February, Chris Brown was called out for allegedly abusing Karrueche during their previous relationship. Social media users also cited the fact that Karrueche even got a restraining order against him in 2017. Allegedly, Brown threatened her with violence on several occasions.

Chris Brown recently faced even more social media backlash for his abuse and harassment of former partner Karrueche Tran. Furthermore, these attacks came after the singer exploded on Instagram, criticizing critics of his past violence against his ex Rihanna. However, many pointed out that his actions form into a repeated pattern of mistreatment. Moreover, the court issued a five year restraining order against Brown in Tran’s favor back in 2017. Their case stemmed from occasions when he threatened her with violence when they broke up, and beat her previously.

“It’s funny how Chris Brown always forgets to mention how he abused and harassed Karrueche to a point where she had to get a restraining order on him,” one person tweeted. “It’s not about one singular thing it’s your whole history of abuse.” Also, other users acknowledged that this is a much less known-about case than Brown’s actions against Rihanna. “People who defend Chris Brown, only bring up Rihanna & how she forgave him. They never mention the restraining order with Karrueche Tran. Him throwing her downstairs, punching her in the stomach & harassment, his colorist or holding a woman hostage with a gun etc. Says a lot.”

Furthermore, one Twitter user in particular had a lengthy statement on their acknowledgement of Brown’s actions from a fan perspective. “What Rihanna decided after CB abused her should have nothing to do with where your integrity, morals, and beliefs stand. Victims of DV tend to forgive/go back to their abusers often. Also that wasn’t a one and done. CB was hell on wheels after that. Ask Karrueche Tran about that restraining order that was granted to 5 yrs. Ask dark skinned women, ask the folks at GMA. Look, I still listen to his music, but I’m also not being intellectually dishonest and rewriting history in order to make me feel ok in the fact that I still snap my fingers to ‘No Guidance’ and ‘Strip.’

“Stop acting like that pic of Rihanna’s face beaten wasn’t that big of a deal because ‘she forgave him,’” they continued. “Stop acting like a 5 year restraining order isn’t a big deal, stop acting like being a colorist isn’t a big deal. Just say I know he has violent and problematic ways however, I still choose to support him. And in all honesty thats the issue. Y’all don’t want to say that because you know how it sounds so y’all rewrite history and lie about his ways in order to feel justified in your support of him. Karrueche Tran has shared a tribute for her later father, DeVon Minters, who passed away, last week. The actress shared the statement while she was at Sundance Film Festival.

Additionally, she shared numerous photos of the two of them together from throughout the years.

Karrueche Tran was at Sundance to attend the premiere of the film, Divinity.

Tran previously discussed her relationship with her father during an interview with MadamNoire in 2015. At the time, she revealed that her dad was gay.

“I don’t think I’ve ever told anybody this, but my father is gay,” she said, before adding, “I think I never told anybody just because I don’t realize that that’s not necessarily normal. I live my life as me, so it’s just like, ‘Oh, that’s my dad.’”

She added: “Love conquers all. It doesn’t matter what race, what age, how you look or anything… Love is love.”
