Diddy To Be “Indicted Soon,” Lil Rod’s Attorney Alleges

Rodney “Lil Rod” Smith’s attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, claims Diddy will face an indictment “soon.” He said as much to Page Six when the outlet asked him about his client’s reckless homicide conviction from 2003 and other charges throughout the years. Blackburn explained that Rod “did not have adequate legal representation” at the time. Lil Rod is currently suing Diddy for $30 million with allegations of sexual assault stemming from a time when he was reportedly working on Diddy’s The Love Album: Off The Grid, from September 2022 to November 2023.

“I am sure you know that a charge is not a conviction,” Blackburn, who has faced scrutiny over his litigation tactics in the past, told the outlet. “So, running this story on behalf of [Diddy’s camp] is problematic and calls into question your integrity as a journalist. Mr. Jones’ July 2003 reckless homicide occurred when he was 17 years old. He was driving a vehicle with his cousin in the passenger seat. The police pulled him over, but he was afraid and drove off. It was pretty typical behavior for a young black boy in Chicago when pulled over by the police. As a result, he totaled the vehicle, and his cousin, who was his best friend, died.”

Blackburn continued: “He has to live with the guilt of the death of his best friend and family member for the rest of his life. But don’t let that stop you from running this story and getting your clicks. [Diddy’s] legal team can do nothing to distract from the fact that he will be indicted soon.”

Diddy has adamantly denied the allegations against him for months. His attorney, Shawn Holley, previously told Page Six that Lil Rod “is nothing more than a liar” and accused him of “shamelessly looking for an undeserved payday.” Blackburn’s comments on a possible indictment come after Homeland Security agents raided Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami, last month. Halle Bailey Shares Her “Severe, Severe” Experience With Postpartum Depression

Halle Bailey recently gave birth to her first child with DDG, Halo. Overall, the baby boy seems happy and healthy, with both parents enjoying their newfound responsibility. However, in a new interview with People, Bailey spoke about some of the struggles she has faced since giving birth. In fact, she has had to deal with postpartum depression, which is one of the toughest battles someone can face. Although it has been a hard battle, Bailey is pushing through, and she has been extremely brave in detailing her story.

“I have severe, severe postpartum, and I don’t know if any new moms can relate, but it’s to the point where it’s really bad, and it’s hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes at a time before I start to kind of freak out,” Bailey explained. “Halo is a miracle. He is perfect. He is beautiful. When I look at him, I cry because of how special he is. The only thing that’s been hard for me is feeling normal in my own body. I feel like a completely different person. When I look in the mirror, I just feel like I’m in a whole new body. Like, I don’t know who I am.”

Bailey admits that some time ago, she kind of dismissed the idea of postpartum depression. Now, however, she knows better, as it has become a daily battle for her. “Before I had a child and I would hear people talk about postpartum, it would kind of just go in one ear and out the other. I didn’t realize how serious of a thing it actually was,” she noted. “Now going through it, it almost feels like you’re swimming in this ocean that’s like the biggest waves you’ve ever felt and you’re trying not to drown. And you’re trying to come up for air.”

SpotemGottem Subjected To Horrific Racism Thanks To Bizarre Billboard In Michigan

SpotemGottem is an artist who has been through a lot as of late. Overall, he is currently dealing with a weapons charge and a viral video of himself looking to evade police. All of this happened a couple of years following his mega viral hit “Beat Box.” Numerous artists gave their take on this track, and it has been beloved by fans. Although he hasn’t been able to come through with another hit since that time, fans are still eager to hear more from him. After all, if you have one hit in you, you can probably get another with a bit of work and dedication.

Now, however, SpotemGottem is making headlines for a completely different reason, and it is an unfortunate one at that. Furthermore, one could say this is a situation that he would have never expected. Below, you can see that a billboard in Michigan popped up with SpotemGottem’s face on it. Moreover, there was a message attached that simply said “Go Back To Africa!” It is a disgustingly racist message, and it is one that many are confused about.

As it stands, there is no information on who commissioned this billboard, or how it was able to get onto a public-facing stand like this. Additionally, there are no reports as to whether or not the state has taken the billboard down. Racism has been getting extremely brazen in 2024, although mostly in online spaces such as Twitter. However, this recent billboard is incredibly disturbing, and we hope the proper action is taken against it.

Kanye West Finally Reveals “Vultures 2” Release Date After Two-Month Delay

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign dropped off Vultures 1 all the way back in February. However, since that time, they have yet to release Vultures 2. Originally, the sequel was going to come out on March 8th, while a third album would drop on April 5th. Now, we are at the end of April, and the first sequel still hasn’t arrived. Fans are obviously confused by this and have been looking for answers. Overall, they have had to piece things together through Discord groups and other leakers who claim to have some sort of in with the Yeezy camp.

Recently, Kanye West was on a podcast with Justin Laboy. During this podcast, Ye spoke up about Vultures 2 and how he and Ty have been working extremely hard on it. Although he didn’t give too much insight into the tracks and features on the album, he did give us a date. According to the clip below, Ye and Ty will be dropping their new album on May 3rd. That means the project is coming out in about 10 days, and it will fall on a Friday, like most releases do.

This date has previously been given, although it was not a date that had been confirmed by Kanye himself. Now, it appears as though fans have something truly tangible to go off of. Today In Hip Hop History: X-Clan Dropped Their Debut Album ‘To The East, Blackwards’ 34 Years Ago

On this day in 1990, “The Verbalizer” Brother J, Professor X “The Overseer”, Paradise “The Architect” and DJ Sugar Shaft “The Rhythm Provider” collectively known as X-Clan, released their debut LP To The East, Blackwards on 4th And B’Way/Island Records.

Produced by the entire crew that was put together by Paradise, who at the time ran the NYC Hip Hop hotspot Latin Quarters nightclub, this album helped to pioneer a movement of Black empowerment in Hip Hop culture with an infusion of Parliament/Funkadelic that was attractive to the youth of that era. Their “Blackwatch” organization, which was led by Professor X’s father, Brooklyn activist Sonny “Abubadika” Carson, legitimized their involvement in raising the consciousness of the Hip Hop generation and their 11 track, debut project was one of the tools that they used to attract their cult-like followers.

Tracks such as “Funkin’ Lesson” and “Heed The Word Of The Brother” led to the album’s mainstream visibility, however, other songs like “A Day Of Outrage(Operation Snatchback)”, “Verbs Of Power” and “In The Ways Of The Scales” allow Brother J to instruct the listeners about the socio-political issues of people of African descent around the world, but primarily in the United States.

Salute to the original members of X-Clan as well as those who continue to carry the legacy of the Clan. Thanks for this timeless piece of Hip Hop history!
