Charlamagne Tha God Really, Really Wants Kendrick Lamar To Drop Drake Diss

It’s been almost a full week since Drake “dropped” his scathing diss track “Push Ups” at press time, taking aim at many targets. Chief among them was Kendrick Lamar, someone who notoriously stays away from the media and from really most forms of overt engagement. As such, it’s not really surprising that he hasn’t dropped a response track to the OVO mogul yet… but there’s certainly a lot of pressure on him from the hip-hop world who knows that he basically started this. Whether the Compton lyricist will refrain from responding due to a change of heart, belief in his original “Like That” verse, not feeling like “Push Ups” was adequate (or even weak) enough to respond to is a question only for Father Time.

But many, like Charlamagne Tha God, want an answer expeditiously… and the conversation below is a really weird one that we’ll try to keep focused on the Kendrick Lamar stuff in our transcription. “Where Dot at?” he told Andrew Schulz during a recent sit-down. “First of all, I’m the OG Drake hater. I’m an OG veteran Drake hater… If Kendrick comes with some s**t, I’ma come in here and give a fair analysis of that, too. If he comes in here with some s**t that’s like ‘Oh, s**t,’ then yes, I’ma give it up for Kendrick, too.

Charlamagne Tha God & Andrew Schulz Argue About Kendrick Lamar, Drake & Race

“Oh, my God, yo, Kendrick, please, Kendrick, you gotta drop,” Charlamagne Tha God continued. “Kendrick, you on the clock, you see what you doing? You see what you doing to your fans? Kendrick! I don’t know either, man. Kendrick, if you f**k around and don’t drop this week or by this weekend, I don’t know what’s going to happen to your fans. I’ma still support you, I’ma still ride with you.

“You got to have your head up,” he concluded. “I like hip-hop, I was listening this weekend like, ‘Yes!’ I like all this s**t, I like watching Drake do this. I like to watch Ross do this, I like watching Akademiks going crazy on the live, I like this s**t. Okay? I like watching this s**t, I love it, It’s dope.” Regardless of the debate, for more news and the latest updates on Charlamagne Tha God, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake, keep checking in with HNHH.

Jerrod Carmichael Admits He “Regrets” Dave Chappelle Criticism, Makes JAY-Z Analogy

Jerrod Carmichael says he “deeply regrets” criticizing Dave Chappelle during a profile for GQ back in 2022. At the time, get lamented that Chappelle’s “legacy is a bunch of opinions on trans sh*t” and called that “an odd hill to die on.” He walked back those comments while speaking with Charlamagne Tha God on The Breakfast Club on Tuesday.

“I deeply regret saying anything about Dave Chappelle to the press,” Carmichael admitted. “Honestly, from now on, any thoughts I have for Dave will be directed in a phone call to Dave. I’ll never do it again—I do apologize for that. I’m man enough to say that. I don’t want the attention, it’s gone on way too long.”

Jerrod Carmichael Attends Premiere Of His Reality Show

Despite the walk back of how he handled the situation, he still feels his point, in context, is valid. “The criticism that I had had nothing to do with the morality of the joke, had nothing to do with the ethics of the joke, that’s something that’s also been misreported,” he explained. “The criticism I had was that of a fan, someone who respects him so much that I want him to focus his genius on a wide range of topics. I think that it started being really, really focused on one thing. I’ll say this, I’m also a big fan of JAY-Z. If JAY-Z made three albums about trans people, I’d be like ‘Hey, what’s going on with JAY?’”

Charlamagne Tha God Thinks Drake Is Ducking Kendrick Lamar’s Smoke For This Reason

The Breakfast Club is weighing in yet again about the biggest question in rap right now: when will Drake and Kendrick Lamar face off? Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Jess Hilarious all had different perspectives on what the Toronto superstar could do, and what the Compton creative’s plans and motivations are. “I got confidence in Drizzy. To rap!” Envy proposed. “No, he gon’ come back. I don’t know when, hopefully soon. You don’t think so? Nah, we acting like Drake ain’t got bars. Is that what we’re saying? Y’all stop it, man, y’all stop it!”

“Yeah, he can rap, but he ain’t got nothing on Kendrick Lamar,” Charlamagne Tha God remarked. “He better keep chilling with Sexyy Red, that’s what he better keep doing,” Jess Hilarious added. “Drake is phenomenal, Drake and Kendrick Lamar would be a phenomenal match-up,” Charlamagne clarified. “I’m just telling you, he don’t want it with Kung Fu Kenny. He don’t want it with Kung Fu Kenny.” “He can take A$AP [Rocky], he can take The Weekend, he can sing back,” Jess posited. “Drake is a smart championship fighter,” Tha God elaborated. “He knows the match he should not take. He been ducking this match for several years. Several!”

“Did people say that when he battled Meek, and him and Meek went back and forth?” DJ Envy asked. “That was a good fight for him, and he won that,” Charlamange Tha God responded. “But then he lost to Pusha, and he don’t want it with Kendrick. And if he do want it with Kendrick, then he need to show improvement. But if he chooses not to, I’m cool on that, too. But I just want him to know that the opp is Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick is the one that wants the fight. Kendrick has been challenging him for several, several years.”

“Okay, well, maybe he’s gonna do it on his time, right?” DJ Envy suggested. “He’s not going to listen to your social media antics and he’s going to do it on his time when he wants to do it.” “I’m not mad at that, either,” Tha God concluded. Charlamagne Tha God Offers Nuanced View Of J. Cole’s Kendrick Lamar Apology

Charlamagne Tha God is easily one of the biggest commentators in the hip-hop world. Overall, his work on The Breakfast Club has elevated him to superstar status. He has been able to host The Daily Show while also dabbling in late night. Although some people do not care for his takes, others love to watch him talk on various subjects. Last night, Charlamagne was given a whole lot to talk about as J Cole issued an apology to Kendrick Lamar. The apology was in relation to the diss track “7 Minute Drill.”

Throughout the morning, there have been numerous hot takes about the diss track. Most people are upset with Cole for deciding to end the feud before it even started. Additionally, some think that this is a sign that hip-hop is dying in terms of it being a competitive sport. However, Charlamagne Tha God has a different take on all of this. As you can see below, he is taking a very mature approach to the whole situation. Essentially, he doesn’t blame Cole for apologizing. In fact, he is praising him for knowing the error of his ways.

Charlamagne Tha God Says His Peace

Charlamagne has always been huge on therapy and self-reflection. Having said that, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he feels this way about J Cole. However, the average hip-hop fan is not having a good day right now. They are angry for the apology, and they were hoping for some more jabs. Whether or not Kendrick even returns fire with a diss track of his own, remains to be seen. Hopefully, we find out soon enough.

Let us know what you think of this take from Charlamagne Tha God, in the comments section down below. Do you like this most recent move from J. Cole? Do you believe it was a weak move on his park? Can he come back from this one? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Charlamagne Tha God Calls DEI ‘Mostly Garbage’ During Daily Show Monologue

Charlamagne Tha God Calls DEI ‘Mostly Garbage’ During Daily Show Monologue

Radio personality and best-selling author Charlamagne said that God called DEI or Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion “mostly garbage” and said it’s pretty much “just corporate PR” the guest host on The Daily Show Wednesday. Yes, they keep casting him.

The NY Post reported the Breakfast Club co-host slammed DEI initiatives as basically ineffective during his monologue that also made light of the programs that many corporations and organizations across the nation integrated in 2020 after the disgusting murder of George Floyd.

“The truth about DEI is that although it’s well-intentioned, it’s most garbage. OK? It’s kind of like the black Little Mermaid,” Said Charlamagne. “Just because racists hate it, doesn’t mean it’s good. “And you know I’m right because every one of you has sat through one of those diversity training sessions and thought, this is some bulls–t.”

He said, “I’m not surprised these programs didn’t work, and here’s why: It’s just corporate PR… They want good vibes.”

Then he said, “Real DEI is only going to come from black leadership,”

Unsurprisingly, the monologue received praise from some on the right, including Elon Musk, who shared footage from The Daily Show on his platform X (formerly Twitter) with a raising hands emoji. How cute.

Charlamagne has criticized President Biden and former President Donald Trump, so don’t assume he’s just pandering to the right.

He recently said Trump is a threat to democracy on an ABC News interview while calling Biden an “uninspiring candidate.” In December, Charlamagne said that President Joe Biden should step aside to allow a different Democrat to run for president. So Trump is a threat to democracy, and Biden should call it quits. Pick a side, brother.

Charlamagne Tha God Wants J. Cole To Respond To Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar’s feature on “LIKE THAT” off Future and Metro Boomin’s new collab album WE DON’T TRUST YOU is quickly becoming one of the biggest musical moments of 2024 so far. In it, he takes aim at Drake and J. Cole, the other members of hip-hop’s supposed “Big Three” for the 2010s decade. But according to the Compton lyricist, he’s the only one on top, and with a lot of pointed references and clever wordplay, he’s challenging Drizzy and Cole to get serious. Many folks are foaming at the mouth for a response, represented quite succinctly by Charlamagne Tha God’s reaction to the verse on the latest episode of The Breakfast Club. Funnily enough, he left some smoke for Big Sean in the process.

“That’s right, [I’m ready for this],” Charlamagne Tha God said of “LIKE THAT” and the relationship between Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole. “That’s right, Cole and Drake, they can’t take the high road. Kendrick’s been asking for smoke for years, since ‘Control.’ No, Cole’s the one that really needs to jump out, [not Drake]. ‘Cause you said you was Muhammad Ali and you got an album coming out. You the one that really need to say something. Not right now, [Big] Sean. Wait a week. Sean, this is what always happens to you. You always get lost in the sauce of the Big Three. You know what, though? There was a couple of years, Sean was lyrically better than a lot of them. I was saying that. Sean was really, really, lyrically in his bag.

The Breakfast Club Debates Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J. Cole & “LIKE THAT”: Watch

He still is, he still is, but there’s a disconnect. Probably what you just said, a lack of consistency. No, [Sean is not four]! What you mean? The Big Three is Kendrick, Future, and then it’s Drake and Cole. That’s the four! The Big Three is Kendrick, Future, fill in the blank, but I know the other two is Drake and Cole. I’m just talking about musically. Not lyrically, musically.” “I’m ready for this,” DJ Nyla Symone remarked. “I’m ready to see it, and I don’t even want to wait until Dreamville Fest for a response. I feel like it needs to be now. Well, Cole can take the high road, honestly. No, Drake’s the one that really need to come out, because Future and Metro got the beef with Drake. They unfollowed Drake, they didn’t unfollow Cole.

“Metro unfollowed Drake, then tweeted out ‘We don’t trust you,’ and then the album dropped, WE DON’T TRUST YOU,” Nyla continued. “Do you think… is Sean four? Drake, Kendrick, Cole. You gotta keep Cole in the top.” Amid their debates, The Breakfast Club also laughed at the idea that unfollowing each other on social media is a sign of war. What do you think about this whole debate? Let us know in the comments down below. Also, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news and more updates on Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Drake, and The Breakfast Club.

Candace Owens Struggles To Defend Her White Husband While Ranting About “Black Families”

Candace Owens had her grifting nature exposed while trying to defend why she married a white man. When pressed by Charlamagne Tha God, Owens fired off about 20 different starts to answer before settling on none of them. As one commenter who reacted to the clips online summarized – “She windmilling all over that question. Basically said she’s too smart for a black man so she had to marry white. This girl has a high school education. And while there’s nothing wrong with that, it certainly doesn’t match her delusion. Bye!”

Of course, Owens isn’t exactly a fan of the US education system. “I just don’t need to hear about Ice Spice’s farts, I just don’t. I don’t want to hear about it. We used to produce really good music and it’s gone down the drain. I think even that is international. I think it’s because it’s a part of the, ‘Let’s slowly make it modify the education systems so that Black people can’t read and, at the same time, feed them with a pipeline of garbage,’ and you will wake up one day, and what surrounds you will be garbage,” Owens ranted last week while speaking with Joe Budden. However, given her support of the right-wing propaganda farm PragerU, Owens doesn’t exactly have the best interests of the education system at heart.

Candace Owens Calls Lizzo “Problematic” And Accuses Her Of Gaslighting

Elsewhere, as part of her interview with Budden, Candace Owens called out Lizzo for gaslighting people. Owens’ issues with Lizzo stem from the response to Lizzo twerking her bare backside at an NBA game. Owens said she had the right to call out Lizzo’s behavior as “problematic”. However, she felt “gaslit” when Lizzo defended herself by saying that it was a “you problem” if you took issue with her behavior.

Of course, Lizzo twerking at an NBA game is the least of her “problematic” behaviors. After all, the singer is currently fighting a fairly nasty sexual harassment lawsuit. Furthermore, Owens is sort of the queen of telling people that their opposing viewpoints are “their problem”.

Charlamagne Tha God Blasts Donald Trump Supporters As White Supremacists

Charlamagne Tha God has not held back while sharing his thoughts about the voter base of Donald Trump. “They’ve accepted fascism and those are the people who I feel like they want their rights to be racist back. They want white supremacy to reign supreme over this nation,” Charlamagne told Stephen A. Smith. Charlamagne has been previously critical of Joe Biden. However, it remains to be seen if Charlamagne will back Biden to avoid a second Trump term.

Furthermore, Smith – a long-time Democrat – agreed that he would not be backing Trump in November. “I’m not voting for him, I can tell you that much right now. I’m not voting for him but it’s not because of his politics. It’s because of his behavior, the kind of person I think he is and I believe that he could potentially cause civil war in this country,” Smith noted. Smith has not yet publicly declared if he will back Biden in November.

Money Man Endorses Donald Trump

Elsewhere, Money Man has become the latest rapper to endorse Trump in the 2024 election. “I f-ck with Trump. I’m f-cking with Trump. I would go Trump. This my thing, I don’t think the Democrats done did sh-t for us. Man, I don’t see n-ggas getting rich out this b-tch man. Trump just, at least the other side they gone tell you how they feel. You know what I’m saying? Shoutout to Trump man,” Money Man said this week.

However, as mentioned, Money Man is not the only rapper backing Trump. Last year, Benny the Butcher announced that he was voting for Trump. Despite this, there are doubts that Benny can vote. Having been convicted of three felonies in the past, Benny could be ineligible to vote, depending on where he is registered. 24 states have laws governing if and how those convicted of felonies can vote. A further 23 states do not allow the currently incarcerated to vote. Only Maine and Vermont have no voting restrictions when it comes to criminal history.

Charlamagne Tha God Says the Way Wendy Williams Spoke to People in Doc ‘Had Nothing to Do with Dementia’

Charlamagne Tha God

Charlamagne Tha God watched Lifetime’s Wendy Williams documentary and wants to set the record straight on some fan reaction. The Breakfast Club host responds to fans who believe dementia made Williams talk to others rudely. From his own experience, that’s not the case.

“That documentary was very triggering for me as someone who worked with Wendy for three years,” Charlamagne said. “I saw people saying dementia was causing her to talk to people like that. No, y’all shut the hell up. Y’all don’t know what y’all talking about that had nothing to do with dementia.

“I was looking at those moments and said, ‘there goes Wendy.’”

Charlamagne Tha God Denies DJ Akademiks Diss Allegations: Watch

Charlamagne Tha God has been a force in radio far longer than many realize, which is precisely why he’s so confident sharing his opinions on others and demanding his flowers. Earlier this week, a resurfaced snippet from an episode of Brilliant Idiots caused some debate online as the media personality referred to others occupying the same spaces in the years after his come-up as his “sons.” Specifically, the internet believes Tha God is referring to DJ Akademiks, host of the Off the Record podcast and known for beefing with femcees publicly.

“How did y’all come to the conclusion I was talking about Akademiks, though?” the South Carolina native asked co-hosts Jess Hilarious and DJ Envy on The Breakfast Club yesterday (February 27). “Well, last year [he] publicly called out you, Wallo, and Gillie and said that y’all are avoiding his podcast, acting brand new or whatever,” the show’s newest addition argued. “That was a year ago,” Charlamagne shot back, clearly not holding onto the past. “Let’s just face it, and say what it is,” Hilarious replied before dissing Ak and his “smell a** basement.”

Rather than feed into the pettiness, the father of four told his pregnant co-host to “cut it out.” Defending himself, Tha God added, “I was just talking. Like, when Nicki Minaj says, ‘All these b**ches is my sons,’ do we say she’s talking to one person?” He might not have satisfied Hilarious and Envy with his answer, but Charlamagne sure did have listeners laughing.

Elsewhere in the news, DJ Akademiks has once again found himself at war with Yung Miami online.
